  1. Congratulations to the newest Mrs of the group! We can't wait to hear all about it!
  2. Feel free to make suggestions, I'll look forward to what you find. I am so excited that the two of us will be there at the same time. I'll have to peek at your wedding on Friday- make sure you stop by mine! Have you decided on decor, or is there anything you are bringing with you? I'm not sure what I'm doing yet, and I don't know if you're interested at all, but we might be able to use some of eachother's stuff depending on how big our weddings are. I'm expecting around 30. Just a thought, we'll see if it works out! I have no idea how I'm decorating yet. I just got my Save the dates out this week, so now I can focus on decor and other stuff!
  3. Thanks Edyta. I'm only 5'1" and (we're all friends here!) 25lbs over my ideal body weight- so I need something elongating and slimming! I'm working on the diet (see other threads) but just in case I don't lose it all in time, want something that makes me look slimmer. I think both of these dresses were slimming and flattering but neither of them made me cry or struck me as "the one", even though I really liked them both. If you run across anything, feel free to pass it on!
  4. Great website Sarah! I love the pink:)
  5. Thanks Sarah- you were my inspiration with your beautiful engraved picture frame. My budget wouldn't allow my to do 30 nice engraved frames though, so I had to compromise with the embossing.
  6. Wow- I guess I did get alot of points, because you have a ton! Sorry to pass you up in points- I sent you a drink!
  7. I couldn't figure out how to buy for multiple people at the same time, I sent you a cocktail Christa- enjoy!
  8. lol- not as much as you sweetie! That's why they took me FOREVER! In fact, when I posted this two days ago I was so excited because they were all done. Well...I forgot what a PITA is was going to be to mail them (padded mailers with bubble wrap). I'm still working on that now, hopefully all will be out tomorrow.
  9. Tammy, if you would share your photo album with me I would love to see it. You have my email already. We are thinking of doing an album of our engagement pictures for our parents for Christmas this year.
  10. A question for all you girls working with F&M: Did you have something in mind in terms of decor (if that is what you are using them for...) or did you just contact them and they gave you suggestions? At this point I'm not really sure what I want, I'm just looking for ideas.
  11. I love long veils. I just need to decide on a dress first, then I'll deal with the veil:) I can't wait to see what everyone else's looks like though!

I think it shows up better than mine, but I didn't want to spend the points to redo it!

  14. Sorry- I have a hard time doing the "condensed version" of stuff. I always go overboard! Just go to the vbPlaza Menu- I'm sure you can figure it out!

    Hello!

Welcome! The views are beautiful there. I had my engagement pics taken on the beach below the restaurant and I think they turned out great. If you want to see them, go to www.jeffreyandsarah.shutterfly.com Good luck with the planning!
  16. Jenetta- those pics are awesome! Have you decided what you are going to go with yet? I can't remember, are you using a WC or are you doing it all yourself?
  17. To change your screen name, on the top of your screen click vbPlaza Menu, then vbPlazaMain, then scroll down to "username options". You can change the color, add italics or bold, add a "glow", and all sorts of stuff. I did italics, color, and glow. They cost points, but you have alot so you can pretty much buy anything you want! The only thing I didn't know how to do was choose a color, because you just have to type in the color that you want. But, yesterday Nabumbah posted a thread called "bold, italicized, and underlined text" where she explained how to use these techniques, including color in our posts. She put all the colors in one of her replies, so I just looked until I found the colors I wanted, and typed them in. Be careful because it looks like some show up better than others. To get to that thread, click Best Destination Wedding Forum > BDW General > Forum News & Updates > Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions. Have fun- I can't wait to see what you pick!
  18. When we went to Cancun last year we went to Isla Mujares for the day. We actually got a little bored toward the end of the day, but I think it was because we had been having so much fun at our hotel that we wanted to get back! I suppose a wedding would be different. The wedding that was posted from jcs photo looks absolutely gorgeous, so I guess it just depends on what you are looking for. I will agree with Jackie- Cancun seems to be all party, all the time! Isla Mujares might be a little more laid back atmosphere for you.
  19. Great idea Tammy! That's kinda what we had in mind for our STD's, but then there just got to be too many that we didn't want to spend the $$ for really "nice" picture frames. That's a good idea for the people who actually come to the wedding. You can also find cool real silver frames down there for a decent price if you spend some time to barter. That might be something cool- if it was bought there and had a picture from Cabo in it!
  20. Welcome! Determining your budget would probably be the first place to start! Italy sounds beautiful, but I know that is out of our price range, which is why we chose Cabo over Hawaii. Happy planning!
  21. That was the plan- they could put one of us and one of them, or whatever they want in the frame. Or, if they throw them away, they were cheap so who cares~!

I don't think that's bad- I think it's practical! Now, I just need to make a to do list that I can actually start scratching things off of! Oh yeah...STD's, check!
  23. Thanks, it's not super hard, but there's kinda a specific method to it, and you have to practice and have the right tools, but the effect is nice. If you ever want to try it, let me know and I'll walk you through it.
