Let's see... I also prefer to list what I gave, rather than what I got (although I did get some nice stuff so I'll list that too!). For DH: Craftsman tool chest for the garage Johnny Walker Black (Jaime, our men have good taste!) Misc. stocking stuff For Dad: Meat Grinder & Time-lapse camera for hunting For Mom: Robe George Foreman Grill (I didn't think that there were still people that didn't own one of these!) For MIL: Carved Cherry plant stand Candlesticks Hand-blown vase For Step-FIL: MSU "Scoreboard" that shows time.date.temp for their bar room For FIL: Emergency radios Robe & PJs Gourmet coffee For SIL, BIL, & 4 nephews: Robe & gloves for the BIL.SIL, then a crapload of toys for the boys For my Bro, SIL & Niece, I shipped a 40lb box full of toys for Ava. She got a princess tent, tons of dress up clothes, purses, play jewelry, dolls, stuffed animals and clothes. She's spoiled It's my fault It's just my first Christmas away from my brother (he's stationed in kansas now) so I went a little overboard. My BFF & her DH/Kids: BFF got a photo book (made by me) of her recent trip to Italy for their 5th anniversary- it turned out awesome if I do say so myself! Her DH: Humidor Her kids: a ton of toys I got... From Jeff: A GPS (woohoo!), a heated mattress pad (yes!), a couple movies, 8 PSP games, Fox racing sweatshirt, hoodie, t-shirt and hat (love Fox Girls clothing), some candy/socks/misc stocking stuff From bro: A gorgeous 1st christmas ornament From MIL & Step FIL: A PSP (Woohoo!), slippers, tons of stocking stuff, and some $$ From BFF: A ginormous gift basket with chocolates and gourmet wine/foods/coffee...yummy We still have to do Christmas with my parents, jeff's sis, jeff's dad & my grandma. That will be this weekend

My OOT bags and candles
Sarah replied to StephanieMN's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I love them Stephanie! The colors are great... You girls all have such great idea. I want to plan another wedding so I can steal them! -
Congratulations Sol & Matt! Your pictures are gorgeous- looks like it was an awesome party Thanks for sharing your plans with us!

Jessica, I would be seriously pissed. I think that because of my past I'm a little sensitive to extra attention being paid to my man, but regardless I think this is a little over the top. I'm glad you decided to keep the gifts. Now, you just need to drive the point home that you're the MOTHER and the WIFE! Sign the note something like "Aiden, Jessica, and Jessica's husband Brian"... I hope she gets the point. I totally think she was trying to make a dig at you by excluding you off the card... unbelievably bold and tacky imo. Bitch. Skank.

Nordstrom ROCKS!
Sarah replied to Leia78's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I love Nordstrom too! I bought my BM dresses there, and one of my BM's backed out like 6 months after I bought the dress...they still took it back and I had already returned stuff from the order at the time. Their customer service was wonderful! Those dresses are gorgeous Leia! What color did you end up getting? -

Invitation after guest replies no to STD?
Sarah replied to nylalany's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
It depends on who (like Rachel said). If you have the invitations anyway and they aren't expensive and they're an important person, I'd probably still send them -

LALA's Dreams Los Cabos Wedding Review 12/07 (long)(pics)
Sarah replied to -Kate-'s topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Oh Kate you look absolutely breathtaking! That dress (and you in it!) is amazing. Wowzers, I can't wait to see the juan pics if these ones are so good! Thanks for the great review. I'm glad you guests had a good experience at Dreams, despite the sick stuff- that's a bummer. I try to warn people to be careful what they eat or drink in Mexico, but some people have to learn the hard way! I can't believe there was a mouse....yuck! Anyway, glad you're back. I think you get the reward for most prompt review! Congratulations -

Actually, if you really wanted to be budget-conscious, just use double-stick tape! Get a cheap paper cutter (you can get them for like $10 at Hobby Lobby and other craft store) and cut like 1/4 to 1/2 inch off each edge so that there is a border when you tape it to the cardstock. I still think that would look awesome (and expensive!).

1st Fitting (with pics!)
Sarah replied to MrsV-to-be's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Gorgeous! You look amazing -
I haven't found a way to make 4x8 cards at mpix. They have 4x6 and 5x7 but they are more expensive than the 4x8. That's why I suggested making the 4x8 with enough room to crop the edges and affix to a cardstock background. I think this would accomplish 2 things: dress it up and make it thicker... What resolution are you saving your .jpg's to? Mine seem to turn out fine and my quality doesn't diminish at all when I save as a 300dpi jpg in Lumapix.

Sorry I abandoned you- had to go get some sleep! I love the big picture, in color, like everyone else. Those look awesome! I think set on a turqoise background (even metallic would be way cool) the color would really pop. You could add vellum and a ribbon if you wanted to get super fancy. Can't wait to see the finished product! Awesome job
-
I would normally go black & white, but I think I like the color. You could even put this on another layer in the color of the text if you wanted to get really fancy...or use that for a ribbon or something. The only think I'm not sure about (and I'm the one that did it originally so I can criticize myself) is the script for the quote. It's hard to read. You might try it in the other Copper Caps because this one is really scripty- the other one is a little less. Or, maybe just in Optimus? It's ok like it is, but it seems a little busy. Great job!

Beautiful slideshow Juan! I love seeing your work from new places. Some of my favorite work from you is when you're doing something new- you're always so creative. Amazing as always. I hope things are going well for you. I'm sure you're glad things have slowed down a little so you can get caught up. Are you and your family ready for Christmas?
