I agree with Tammym's suggestion that maybe you would be allowed in once you're past your wedding date. That would give people something to look forward to and more of a reason to come back- to see something you haven't seen before. I like the TTC forum idea, maybe some sort of cooking/healthy recipes thread, a "funniest or strangest wedding gift" thread, home decor... There's lots of possibilities, but I think it's a great idea!

I'm a nurse and work 12 hour shifts, so I definitely feel your pain. It is really hard for me to exercise on days when I'm working!

Jackie & Kristina- I did hear (and I don't remember when or who told me this) that the Riu doesn't allow outside coordinators. This may have come from Maye Cortinas, a coordinator I have been considering. Just one thing you might want to look in to. Maybe others who are getting married at the Riu could verify this.

Sounds like a good plan Tammy. It's so nice to have someone who's already experienced this!

Welcome and happy planning! You'll find lots of great resources here

Well Kash, you and I must be the non- makeup wearing girls of the group. I was wondering the same thing!

Welcome! I have a friend that got married at the Palladium, and her pictures were beautiful.

Wow- those seem like really good prices! I need to look into this a little more... -
Awesome find Kash! I will definitely try some of this stuff out. I'm trying to be a do-it-yourselfer. We'll see how the STD's turn out and go from there!

Wow Natasha- that is very thorough. Did you contact the concierge directly to get this info from him?

Ooh I really like this feature! Sometimes I feel like I search around for hours looking for something I haven't read yet- hmmm, maybe that means I have too much free time...

So I went to the derm doc today and had my consultation. The plan for me currently is to treat my current acne issues (I swear, since we got engaged my face has gone crazy!) with Retin A, Benzaclin, and possibly oral antibiotics if needed. I am also getting Microderm Abrasion and an Acne Facial every 4 weeks. By the way- had my first microderm abrasion today- if anyone has never had that done, your skin looks and feels so nice afterwards, I thought it was definitely worth the $$. Then, once that is under control, we're going to either do Laser, Obagi, or some combo, we'll see....Thanks for the tip!

Why I picked Dreams over Riu: We were torn between these two AI resorts, but were leaning towards Dreams when we went for our site visit. We stayed and the Riu and LOVED it. We had tons of fun. However, this is a PARTY resort. Lots of loud music , lots of activities, lots of drinking, etc. Not that this is a bad thing if that's what you're in to- again, we had a blast while we were there last month. But, we loved the smaller, more laid-back atmosphere of Dreams when we went for a visit. Because it is a smaller property, there were just less people in general (read:less gawkers for our wedding!) and it just felt more intimate for our families. I think it just depends on what you want. I've been to both places, so if you have any other questions, just ask!

Kash- you are right. I have better perspective now that I've had some sleep. I was having a meltdown this morning! Yup, most pregnant women are crazy! I won't get too worried about it- it just hit me at a sensitive time I guess
-
OK I'm officially NEVER eating AGAIN! Last night one of my patients asked me if I was pregnant! Now, I think that's just rude anyway (she actually was pretty rude in general, come to think of it...) and I'm wearing scrubs, but still- if someone thinks I look pregnant then I know something needs to be done! My coworkers all said she's crazy, but it's still a pretty hard blow hearing someone ask you "when are you due?", especially when they are the one that's pregnant! I seriously had a crazy night at work- I swear all pregnant women are nuts! Anywho, here's the diet tally for my last 24 hrs: Breakfast (8am): egg beaters, one slice whole wheat toast, 4 pieces turkey bacon Snack #1 (1pm): 3 pieces beef jerky, protein shake Lunch (6pm): 2 snack size almond joy bars (glad those are gone now!), diet iced tea Snack #2 (9pm): 2 small oatmeal cookies (they were homemade, couldn't resist) Dinner (or whatever meal night shifters eat at midnight!): 1 grilled tilapia filet, 1/2 apple with 1 tbsp peanut butter, diet rock star energy drink I usually have another snack at 4am, but was too busy so that's all. I didn't work out because I just can't find the motivation to when I'm doing my first night shift in a row- it's trauma enough on my body to switch shifts... Today will be better, but now I'm off to bed, talk to you girlies later this afternoon

I think those would be perfect for TammyM! And I'm kinda thinking they would be really cute a centerpieces, instead of a cake table...Hmm, gonna have to think about that one- awesome find Kash!

While on our site visit, we did the Canopy Costa Azul tour. It was sooo much fun, but very hot (up in the mountains around noon, maybe not such a great time to go!). Anyway, we have a group of adventure lovers going with us so I am going to email them regarding a group rate once we get a little closer. From the hotel we paid $77 per person including transportation to and from the hotel to the site. They also do a tequila tasting at the end- that was fun. Click here for their website. This website has a discounted price of $69 per person, but I don't know much about them. The view was amazing It seems a little scary at first, but we had a blast!

Hey girls~ I thought maybe we could post ideas for activities. Are you setting anything up, or just giving your guests ideas? Those who have already been to Cabo and experienced various companies, etc. could share their contacts or stories, and those who have done research on various places could share what they've found...

Hi Edyta, The website looks great! I just realized that our weddings are going to be 4 days apart and we'll be at Dreams at the same time- how funny! I also just finished getting my website up and running, it still needs some more info added (particularly travel, etc.) but i'm waiting to be sure I have my hotel contract done before I add that stuff in. It is www.jeffandsarahbarefoot.com

Welcome Lauren- you've come to the right place if you want to plan a Cabo wedding. There is so much info on this site to get you started. I'd suggest browsing some of the threads under "accomodations" and check out some of the pictures posted in the vBPicGallery and within the threads to get some idea of what interests you. Another thing I did when I first started looking, was go into expedia or another travel website and just put in some random dates to get the hotels to show up so I could look at the pictures. Good luck!

Here is a link to a list by state of where you can get an apostille certificate on a document: http://travel.state.gov/law/legal/tr...83.html#states (I was reading wrong- it isn't just ANY notary, but specific ones)
