Wow, life is so unfair. What a lot for one family to handle at once. It's totally natural for you to be concerned about your wedding. You've got enough room in your emotional bank to be worried about your FFIL, AND your wedding at the same time. It doesn't mean you're selfish- it means you're practical. Yes, this could have some effect on your wedding, and how much remains to be seen. At this point, just keep moving forward, and like Alyssa said, try not to do a lot that is non-refundable until you know more. Since this is a new diagnosis, it's going to take the Drs a couple weeks to get a "game plan" but honestly, you should have a better picture of what kind of prognosis he has soon. I'm so sorry.... hugs

My mom (standing just to the right of me in the pic) wore a beautiful beaded taupe flowy dress. She's not a dress sort of person, but this was comfortable and she loved it. I thought she looked beautiful. My MIL is to the left of Jeff, just after his dad, and she wore a white beaded halter dress. It was super heavy, but it was gorgeous! I was a bridezilla and made everyone wear white & taupe

Just so you know, the Riu isn't really a swimmable beach either- you have to walk about 10 minutes towards downtown to be able to swim. At Dreams, you can walk about 20 minutes to the Hilton to swim. The water in Cabo isn't really blue- it's more blue/gray. If you want really blue water for your pics, Cabo isn't really the place to go. I'm biased because I was a Dreams bride, but I've just heard too many problems with the Riu to be able to recommend it. Although I don't think Dreams would really suit your needs either. What about Dreams Cancun, or Riu Ocho Rios?

Oh I see some fun ones: Placenta- that's just crazy Notorious (she thought it was such a beautiful word. I asked if she knew what it meant. She said no.) Queen Brieazhia Shaneesa Nevaeh (and there were like two more middle names to this one)... Some favorite twin names I've seen recently: Lemonjelo and Oranjelo (prounounced like "Lemon Jello" and "Orange Jello") Kahriece and Jahriece Ralph and Ralphael (yup, that's how they're spelled)

Thanks girls! I worked last night, and actually just woke up- what a fun surprise Jeff is out golfing with one of his friends, then we're going out to dinner. I still can't decide what doesn't make me feel like throwing up yet- I think my favorite restaurant PF Changs is out of the question right now...lol OK, have to brag on my husband a little... he never asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year, so I figured he had something up his sleeve. Well, a few weeks ago, right after we found out we were pregnant I was looking at baby stuff, and told him that the one thing I knew I wanted was a Petunia Picklebottom diaper bag. I have seen so many awesome ones at work (I see a lot of diaper bags in my line of duty!) and knew that was what I wanted. I figured I'd start shopping for one in the fall. He got me one! I have no idea how he remembered that name, since I literally just showed him the website one time and mentioned it in passing. He's a very attentive guy...

I'm back! I just haven't had time to update my website yet...lol

omg Ann, if it's not one thing it's another. I just want you to be home too! Saying prayers that this trip just gets underway and goes well. You deserve some smooth sailing.

omg Ann that is amazing news! I caught up with this thread when I was at the airport, but didn't post anything because it's soo hard on my PSP. I love the pics with Paul reading to her, those brought tears to my eyes, they're so sweet. And I can't believe your nurse knew you from here- that's crazy! What a small world. And your poop story is hilarious. It's amazing how powerful little baby butts are :)lol I am just to thrilled for words that you guys might be getting out soon. That is so incredible. I know I've said it before, but you guys have a tough little girl. Even with her little minor setback while I was gone, she seriously has done amazingly well- everything has gone so well considering the circumstances. I call that the power of positive thinking, good BDW vibes, the big guy upstairs looking out for you- all of the above Ahhh.... so happy....
