Dear Frank, You rock! Thanks for taking such great care of my friend Maria. Your spoiling her last night was exactly the pick-me-up she needed, and your chocolate and roses this morning was spectacular. I'm so glad she has you. Dear Christa (aka stepmonster), Yes, you and I did all these things when we were teenagers, but we're girls. With the exception of Senor Jason, and a few FI/DH's going above the call of duty every now and again (see letter to Frank above), most guys didn't have a clue at 16 and still don't. Their inability to fend for themselves starts at birth and goes downhill from there! It's not too late- maybe you can change him yet! Dear Jeff, While it is sweet that you called me just now at 2:00, please remember that I was sleeping because I just worked all night. Would you like me to wake you up at 4am next time I miss you? I'm glad that you miss me and want to hear my voice, it is sweet of you really, but it would be sweeter if you let me sleep in! Especially since I'm getting ready to start (yet another) 72 hour work week. That's ok, I'll just veg out on the forum for a while!

We either wanted 7-7-07, 5-5-07, or 5-7-07- and that's the only one that was still available for the photographer and the resort. I got married on a Tuesday

It depends on how much I work- which directly translates to how much time we actually see eachother. Yes, you do have to be in the same house in order to get the deed done (well, there's always phone sex, but that's kinda hard to accomplish where I work! lol). Since I've been working 60+ hrs a week since I don't know when, we're down to 2-3 times a week, although often 4. When we first started dating it was that many times a day! How far we've fallen... I think we're both pretty satisfied at this point, and if we're not, we talk about it, and someone will give in for the sake of the other (that's usually me).

Oh Heidi. I am so very very sorry. I can not express to you over the computer how truly sorry I am. I know you wanted this baby more than anything. I know that nothing I can say will help right now, but I just want you to know that I'm always available if you need to talk more. I'm so sorry for your loss. Big hug sweetie.

I had parasols at the ceremony (just for the girls) and fans at the reception for everyone. The doubled as my thank-you note, and they sat underneath the menus. eta: I just went through my pics and found proof that someone used them (my stepmom! lol) Unfortunately I have no pro pics or otherwise of the actual fan on the plate with the menu on top. Sad- it was pretty.

Congratulations! I can't believe your day is finally here. Have a wonderful time- don't stress about anything, and enjoy your husband! You two have been through so much in this last year, you deserve some peace and happiness. I'm so proud of you for sticking it out through everything you've faced. Robin can keep everyone in line for ya! Hurry up with the pics Robin- can't wait to see your work!

Dear Glenda, Your are the sarcasm MASTER. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time Dear Julie, Screw unappreciative people and lame givers. You've done your part, write a generic thank you letter and write these people off. You deserve better. Dear Heidi, I'm with you on the sub chorionic hemorrhage. Dear DH, This is mean, but I'm glad you had a bad day at work. I'm soooooo sick to death of your asshole boss and I wish you'd do something about it. I know you want to further your education but are scared. Well, guess what? You're not gonna get a better job unless you go to school. Yup, it sucks, but as I was considering 10 years of medical school to better our family, the least you could do is consider an associates degree in respiratory therapy (yup, that's all the schooling you need & you'll make more $$ than me- imagine that). I know you can do it and I totally support you, I'll even work 72 hours a week to support us while you do it- just DO IT! I love you more than life...

A couple comments... First of all, a wedding at an AI isn't free. I paid $66 PER GUEST and that was just for the food/drinks. Sure, it probably was cheaper than if I'd had it at a non-AI, but it definitely wasn't free. That didn't include the thousands I spent on decor and entertainment. Yes, people might think you're getting a deal if you have a wedding at an AI, but they also need to realize that they are too. It's more expensive to eat and drink at a non-AI, unless you don't eat or drink much!

Post pix of your tablescapes
Sarah replied to Lizzy's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I did the group table thing since we had a small group (thanks to Christa for the inspiration). I have no pro pics of my table setup, but here are a couple snapshots i found: -
Dear Dad, Please stop spending all of your time and money on other people and do something nice for yourself for once. You're 50 years old- it's time to start thinking about YOUR future. Oh, I almost forgot, try paying more attention to your kids/stepkids that DON'T cause you grief, instead of focusing on the one stepbrother that's a trainwreck all the time. Dear Evil Patient from Sunday Night, You know what? You're not the first person to have a baby, nor are you the first person to decline pain meds- this is your choice, not my fault. It is not appropriate for you to get on the phone and scream at your baby daddy- I wouldn't want to be there while you are giving birth either- except that I have to work overtime to pay for your welfare so you can continue to produce multiple illegitimate children with various drug dealers while you traipse in with your manicured nails, Louis Vuitton bag, new hair-do, and entourage of 15. So glad my tax dollars go to support your ass, so you can be in labor, so I can try my best to help you have a pain-med free delivery while you verbally abuse me, kick me, hit me, and scream in my ear for 4 hours. Yup, you're a loser, and even though you kicked me out of the room 4 times, I STILL came back and finished your delivery, just so you could tell me you hate me and can't wait until I leave at 7am. Trust me, the feeling is mutual. Oh, almost forgot- have I mentioned to you that it's NOT FAIR that my BDW friends who would be great parents can't have kids while you continue to populate the earth with your devil's spawn? I hope Karma bites you in the ass. Oh yeah, one more thing- I thorough enjoyed painting a really bad picture of you to the social worker on Monday morning. Yup, your marijuana drug screen came back positive, and nope, you're probably not taking that baby home with you. Have a nice life beyotch. Dear BDW friends, Thanks for keeping me sane while I continue on my journey of figuring out what I want to be when I grow up. I've realized a few things over the last couple weeks. I don't have to go to med school to be a successful person. I already am one. I don't have to make that much more money to be happy- I already am. I also don't want to be so busy that I don't have time for my DH, or my friends (and that includes you all). While the final decision hasn't been made yet, I'm almost starting to think that my next big challenge in my life needs to be motherhood, not doctor. The jury is still out, but that's the verdict they're leaning toward... Dear Heidi's boss, Karma's a beyotch.
