  1. Amy these are definitely some of my favorite invites I've seen- might be my favorite overall! Love the colors, the design, everything is great! Your guests will never believe you made these...
  2. I haven't slept yet- and I worked out last night before I went to work, so I'm weighing in when I get up this afternoon. I totally realized that I've been updating my buddy, and a couple people I've talked to on the phone (thanks for the encouragement Melissa, Alyssa, and Glenda!), but I haven't updated anything on this thread! I joined a gym (finally!) and have a workout partner from work. She's another weekend night RN so we've joined a class that meets Saturday mornings (we'll go after work) and Mon/Wed afternoons. It's a cardio weights class and absolutely kicked my butt last week. I've also gone to the gym 2 other days this week besides my classes, and will go to class before I go to work tonight. I'm officially working out now and it feels great. I was in such good shape before my wedding last year and I'm finally feeling like I could actually get back to that! lol Anyway, I'll update my weight later today, just thought I'd let you girls know what I've been up to...
  3. Welcome to the forum! It was so exciting to see Jessalyn featured in your magazine.
  4. Welcome to the forum. Key West is a great place for a DW. Happy planning!
  5. Welcome to the forum Valerie! Take some time and read through the different areas of this forum to familiarize yourself with some of the resort and decide what's important to you. A travel agent can be very useful for getting a good room block price and negotiating with the resort. I highly recommend Tammy- the host of this forum. She handled all my travel and it was one of the best wedding decisions I made. Meanwhile, don't stress. You have lots of time. Happy planning!
  6. Welcome fellow RN! I'm in L&D. Scotland! Now I'm officially insanely jealous. I'll be looking forward to seeing your details unfold. Congrats on your engagement and welcome to your newest addiction Let us know how we can help!
  7. Welcome Vivian! What a great sister you are
  8. Welcome to the forum Kate!
  9. Gorgeous! I love the pink & orange Looking forward to your review...
  10. Don't worry- you're not alone! Many of us have been through the same thing... I started out Jamaica, then Cancun, and got married in Cabo!
  11. Oh that is horrible! You mean they're 3/4 inch thick? I'd ask for a refund from PaperSource then if they're oversized. That sucks. So what are you going to make now?
  12. omg Rachel- that is freakin hilarious! I love your "how-to's"... I'm laughing my ass off right now.
  13. Just go spend some time walking around one of those craft stores (JoAnn's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby)... look at the scrapbook paper, look at the ribbon, look at the beads the wire, etc. Think of what you want your "theme" to be and then look for things that fit into that theme.
  14. oh gosh, the possibilities are endless! You could do jute or raffia, a bellyband of printed paper, something with your monogram; something beaded- I have some gorgeous flat shells I'm using on invitations for someone right now.
  15. Oh Christa- it's a year already? That's crazy! I remember our crazy planning days- when BDW was young! This has been a big year for us both, lots of changes, lots of experiences. I hope you and DH have a wonderful day together (that it gets better at least!) and enjoy your new house soon. Congratulations sweetie- you made it past the first year!
  16. It never ceases to amaze me how people live and the way they keep their homes. People with pets can be absolutely disgusting! But as gross as her house is, she probably takes good care of her animals- and she's providing them with a comfortable animal-like environment! lol I'm sorry Melissa...hopefully the state of her home doesn't represent the way she cares for her animals (or maybe it does- she plays with the animals so much she doesn't have time to clean?). Not sure that helps, just trying to look on the bright side!
  17. Too funny... I'm usually getting home at 7am, but love to catch those old Saved by the Bell episodes. That used to be my favorite show. I was in love with Zack.

I think there's a special place in hell for people that would steal something at church! I love your attitude- that's kinda how I am about things... a car stereo is pretty small in the grand scheme of things. But still quite upsetting. Now, if my laptop got stolen I might have a major meltdown...I'm glad Mike recovered your hard drive- holycrapolascary!

It's not that it's too much for the mods to keep up with- it's more that we've had a too many irresponsible brides that for one reason or another either lose or destroy the journal and/or starfish, or can't manage to drop it in the mail so the next person gets it in a timely fashion. We're not babysitters! Then, we were dealing with upset people because the starfish didn't get to them in time... Just a word of warning for those of you that want to start passing stuff on. This way nothing gets lost!
  20. That's so scary Morgan! Getting broken into makes you feel so violated. I had a car stolen once. It's so sad how desperate people are... The good news is that you're ok. A cd player is replaceable
