If in doubt, take all your beach pics after the wedding!

  3. I think that hiring Juan for more time is always a great solution!
  4. Yeah, these are so random sometimes! One of the pics I uploaded of Jeff gave like 5 girls as matches...lol

Where did you get them?
  6. Yay Jilly! Glad to have you join us, see you Monday:)
  7. I am making an album right now of my engagement pics to give the parents for Christmas. Next year, I will make a complete album, search for "sharedink" to see some ideas.
  8. That dress is gorgeous Kristi- where did you find it?
  9. OK, here's mine- I think that Dakota Fanning being the most relevant result is hilarious! Here's another one:
  10. Karla, I love the idea of the market bags- can't wait to hear what you find out!
  11. Welcome to the forum Melissa. I also am not familiar with that venue or WC, but there are so many beautiful places in Cabo I'm sure it will be great! Let us know how we can help
  12. Welcome Shannon- just take it one thing at a time. Decide on a venue, then start weeding through all the info on here piece by piece. The Search function is a lifesaver!
  13. I don't know- pretty much every beach we went to with El Arco in the background had lots of people by it. What about Sunset Da Mona Lisa? Well, I guess that's not being married on the beach. Hmmm...at the Riu you could get married on the beach with the rocks in the background, probably at any of those hotels on Medano beach- but, you will have people. I don't think there's any way around that unless you can find some sort of private villa.
  14. Wow Tammy, this sounds like an exact repeat of what I was going through. Cain totally should have gone with you because this is what finally shut Jeff up about stuff he did not understand! Once he got there, saw Dreams and knew that was what I wanted he was totally fine with it. Is Cain just offering you his opinion because you have asked for it? That was one thing Jeff said was really frustrating him. I would ask his opinion, then get mad at him when it wasn't the same as mine. Does Cain really have that strong of an opinion about the location? If he does, try to compromise- maybe you could still get married at the Sheraton, but go to the public beach for some more pics. Go with your gut and get married at the place you feel is right for you two. Don't get frustrated because he's throwing out other options- you went to Cabo, you loved the Sheraton- do it there.
  15. Great job girls! I'm not on any other forums or I would be inviting people. Heck, I hardly have enough time to be on this one and still have a normal life!
  16. OK girls- this was the last bad day to round out my bad week. I'm such an emotional eater! I did pretty good over the weekend, but then went to the funeral today and came home and ate Arby's and then White Castle- arrrghh! Anyway- back to being good tomorrow, I promise. Things will be better now... Hey Nicole- it's awesome to have you join us- can't wait to hear how it goes for you, when I stick with it, I do great- look at Kash! Kash- you are so going to win that jackpot- woohoo $500! Can't wait to hear about the victory
  17. Hi Heather! Welcome to the forum- you will find all the info you need and more:) I also am using Juan Carlos Tapia as my photographer, check out his website at Juan Carlos Tapia Photography if you haven't already. I'm not sure what your budget is, but I am also a bride on a budget and decided that pictures were something I was willing to splurge on. After all, when the wedding is over, the pictures are all you have left to remember the day! Here are my engagement pics Juan took while we were in Cabo on our site visit: http://www.jeffreyandsarah.shutterfly.com/action/ Here are two other weddings Juan has done for brides on this forum: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/w...8ActWbdq0bt3Ew http://www.reasbeckspictures.shutterfly.com/action/ There are other great photographers in the Cabo area- but I just love Juan's work and he is sooo fun to work with!
  18. That looks like such a fun wedding- thanks for sharing! I love knot bios:)

Kristin I think this may be a little difficult to get across on the invitations, but if you have a website or an insert in the invitations you could get this across. On my website, I said "Our goal is to have all of our guests in one location so we can enjoy eachother's company during the days leading up to and after the wedding. Feel free to make a vacation out of our wedding and stay for as little or long as you want!" I also said "We have found the all-inclusive route to be very economical while vacationing. We would love all of our guests to stay at Dreams with us, but the resort is booked to capacity all year round and will probably be full by December 1st for our wedding in May. Please reserve your room as soon as possible! If you are unable to get a room at Dreams, or would prefer to stay at another property, please contact us or our travel agent and we will assist you in making those arrangements." I was hoping this would create a little sense of urgency that they needed to book their rooms sooner rather than later. So far, it hasn't helped, but as many other brides have reminded me, I probably won't get people booking rooms until the last possible second.

    RIU Cabo

We stayed there in September during our site visit and had a blast!
  22. I first met Jeff in 1992 because we had mutual friends. We always managed to hang around in the same group of people and he dated 3 of my really good friends through high school and college. Then I got married and he was in a serious relationship for about 5 years and we kinda went our separate ways. I ended up divorced and he broke up with his girlfriend, so we started hanging out together as friends. That was in December 2004... fast forward a year and a half and we are now still best friends, but also soulmates. I guess we both needed to go through all our crappy relationships to find out what we really wanted. He proposed on Memorial Day this year. So, to answer your question- we've been together 2 years, but have known eachother for so long, it just feels like we've been together forever!
  23. Oh my gosh Janet- you have soo many fun pictures. Let's see, where do I start...I love the surfboard pic, the "running of the bridesmaids", the bouquets thrown in the air, the gm jumping, your silly husband in someone's arms, the groomsmen fanning you, I could go on and on- they are so FUN! And, you look breathtaking- you are such a pretty girl:) Awesome pics, I'm gonna have to steal some ideas...

I guess we all have different opinions! I liked #3 the best, although I do like the calendar too.
  25. I love those pocketfold invitations Christa. I know I have seen them on here somewhere before, and wondered what that website was. Thanks for posting it! After how long it too me to make my STD's, I think I might do something like this for invites!
