The book is going to print today, so I thought I'd let you know what changes I made. I updated the pages with very small borders to give them a larger border (I think it was page 6 & 9, or something like that). I actually deleted the original page 6- it wasn't a fave and I needed to delete or add a page to make the book flow right. I changed the order around a little and put the "green" gardeny photos in the middle with a nice transition so they weren't stuck in the back. I added some wording to the first and last pages, and added one complete blank page (front and back) to both the front and back of the book. The wording will only be on our book, not our parents' as the quotes are both very meaningful to us and might be lost on our parents. We also elected to keep all the pictures in there (even the kissing ones) because we knew that our parents all actually liked all the photos- I can even remember my dad commenting on how pretty the one where we are on the rocks is. I was debating it, but Jeff absolutely didn't want it taken out. They've already seen them many times and continuously tell us how much they love them and want copies to show their friends. We decided that there was just so much emotion in those photos that we wanted them to stay. Just had to explain why we kept them... Thank you all for your suggestions- there were some great ideas out there! If anyone is interested, I'll post a sharedink "how-to" thread one of these days and I'm sure Tammy can add to it with what we have learned now that we each have a book under our belt! I am sooo excited to see how they turn out! Here are the front and back pages that will be in my book: The First Page: The Last Page:

Your Saving $$/Budget tips
Sarah replied to TammyWright's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
We did reduce our budget for Christmas this year too. Instead of buying expensive gifts for eachother, we're getting a digital camera together- it will also be useful in Cabo! -
Thanks for the thorough review! It's great to hear how the different places responded to your request for outside cake & wine. I hope the rest of your trip went well!

Your Saving $$/Budget tips
Sarah replied to TammyWright's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I think I live rather frugally to start with, so since I don't have a lot of budget trimming to do I'm just working all the overtime I can! This also helps me save more money- since I'm at work, I don't have time to go out or spend $$. And, when I'm not at work, I'm on here learning how to arrange this wedding myself (saving myself a coordinator fee!). -
LOL - I know it's bad to be addicted to the scale. I'm doing much better though! I only weight myself like twice a week now instead of twice a day!

Jackie, that is a beautiful poem. It brought tears to my eyes! I think putting it in the program is a great idea.

I just was working on my sharedink photobook, so I just got done looking at my photos from Juan- to come over and see this. Wow- Juan made me look really good, but this girl- whew! I'm jealous too!

Juan, I must say I love all of your work, but I truly think you have outdone yourself this time! These photos are breathtakin. What beautiful shots of this gorgeous couple! I love the ice cream and bikes idea- and the shots around SJC are so pretty. I love watching your photography develop and I'm so excited for your increased popularity. I'm so glad that I have you booked for our wedding- now we just have to come up with something creative like this for our day after photos

Well, I'm joining up late, Tammy- darn sleeping sooo gets in the way of timely posting! Anyway, my thoughts: * Fondant- makes a beautiful cake, tastes not so great! * Frame on cake- while a very cute idea, I also agree with Tammy host that the picture frames will be very sticky and the cakes will get in the way during dinner. I think having individual cakes for each guest is such an unexpected gesture that it should be its own special presentation- more WOW factor that way! I really like the frames you've picked though, so I would definitely include them on the tables. * Chocolate with chocolate- I love the idea of the cakes sitting in brown sugar to look like sand. I did a quick search on the knot and here are some that i came up with: This first one is my favorite, I love the white flower on the top of the cake! I know these are small pics, but it just kinda gives you some ideas:

I think someone has cursed me.. :-) Hey Tammy- let's plan a weekend, rent a moving van and get her out of your hair!! Woohoo! -
lol- sorry! I really liked my oncology rotation, in fact I may look into that once I get tired of delivering babies:) I followed an NP for a day in oncology as well and that was a great experience. You really get to bond with your patients and give of yourself during a time when a person needs it the most. Well, I hope that the wedding keeps you sane- the last semester is soooo hard to get through because you're almost done and just sick to death! I'm sure you totally are there right now, but hang in there- soon you'll be done and can enjoy having an awesome work schedule and a real paycheck! It was great to meet you- let me know if there's anything I can help with. I just got home from work, so it's night time for me. See you around!

What unit do you work on? I'm in Labor & Delivery. What about you- do you have a job lined up yet, or know where you want to go?

Off topic- I just was on your website and noticed that you're finishing up with nursing school. I just graduated in '05, so I feel your pain. Are you all done next semester? Please don't tell me you're planning this wedding and trying to study for the NCLEX at the same time?!

I tend to lean more toward the savory snacks, although if you've got something sweet that's not to be missed, I'm all for it!

It's great to see another PV bride- yay Ann & Amy! We can't wait to hear all your details:)

They only offer silver and gold foil for the cups so I think I might buy them and ship them to Emeline... our colors are red, orange, pink and yellow. But the truth is I love the way they've been done in that picture - would it be weird for me to have brown and pink cake? I'll have to go back to the website tammy posted and see what other colors they have... You can always do whatever you want, but I think if your colors are those vibrant reds, oranges and pinks taht the brown and pink cake is a little muted.

Aww, what a cute story. I totally remember when Jeff asked me- I was also thinking, what the heck is wrong with him! lol I think it's so cute how perfect they have to make it, when all we really want is just the proposal!
