Wow- that's terrible that Dreams treated you that way- I'm sure that will not help them earn business (word travels fast on this forum and the Knot!). Did you decide on a resort? It sounds like the Riu properties were nice. I also have found the musty smell to be prevalent in Mexico, some places worse than others...

Thanks Edyta, I like the ending idea..I'll have to think of which pic to use. I like the footprints idea. hehe- that's ok, most of the time I feel like screaming! The problem with Jeff is that he says he doesn't care, but he really does. He waits until I decide on something, then questions my decision- drives me CRAZY! So I weighed in today- hadn't weighed myself since Friday, and hadn't "officially" weighed in for WW for a couple weeks since I'd been so bad. I've lost 5 pounds! Yay I'm almost down to weight territory I haven't seen in 2 years!

Hang in there Edyta! Just get through your class- you have plenty of time to finish your wedding after Dec. 9th- think of how good it will feel to get that off your mind! I feel the same way about music- not sure what I want to do either...hmm...something else to bug Jeff about some more! Start bugging Jeff and ask him what he would like to do about the ceremony part... also let me know what Mariana replies, i wonder if she will be using the cheaper florist now that Tammy (host) gave her I'm just in my last semester at school will be done on Dec 9 if I pass my hardest class; corporate finance (keep ur fingers crossed for me) I'm scared cause I just can't seem too pass this class and it's holding me back from graduating...AHHHHHH!!!!!!!! so after that is done I will be on here lots more planning

Hey Edyta- I just emailed Mariana a huge list of questions about decor and food and stuff- I'll let you know what she says. We kinda got lost on our planning we were working on together with the holidays and stuff. Anything new? I STILL haven't decided on religious or legal ceremony, I wish I could make up my mind! I'll have to start bugging Jeff about it more...

I stayed at the Riu palace in September- it is a beautiful property! Good luck with your planning, let us know how we can help!

Don't get me wrong, they are super sexy and I really like them...but I am just thinking of the recepient? I need to embark on my wedding photobook making....you are going to inspire me to get started! Janet, I sent you an invite. We're thinking we might just use those pics in our book, and not the parents. I asked Jeff what he thought and he said "I think our parents would like to see us enjoying each other!". Hmmm....not sure about that once you put it that way! lol

Hey girls! I am finalizing my SharedInk Photobook of the engagement pics taken by Juan Carlos Tapia during our site visit. We are going to give these photo albums to our parents for Christmas. I have uploaded my pics to SharedInk and am getting ready to print, but I would like to get your opinions. I'm looking for feedback regarding pages, picture position, coloring, etc. Please be brutally honest- I reserve the right to accept or reject all suggestions! To see my album at SharedInk, please PM me your email address and I'll send you an invitation. Thanks so much! Here are some sample pages:

Cool! Did you have fun at your game? I hate that crappy hungover feeling when you eat terrible! I sabotaged myself a couple weeks ago and did some emotional eating after a few bad days at work that almost set me back to where i started. But, this week I did really well and got myself back on track. I didn't gain any weight over Thanksgiving!!! Woohoo!!! I just chose very carefully what was important for me to eat and what wasn't (read: I ate the pumpkin pie and not the stuffing). So, next Monday is weigh-in again and my goal is to reach my 5lb mark then...we'll see- I'm such a bad dieter and I spent about 5 days ignoring my points and have spent 2 1/2 weeks making up for it!

Reception party back home?
Sarah replied to TOESNTHESND's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We are really debating that right now. My FI's family and friends really want us to do something, my family is soo into whatever I want- they're not very demanding. I just don't know if I want to- after all, part of the reason we went to Cabo was to save $$ (having an AHR would defeat that purpose!) and "keep it small" (which would be impossible to do here). Also, I think by the time I get done planning the Cabo festivities I will not be in any kind of frame of mind to plan something else for a while! -
Aww, that is so sweet! Sarah! Are you from LA originally- how did you choose that destination? Can't wait to hear your plans:)

Thanks for posting this Ann. I'd been meaning to do a search for one of these! -
lol Sarah. I buy Lottery tix every day and I only win less than 1/2 the time so I guess it's totally just luck:) If only I could be so lucky in real life!

It had a really bad ticking sounds, the muffler was hitting the ground and scraping it and the inside door step pad on the passenger side kept falling off. Seriously I thought the car was going to fall apart or stall out at any given moment." This is the quote from MariaElena's site visit: "Rental Car We used Payless thanks to Sarah’s (AQHARIDER) tip. We got a VW Jetta for 10 days for $117 with tax. I’m so glad we took Sarah’s advice. Someone from Payless met us outside the airport and took us to their office. There was no hassle. We were not forced to buy the extra insurance. There were no tricks. Everyone else that used Thrifty, Hertz, Europecar, etc. and thought they were getting a better deal due to online and/or coupon discounts were unhappy because they got crappier cars and/or were forced to buy the extra insurance. Most people ended up with Jettas which we referred to as the “Jetta Express†when were following each other." I know I have their brochure somewhere, I just have to look for it in the mountain of paperwork in my office. I just worked 96 hours in the last 10 days, and am going out with my sweetie tonight for the first time in 2 weeks (yay!). Give me a day or two, if you haven't heard back- remind me because I just woke up and might not remember this. Wow I can ramble... Anyhow, we had made reservations with another company and weren't happy, so we marched ourselves over to the Payless place and they gave us a car on the spot. I also have tried reserving a car online and it gives an outrageous quote, howevere, try booking it for, say, next week and it will give you a very cheap price. I plan to just wait until we get a little closer, then call them and ask for the same deal I got in September (very cheap compact car for like $95 for the week- that's all, no insurance, no nothing).

You can get the actual flip flops in differnt colors (using same stones) so I will buy black to take on our honeymoon. I know I won't wear them much only after the ceremony and honeymoon but I couldn't pass them up! I did not show Matt as I want to surprise him. He will think I am silly but he will eat it up...that it says Mrs. Snider. I think they will make a great prop for a picture! Thanks Kristi! I have to have these! -

I LOVE Lumapix photofusion- it was well worth the money to me. I've also used it to make other graphic items since it allows you to layer, etc. It' what I used to make the monograms for my luminarias. Hopefully I'll have my pics ready to upload this weekend Tammy- if I get Fri or Sat off, we'll see.
