I did WW about a year ago, and did well when I kept up with it. I'm just not doing anything right now and need to get some motivation. That's awesome how well you did in your first month! Seriously Big congrats!

Wow Leigh! I'm so proud of you! That's definitely motivational. You're just doing weight watchers right? I need to join you

I was looking forward to your point of view on this one... Quote: Originally Posted by Christine As a government teacher, I have to say this poll needs to be edited. Many people feel that he has the experience needed to help our country out. He certainly is the only candidate that has military experience. On the Dem side, Obama has very little experience and some people like that, some don't. He is charismatic and is that rags to riches story that makes people feel like they know him. He certainly has a lock on the African-American vote for the most part, however the Clintons have always been very popular among African-American voters. Clinton has a lock on many women, Asian, and Latino voters which if you've ever been on the West Coast you know if you don't have that vote you can't win most of those states (which is why she won CA). Clinton has made huge efforts to make sure people don't remember her as the first lady and people look at her as the Senator from New York and a public servant. She does not want her husbands Impeachment to wreck her campaign. She will have to get a running mate that will tie the Democratic party together. Obama will also have to do the same, they cannot be each other's running mate, they are both to strong of people for that. As for getting the nomination. Hillary at this point has more super delegates, which after yesterday look like the only way anyone is going to win this race. here is an article about super delegates for those of you who don't understand them What role for Democratic 'super-delegates'? - Politics - MSNBC.com The Republican nomination basically looks like its in the bag, unless some crazy freak event happens, but Romney would basically have to win just about every other state in order to get the nomination and Huckabee would have to really win everything else to get it. Okay off my box now, please let me know if you have questions about this please let me know. Above all please vote and vote for who will lead our country through this war, recession, and global warming implications.

It's beautiful Erica- I think it would be a perfect wedding song. I don't know what faith you are (if any) but Jeff & I wanted a Christian song that also sounds like a love song- my dad & bro sang the perfect song. You can listen to it for free on Rhapsody.com here: Free Music: Living For You by Gateway Worship - Rhapsody Online It's called Pure. Just another option for you if you like Christian music

It worked for me... I think he's a Christian singer.

Jeremy Camp...Nothing Else I need Pretty song!

Oh no Christine! You poor thing! Oh how I hate car issues... yuck. Your DH will understand. Hopefully his candidate (whomever he or she is) does well today so he will be in a good mood

Oh honey, I feel your pain. I have issues with other nurses I work with though, not techs- there are some seriously lazy people out there! Anyway- are you in a union or non-union hospital? It seems like in union hospitals people seem to get away with wayyyyy more. I guess it doesn't really matter either way, but there is definitely some way you can take this one "to the top" if she's making threatening statements about patients and impeding your ability to give adequate and appropriate patient care. Do you have occurence reports or a way to write things up? I'd write her up every time she doesn't follow your instruction (you are an RN, she's a tech- your job is to delegate to her so you can better do her job) even if you have to write her up every day! Or, is there a way you can report her extracurricular activities i.e. solitaire? I know some units have policies about "down time" and it's appropriate usage. I do not understand the mentality of some of the support staff we have to work to as Rns. Seriously. Do you have many friends on your unit? If you do, hopefully they will rally around you if this person tries to cause trouble. If not, it's no great loss if they don't like you- just go to work and do your job. I'd definitely report your manager or supervisor or whomever to the higher-ups in your organization if they rat you out to this tech. That's soooo unprofessional. Just be tactful and say what you need to say- you're right! Good luck...boy I'm glad I work in OB

Don't hold your breath on the RSVP thing...lol I'll cross my fingers for ya though! I work at Ingham Regional Medical Center in Lansing : Ingham Regional Medical Center . That's where she's a resident. It's definitely a tough program. Our hospital is obviously a teaching hospital, but relatively small-med sized so we only take 3 OB residents a year. It's definitely a tough program. She and her DH are both residents (he's ortho) so the hardest thing for her is that they literally NEVER see eachother. She'll also work like 20 days or nights in a row without a break. The life of an OB resident is HARD! She's really tough and is handling it well, but I won't lie- we've had some talks where she just cries it all out and tells me she can't handle it, yadayada and I just support her until it gets better. I think she's happy at least 75% of the time though. She was the main reason why I almost quit nursing last summer to pursue med school. She almost had me talked into it. In the end I decided at my stage in life I didn't want to have kids in residency and I didn't want to wait until I was 40 to have kids so I decided against it. But, there's a small piece of me that will always wish I went to med school! Good luck in your schooling. Never know- maybe you'll rotate through my hospital as a student someday I've met lots of PCOM people!

After seeing all of you DIY work, there is no question we will all LOVE the work that you can do for us as well!!! I'm trying to keep my prices as low as possible to make photobooks affordable for everyone. That's how I got started on this, after all! Thanks for your encouraging words Tami! I definitely love having a creative outlet, and this definitely will help me get that out. I tell my parents all the time that I should have gone to school to be a graphic designer instead of a nurse- my parents think I should do both! lol -

Most of what I use for monograms are actually fonts- actually dingbat fonts to be specific. Go to dafont.com and look at all the different dingbats they have. Most I've gotten free, although I have bought a couple... If you're looking for something specific let me know- I might have a font with it already there. I probably looked at thousands of backgrounds. Do a google search for "grunge floral" and you'll get a bunch of stuff. I have a file on my desktop where I always save any clipart or font or anything I can use for sigs, logos, monograms, album art, etc. It's my "inspiration" folder...
