  1. Tammy. I would have paid $5000 for your dress- it was AWESOME! What was the model number? I love Carolina Herrera and have looked at some of her dresses (used of course, I don't think my FI would have the same viewpoint as Steve!).
  2. I'm not sure that's anything to be proud of!
  3. OK, when you're in the reply box, look to the right under the smilies. Click on "Quick Upload". It brings up a box, browse for your pic then click "host it". It should paste the file right into your reply. Try again!
  4. I'm kinda in the same boat as you Sarah. I'm having a little trouble actually finding a dress that I like, so I've started looking online (I know, a little scary). Nabumbah recommended some great sites and since I'm an ebay freak I found this pretty cool dressmaker who looks like she makes some pretty good knockoffs. If you search for a specific dress on ebay (I searched for Priscilla of Boston) you might get the link to her ebay store. Here is the Priscilla of Boston gown I love (2902), it's like $5000+ Here is the knockoff ($650)

Welcome Novia! Wow- Africa! There are some beautiful locations there, it was just a little out of our guests' budget to travel that far! Let us know how we can help. Everyone is very helpful on this board... Happy location hunting!
  6. Thanks! You know, I do think I remember hearing about that (just forgot). So does that mean just the US is changing to that new time and Mexico and the rest of the world will still be on the old DST? No wonder this is so confusing!
  7. What do you mean DST changes this year? This sounds like something really big that so far I am missing!
  8. I thought that was a new one! I guess I don't know my smilies as good as I think I do...
  9. Tammy (host) posted a great thread awhile back about recommendations for shots that she gave to her photographer. I think it's great that you're making suggestions of what you want to see in terms of "special" shots, just make sure you are clear about what else you want. For instance, if it's really important for you to have solo pics of your DH, make sure you tell him!
  10. I think this pic of the bride putting her dress on is super cute (if you're going to have your photographer while you're getting ready).

He'll eat healthy if I cook it, but sometimes I'm just too tired! He's also famous for "just eat it, you can be good tomorrow!"
  13. Thanks Edyta, I'm back to work next week so I'll try your suggestions and see how I do. This weekend will be bad because we're off to our cottage with family, but I'm going to try to incorporate healthy snacks and not eat all the junk food with everyone else. I'll keep ya posted.
  14. I voted for the shell cake. It's just too cute!
  15. Thanks Edyta. Lots of that stuff used to work for me, not eating after 7pm, trying to get into the "skinny jeans" etc. My biggest problem is now that I'm working the night shift, I pretty much just eat all the time and sleep very little. I work 3, 12 hour night shifts per 7 day period, but run them all together so I work 9 our of 14 days in a row, then have 7 off. I love the week off, but hate how exhausted i am those other 14 days! So, what would you suggest instead of not eating after 7pm? I can do that on the week that I'm off, but the other days I pretty much have to eat around the clock! I'm now trying to eat every 3-4 hours, but that can get hard at work sometimes. There's nights where I might not get to pee for 8 hours at a time, much less take a break and eat. I'm frustrated...
  16. Hmmm, how did I know MariaElena was already going to have this in a spreadsheet... girl, you are awesome! I think you could organize all your documents/spreadsheets into one place and put them in a book, sell them for lots of $$ and quit your day job! Again, awesome!

    I'm a newbie!

Welcome Charrise! Your wedding date is getting so close. You must be so excited! Good luck and let us know if we can help at all:)
  18. I'm with Tammy- I love the idea that he can't take it off (haha) and it looks cool, but I've already tried to get a tattoo once and totally chickened out!
  19. Thanks Tammy, I just have to figure out what to change now...

    hi

Welcome Jaime! The Palladium resort is gorgeous, I'm sure you will have a beautiful wedding there. Let us know how we can help!
  21. I think I instantly want to say no because of other people in my past who have been less-than trustworthy! However, now that my FI are discussing this issue, I don't have a problem with him going to a strip club. I would waayy rather he do that than hire a private stripper to come to someone's house. It's so nice to be able to trust him though- I know he will have his fun night and be coming home to me after all.
