  2. I forgot how much I love your dress Shelley! Love love love it! How fun to finally have it in hand
  3. There were a ton of people at my shower that weren't at the wedding- but they WERE invited to the wedding. Therein lies the difference, imo. If you'd been invited to the wedding but couldn't make it I'd still say attend the shower. But, since you weren't invited to the wedding it seems a little odd. It doesn't sound like you're great friends with these people, so I guess I'd skip this one. I'd probably still give a wedding gift, but not a shower gift- I'd do one or the other.
  4. Wow Jenn- everything looks sooo cool! You've done a great job pulling it all together. Your guests are going to go bonkers over their OOT bag stuff- the bags, towels, everything is so great! Have a wonderful time & congratulations! Don't stress, just take time to enjoy it all...
  5. Make sure your image and black background are all the way to the edge, just that all the "important" stuff- like you & J, the wording, etc, are within that boundary. I think 1/4 inch should be safe though. Which cards are you making? Are you doing their template thing?
  6. I just thought of one more thing... Have you printed MPix cards before or seen how much they take off the edge? I'm just worried about the bottom of "gracias" getting cut off. You might want to give yourself like 1/2 inch all the way around just to be safe.

I definitely like the Scriptina font better when you do it that way. They look fantastic Awesome job...

You have a talent for this sort of thing as we've all mentioned before. So when you say "good job" or "I like it" it really means alot. Thanks again Oh, and here's the font...
  9. Aww, thanks Mel. Seriously, you could have sent it like it was and it was great...now, once again a BDW collaborative project has turned out awesome You did a fantastic job- can't wait to see what you come up with in the end!
  10. Don't be down on yourself Leigh! You have to treat yourself sometimes. I like the idea of only eating half next time. But, again, it's probably just water retention from the salty chips. I bet you're back down in a couple days. I usually notice a 2-3 lb gain after I eat salty popcorn at the theater. Or, maybe it's just fat that soaks into your ass from sitting in those seats lol

Thanks for catching J being half cropped off the photo, I didn't catch that and I definitley don't want him in half. These will be folded cards from Mpix. I was going to do a test though by printing 1 off at home first before I put in the order. Have any suggestions for font? anyone? Did you see what I did on the last page? I think we were posting at the same time... I used Jane Austen. I LOVE what you did, changing to B&W and movin J back on the pic! Looks great! I also don't mind the Scriptina font so much now that it's just Gracias...
  12. OK, so here's an idea... this would def. work best if you are having them pro. printed so you could do glossy. This is totally rough since I just quickly copy/pasted and changed to B&W and had to cover your text- this obviously would look better if it was started from scratch- but you get the idea... I did black & white on the background and used Jane Austen font for the Gracias. The text also looks good in white this way too, but the general consensus seems to be for the yellow at this point. I also think you could get away with Scriptina too if you're only doing one message on the front. Totally just an idea for you- I have no emotional attachment to it so if you don't like it I won't be offended. You asked for suggestions, and you all know this is my favorite thing to do Also, I still would like the background pic better if Jared wasn't cut off on the side, but again, I don't know if that's just how the pic is, or how you cropped it.
  13. I'm here! lol Just woke up... let me think a minute. I do need a little info: What are you printing them on? Are they a folded card or postcard, and are you home-printing or doing Vistaprint or something? OK, here are my immediate thoughts: 1) I would do the background photo in black & white 2) I'd pick either Thank you or Gracias for the front. Not both. I'd probably put Gracias on the outside, and "Thank You" on the inside 3) I'm not sure I'm in love with Scriptina for this project. It is one of my favorite fonts, but I'm not 100% in love with it here. Let me think about that for a minute. OK, just starting dinner- let me come back to this one... Edited to add: I like the yellow. I'm not sure if I like how Jared is half off the photo, kwim? Is that the way the photo is or did you crop it that way?
  14. OK, no pics in front of Amos- but if you can kick him out you know we'd love to see some new dress pics
  15. I wore two different dresses...you can see them in the slideshows in my sig below. I kinda did it backwards. I bought a dress, but decided it wasn't formal enough so I bought anothe dress. The first dress became my TTD dress. I totally could have worn my original dress though. My TTD dress wasn't wrecked at all. I just rinsed it out in the tub after we got back to the hotel and you'd never know the difference- we rolled around in the sand, rode horses and everything...

Are you the one with the red logo? I may have to copy you...how can I get your logo I mean, I'm not getting married in Cabo, but... Also, which is the best kind of iron on transfer paper out of curiosity? I've found some places online that do one color screen prints + bag for about $4 so that is looking like an option if I'm willing to have a washed out looking photo, which might work for the photo I'm using... Oops....totally missed the part where you said you are doing a photo! Like Jenn said, you'd have to try it out. Yes, I had the red logo- I got it from Aylee designs: Aylee Designs - wedding design and print services
  17. I think it would look lovely for your MOH & bridesmaids to wear different colors. I don't see a problem with that at all. I would definitely go with a simple khaki pant and plain whilte shirt for the guys though, if you're doing different colored dresses. I think if the guys' clothes are too busy it will make your whole wedding party look too busy and detract from what could be a really pretty look with the girls.
  18. Happy birthday Jackie! Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing day!
  19. Wow that's awesome! Thanks so much Tammy for all you do. I'm sure not all the members know how much Tammy has done to singlehandedly get this website up and running, putting so much of her own time and money into making this a great place brides & grooms! Wow, I remember when we had like 30 active members...
  20. Unless you are privately hosting that video somewhere, you aren't going to get the quality online. For instance, Leigh, Juan, Jonathan, etc all have their own websites and their own hosting so they can have large files (ie slideshows) without losing quality. Such a place where you could upload something like that might exist, but it certainly wont be free. Show It software is fun- Juan turned me on to that too. I just didn't want to pay for expensive software when I didn't know how much I'd use it. You can accomplish the same thing in Movie Maker (but it's windows so that doesn't help you much) because it let's you "see" the beat of the music, but you're still doing it manually. OK, I guess this was more of an informative post than a helping post. Sorry I couldn't do better!
