  1. What an awesome idea! I'll have to try to get the girls at work into something like that. I'm sure it would decrease the amount of really bad food that gets brought in all the time!
  2. There is a Home Depot in Cabo, right on the main highway! We didn't go in, but I know that one bride (I think it was Tara) that got married last summer had her FI make their beach canopy from supplies they bought there.
  3. I have a hard time believing ANY guy would turn down a massage! But, as far as the other stuff, it totally depends on the guy. My FI started going to the most expensive salon in town (the Douglas J Day Spa) and getting $65 haircuts (yes, $65 for a men's haircut- I thought I was going to have a heart attack when he told me!). But, he loves that little splurge for himself, with the head massage and hand massage that go along with the haircut. You never know, you might awaken his inner need to be pampered with the mani/pedi massage stuff...
  4. Thanks for the review! I am so glad everything turned out well despite the confusion early on. I am sure it was your good attitude about things that made them turn out so well. I can't wait to see your pictures! Congratulations
  5. Good luck Raina and congrats ahead of time!
  6. Congratulations Ylan! I am so happy everything turned out well for you. Your sister's pics are absolutely beautiful, you were such a radiant, gorgeous bride! Best wishes...
  7. Thanks for being honest Janet- I think you probably need a little less stress in your life right now. Tammy, count me in and let me know if you need help...
  8. Thanks Janet (and Kash- we can do this!)!! I'm going into a 60 hour work week right now and it's going to be sooo hard to eat good, but I keep telling myself that I only have 6 months to get into a dress, and it also helps that I tell myself I have to report to you and the rest of the girls. I don't know why, but somehow the guilt of screwing up this diet that I'm actually paying for makes me behave so far, we'll see...
  9. Kash, I totally understand what you're going through. I'm the #1 worst person ever for sabotaging myself when on a diet. I think you've already gotten some great advice, the best thing I can say is don't beat yourself up over it, and (preaching to myself here too) don't continue to be bad one day just because you screwed up one meal. Go on with the diet just like you didn't mess up. I used all my flex points up in one meal on Friday night (ate 1/2 pizza and a glass of champagne!) but made myself behave the rest of the weekend- it was soooo hard! But, I lost 3 pounds this first week, today was weigh in, and I only worked out twice last week. I know the first week you usually lose the most, so I'm hoping I will still continue to lose at least something every week. I was kinda hoping I's lose a little more my first week, but I guess I did use every flex point I had. We'll see how week 2 goes. Keep it up Kash- I'm cheering for you!
  10. Yay- somebody winning besides me!!!! Great job girls
  11. That's such a great list Tammy. Many of these things aren't questions you would normally think to ask, some of them I think I need to clarify as well! Thanks
  12. Those are wacky! It is amazing the detail of the winners, I can't believe how much free time some people have...Although, with the amount of time I spend on this forum I bet I could make a pretty kickin' dress too- but that's all I'd be able to do!
  13. Thanks for the advice MariaElena. I'm not sure what we're even going to do with the monograms, but I just wanted to have them!
  14. OMG That looks so awesome! Jeff & I want to go on a honeymoon later, so I'll definitely have to have you help me find something like that! Can't wait to hear all about it!
  15. Congratulations MariaElena! Have a wonderful time, everything will be so beautiful. We can't wait to hear all about it!
  16. lol Jackie- its a tie b/t you, me & Christa!
  17. Here are a few of the monograms I just got done from www.creativemontage.com. I can't actually take credit for this idea, as it was MariaElena who gave me the website, but I just thought they were so cool, and fairly inexpensive. They are $15 for 5 designs, and they will rework 2 for free.
  18. Beautiful cake Natasha. I agree with Crista- it is very nice to see some decisions being made toward the last minute. Sometimes I tend to freak out that stuff needs to be done RIGHT NOW!

I can't remember honestly but it would be SO pretty!) There's a store called MEGA or MegaStore but I'm not sure if it's a supermarket or like a Walmart... it looked like a walmart type and I read elsewhere that it is. There's also a place called SORIANO's that keep popping up in my search online - you may want to ask your WC about this place too. And of course Costco! The MEGA store is right on the main drag. If you take the toll highway 1, shortly after you pay the toll you will approach San Jose Del Cabo, just before you turn north to head up towards Cabo, the store is right in front of you (kinda hard to miss). It's like a SuperWalmart, or Meijer store Tammy. They have household supplies and groceries.
  20. Welcome Ann! Congrats on your engagement. If you are looking for advice on locations, think about: 1. Budget (Mexico is generally cheaper in terms of flights and location , although Cabo is getting increasingly popular and this = higher prices) There are brides on this forum who could probably give advice for just about anywhere, but alot of us are Cabo brides 2. Number of guests, and ability of them to travel 3. The "feel" of your wedding- on the beach, in a fancy church, party or relaxed atmospherel 4. Most importantly- how do you see yourself getting married? What is your dream wedding? Planning a destination wedding takes a lot of work and you will have people both excited that you have chosen this route, and maybe some not so excited! You just have to remember to do what YOU want- this is your day! Good luck and let us know how we can help
  21. Wow Natasha! That place looks unbelievably gorgeous. Are you going right after your wedding? You must be sooooo excited!

Take care girls. Juan Carlos Oh my gosh, I'm so jealous! 8 hours worth of Juan's pictures! I can't wait... Hey Juan, good to see you on the forum again, I saw the newest slideshow on your website, looks great as always!
  23. Good ideas girls- I really like the idea of eating some nuts or something quick and high cal to make my points amount if I'm short. Trust me, I'm sure this won't be a common problem! I couldn't believe when I got home this morning a plugged my foods into the points calculator and was that short! I'm sure I'll make up for it this weekend! No, I won't- I will try to be good..
