I love this website- I've seen it before. EVERYONE needs to sign this petition and help raise awareness about this issue. It's amazing what goes on in other countries and how sheltered we are. I work with a girl that is from Rwanda and survived the Hutu/Tutsi genocide in 1994. Her stories are heartbreaking- she was in hiding in her home, covering her little sister's mouth with her hand to keep her from screaming while her brother & parents were killed downstairs. She is such a strong girl and it breaks my heart to think of other people like her going through such unthinkable tragedy. The people of these countries need to know they are not forgotten.

Wow Stephanie. Just now reading all this- very heavy stuff. I guess I wish I could say something to make it better, but I know that's not possible. I will hope for the best in this situation. Your mom is an adult and makes her own choices. Unfortunately our parents do that. All you can do is be there to support her after this all plays out. In the meantime, don't let it ruin your wedding. People will be there to focus on you, and anyone who doesn't isn't worth the time it will take to stress about it. Big hugs sweetie.

OK, I just did mine. Wow, that was harder than I thought it would be!

We hired. I didn't want family/friends to spend their time during the wedding filming. I didn't want to spend a lot either, so BVP just did raw footage. It wasn't the greatest quality ever, but it captured the day and that's all I really wanted. I've meant to edit it, but just haven't gotten around to it. We have watched it several times though- just a couple weeks ago actually. Would I do it again? Absolutely. I'm ssoooooo glad I have a video because the day really goes by so fast. I actually wish I would have kept him around for more of the reception.

Honestly, this does not surprise me. They were giving them out at check-in to my guests, and I went down each morning with a handful, gave the front desk staff a list and times my guests would arrive. I literally saw probably 25 bags (not just mine!) at the desk each morning. I'm sure this is a HUGE PITA for the hotel staff. I still don't think $3.50 is that bad... Or, like others have suggested, just hand them our yourselves as you greet your guests.

AWESOME post Glenda... sooo much time is spent cleaning up this forum. I don't think people realize how much "housekeeping" the moderators have to do around here. Organized searching will really help...
