Congratulations on your engagement! I'm a Cabo bride, so not familiar with Caribbean locations, but I'm sure you'll find some help on here! Welcome to the forum!

Choosing a DW dress…
Sarah replied to destinationbride07's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I originally bought a "beachy" dress, but then felt like it wasn't fancy enough so I went back and bought a more formal dress. Lesson: buy what you really want or else you won't be happy and you'll end up with 2 dresses like me! -
lol Edyta & Tammy, you never know 70 cents is a start! By the way Tammy M- love the new sig pic, you two look so cute!

I have to be at work both of those nights, so I won't be able to do it if it's after 7pm est. But that's ok- I know you won't be able to get everyone on here at the same time, but it would be cool if most of us were!

Make your own Luminarias!

Those looked great Karla! Thanks for sharing your template- I think that is the hardest part of those -
Kate, are there any recipes for good munchy snacks? That's my weakness...

They offer all the same flavors except tres leches so we're going to do an assortment of Devil's Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon and Mocha - yum! Anyway noqw I have to figure out how many to order. Should I order one per person or two per person? I know not everyone will eat them but it would be awful for people not to get enough either! That's great Kash! I would only do 1 per person. Some people might not even eat one, and if there are leftovers, those who want 2 can go get an extra. Did you decide on a design?

I still haven't re-started exercising - I'm not sure why... I am going to do it! Maybe I'll start on Dec. 1st with Tammy! I was just thinking today how I never would have joined WW if it wasn't for everyone here (especially rebecca who's our WW vet!) and I would still be too sad to try on dresses. Now I have an even bigger problem - I'm in love with a super expensive dress hee hee hee... I prefer the new problem to the old one! I think that is a MUCH better problem Kash! Congratulations on your success! And I agree, I never would have done this without you girls. Thanks for the encouragement

I have nowhere near that many people, but I thought other Dreams girls who have more guests would be curious! Thanks!

I'm not the most computer savvy one in the group, that's for sure! -

My favorite snacks: Weight Watchers Toffee Ice Cream Bars: 2 points (unbelievable!) Orville Redenbacher Smart Pop Mini Bags: 2 points (my favorite night time snack) Weight Watchers Yogurt: 1 point South Beach Breakfast Wraps: 4 points Sugar Free Jello: 0 points Sugar Free Jello Pudding: 1 point I'm always in a hurry and very easily can pack premade Weight Watchers, Lean Cuisine, and the above mentioned snacks to get me through the day! I usually save all my flexpoints for one bad meal a week, so I feel like I still can have my pizza and champagne and not be guilty! Keep it up- we're all in this together!

Tammy, Jenetta, and Nicole would know for sure!

It's great to have you officially join us as a Dreams bride! You will love it there- we're also planning another site visit for the winter. It will all come together for you once you can see it in person. I think the Oceana Terrace might work well for you, it's the smaller terrace next to the pool. Or, if you want more room and want to be closer to the ocean, the Cascade terrace is nice too!

And with the tiki torches, white lights, chinese lanterns and the luminaries around the pool, my reception was well lit! Funny you mentioning about your FI hating his picture taken, so does my husband!!! He ALWAYS blinks when there is a flash involved. Oh, but first he has to say "I'm gonna blink" just before the photo. WELL OF COURSE you are going to blink if you say it everytime just before the photo is snapped! SO ANNOYING! I'm curious to see how many photos Juan tricked him into NOT blinking in. Jeff is such a bad blinker too! When Juan was taking our engagement pics, he kept commenting on how many good pics Jeff was ruining by blinking! Poor guy...

Jackie, I also voted for #2, for similar reasons as already stated. I would want my parents there and my best friend- besides that, who cares. Also, you can always take a honeymoon later and that means two trips! Woohoo! That totally is unfair about the vacation. I don't understand how the new owner thinks that is acceptable- is it going to change any time soon? Is this just something temporary? It's awful! -
Cool pics Karla- that looks like it was alot of fun!

Welcome Alison! This site will save your sanity! Have you picked a location yet? There are alot of Cabo brides on here, so I'm sure we can point you in the right direction if you have questions!

Thanks! Fortunately I'm not a big turkey and stuffing person, so Thanksgiving really isn't that hard for me. It's the pizza the rest of the year that gets me!

Nope Natalie- that's not rambling, that's organized sharing! It's awesome to see it all written out that way- I need to do that too, although I think you have solidified WAY more details than I have at this point!
