Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk and Lhotse Merriam sent each of their wedding guests a Coca-Cola bottle stuffed with an invite created to look like a treasure map... Check out www.islandweddinshops.com or www.invitationinabottle.com (here you can create a custom message that come sin a bottle with sand, shells, a cork and raffia or ribbon, then have it mailed to your guests ($39.99, 20-bottle minimun). They also offer do-it-yourself kits ($23.99, 19 bottle minimum) Edyta, these are awesome, are you thinking about doing something like this?

But, they kept the name the same- so this poor cat was named Little Girl all its 14 year life! It was a huge fat orange male cat called little girl and he had quite an attitude- I blame it on my parents because they gave him a complex!

Here are some things I found: (This from http://www.theknot.com/ch_article.ht...3247&x=20&y=14) Invitation Wording: Divorced parents are hosting jointly (formal) Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Miller & Ms. Rachel M. Wood request the honor of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Karen Percy Miller to Michael Francis Jacobson Saturday, the seventeenth of May two thousand and eight at half past four in the afternoon or Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Miller & Ms. Rachel M. Wood request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their daughter Karen Percy Miller to Michael Francis Jacobson Saturday, the seventeenth of May two thousand and eight at half past four in the afternoon Note: A good rule of thumb is to list whomever is paying for the majority of the wedding, first. "request the honor of your presence" is traditionally only used if the ceremony is taking place in a house of worship. Invitation Wording: Divorced parents are hosting jointly (casual) Charles and Linda Miller with Rachel M. Wood invite you to the wedding of their daughter Karen Percy Miller to Michael Francis Jacobson Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 4:30 in the afternoon or Charles and Linda Miller with Rachel M. I thought they were very tasteful and sexy. I was going to draw the line at the full frontal nudity pose, but decided maybe just one wouldn't hurt... lol- as Borat would say- NOT! -
Thanks Natasha, they have beautiful work. I'd also love whatever prices or info you have on them! Thanks

I think also that alot of it depends on the overall budget of your wedding. If you're having 10 people and a cake reception and your budget is $4k, then spending a ton on photography probably seems out of the question (I STILL would blow my whole budget on the photographer, flowers be damned!), BUT, if your budget is $15-20k and you're having a fairly large group, there is certainly some place where you can trim the budget in other areas. Also, guys totally don't understand most of this wedding stuff. My FI freaked out when I told him how much we were spending just on engagement photos, much less the 5 hours for the wedding with Juan. I told him that I wasn't going to budge on the issue, that it was important to me and that was pretty muth the end of it. Considering the fact that I'm the one working 20 hours of overtime a week to pay for everything, I figured I could get my way!

Welcome! We have several RM/cancun brides on the board now. Our RM/Cancun moderator Jackie (Ryjaxs19) has tons of info posted in the Cancun/RM section. I know there are a couple girls who have been looking at the El Dorado. Thanks for joining us, can't wait to hear all about your plans!

Welcome Tara! Good luck with the rest of your planning

The responses I've gotten from some of my friends have cracked me up thought... - I did take mine... oh no, you want them back?!? - Eww, no, they were smelly. - No, but I should have! I was too enibreated to think about it. Ok, at least it is somewhat amusing.... I can't believe the nerve of some people sometimes. Why would you steal starfish from a bride? That's just tacky! I've wondered if my guests would want them or not- I had heard that they smell funny, hmm...have to think about that one.

Gown dilemma
Sarah replied to JENGONDA9's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Thanks for posting the link to your other dress. NOW I remember your dress- I knew it was something really unusual, I just couldn't quite picture it. I don't know, it's a hard choice, they're both really pretty! I guess, not to be bold, but are we talking several hundreds of $$ or several thousands for your new one? I have no idea what Pronovias' cost, I've never looked at them. -

I actually had something very similar in my mind when thinking about my RD dress. -
