  1. My arms hurt, my butt hurts, my thigs hurt, my calves hurt, I can't even touch my abs much less laugh or cough. It takes me three times as long to walk up or down the stairs at my house! I'm not a super experienced body builder or pay much attention to having perfect posture, but if my muscles are this sore I know I've worked them. I just don't get good results from workouts that say they are doing something, but yet you're never sore. When I'm sore, I know I will see results. One thing with Cindy is that you can totally tell she's just trying to look cute some (or most!) of the time- you'll see what I mean if you get it. However, if you do what she's doing but remember some basic body mechanics you'll be fine.
  2. Just be careful! hehe Honestly, I really like it so far- we'll see how it goes over the next few days. I really don't think I'll be able to do it for a couple days though.
  3. hehe-oops it is Shape your Body. I think it's the pain I'm in today that's not letting me think clearly!
  4. We got the cheap package free because we are staying for a week. However, we are adding on stuff like a welcome dinner, more flowers, probably fireworks, etc.

I remember that feeling....believe me, you'll miss having the wedding to look forward to! ROFL- I totally know what you mean! One time, he told us to go run and then he made us do it all over again- he told us that he wanted us to run like no one was watching. So we did, and he laughed because he said it looked like we were running for our lives! Isn't he fun?

Now in theory this sounds right, but during that time of the month, I NEED chocolate. Other times I will eat those vegs... There is something sick and wrong with having to eat vegetables when your body craves chocolate. I think my body is such a well-oiled machine that it wouldn't be deceived by the veggies- it would still know it wants chocolate! lol On another note, I asked a skinny coworkers whose body I envy what her weightloss and exercise routine is. She says 2 years ago she was in the same boat I am (20 lbs overweight) and with an event to lose weight for (wedding). She used the Cindy Crawford Total Body Workout DVD and counted calories (basically what I'm doing with WW). She lost the weight and has kept it off by continuing to watch her cals and doing the workout twice a week. So, I ordered the Cindy Crawford workout on Amazon.com for like $12 including shipping and got it last week. The only equipment you need is a chair for balance and hand weights of your choice (warning- I started with 6lb weights since I was feeling pretty strong from BFL- BIG mistake- start lower!) I procrastinated over the weekend and did it for the first time yesterday. I have to say that it seemed like a super easy workout (even though you literally do like 200+ arm raises, over 300 crunches, trust me- you don't realize you're doing that much!) andit goes by so fast, but I can honestly say I have never been so sore...from any workout...ever. I just got up and I can hardly move- don't know how I'm going to work 12 hours tonight! So, if you want something that seems low-impact but will totally kick your a$$, get Cindy's DVD- it's old, like 1990s, but it's great. I'll let you know how it goes over the next couple weeks, if i can ever walk again!

On another note I don't know what's happenmed to me this week - I have just totally gone off the wagon for no reason. I wonder if I have PMS or something. The past few days I have just not been able to stop eating! It's awful - I feel terrible! Anyway I can't do anythign about it except start anew tomorrow... crap. I always do this - lose some weight, feel great and then put it right back on. It's like I'm self-sabotaging unconsciously or something. yuck! I just ate two cookies before I wrote this. I need to somehow start over this week! hehe Kash- I'm the same way, I think this is common. I do great, lose a couple pounds, then celebrate and eat and gain it all back! Hang in there, you'll do it less and less as you start to lose more (at least i am anyway). You've got time, so don't beat yourself up about it- just forget about yesterday like it didn't happen and start over today! I don't know what my problem is! Congrats Jilly on your weight loss this week! It's best to lose the weight a little at a time anyway- stick with it! I've lost 8 pounds in two months- that's only like a pound a week- but it adds up fast!
  8. Great resources Ann & Kash- it's great to see these all compiled in one place- they are pretty spread around!

Then again, a different concierge would be really great and went out of her way, and some other front desk people were lovely to us.... so it was spotty service. That would be my only concern, but not enough to discourage anybody from going there. Good to know- however this seems to be a trend in Cabo, I wonder why? Thanks for the recommendation though- the PBR was actually one of the first places we researched in Cabo, and considered having our wedding there until we decided to go the AI route.
  10. Thanks for posting those Karla- they look beautiful. I've had a couple people mention to me that they'd like to stay somewhere besides AI- perhaps I will recommend the PBR.
  11. Then can't you just have a Christmas party every day for the next two months? Perhaps enlist a couple family members to come over each night and exchange gifts- if it would keep her in line. hehe

That means you girls will all get your pics before me- I think I will die of impatience!
  13. Great review Meahgan! I'm also anxious to hear how important you thought the mariachi band was- I've been really debating them for the cocktail hour and am interested to hear what your guests thought. How many people were in the mariachi group and did you request certain songs, or did they just do their thing... Glad everything turned out as well as it did! Congratulations!

I've never seen anyone be so disrespected by a house GUEST- and that's what she is- a GUEST! I just can't imagine being so terrible to someone when I've inconvenienved them so much. I'm still shocked that a women in her 50's is acting so childish. I keep thinking there has to be more to this, like the "loosing her son" thing. Maybe that's a part of it or maybe she's use to controling peoples lives and I won't allow her to come into our home and take over... Maybe she feels she can mother me like she does her son, and with that go through all our stuff. But she needs to learn that's not normal and any normal person would have a problem with it. Shoot she's lucky I even said OK for her to move in, how many people would let their FMIL move in after they have only been in there first home for about 6 months? Ok maybe I'm still a little pissed.. :-) Just a little.. I just don't think it's a good situation for 2 women to live together in the same house- especially if it's one woman's "territory" (yours) and especially if the other woman is a beyotch (sorry, Tammy that came flying out before I could stop it). So, the obvious solution to me is that it's time for her to go... If only we'd be so lucky...
  15. Yay Rebecca! They are finally here! The long awaited Juan pictures did not disappoint. You look beautiful and again, everything pulled together so nicely, congrats!
  16. Natasha- WOW! Everything looked so nice, thanks for sharing so many of your pictures with us, they are wonderful! I love all the candid pictures of your guests, everyone looks so happy. You and your husband look radiant on the beach- you can truly see the love and happiness shared between you on that day. Your reception looks beautiful- I love that you had firedancers and fireworks, my FI and I have been debating those, now I think we should do both. Who were the couple in black leading your group in dance? That looks like tons of fun! I'm sure you'll answer all that in your review...I'll wait! Congratulations Natasha- everything looked perfect!
  17. Wow Jenetta, that's great! It really helps to kick start a diet with some significant changes. Great job!
  18. That's a cute story Rebecca! How long had he been hanging on to the ring before he finally proposed? Jeff bought my band in December, searched for the perfect diamond until March, got the whole ring in his possession the end of March and waited until May 29th to propose! The whole time I thought he never was going to do it...he had it hidden in the fireplace (good thing it was warm out!).

    first post!

Kellie! I only started planning for my May wedding about 3 months ago- I wish I had more than a year- good for you!

He added up how much $ we could save and he said he will make a pact that everytime he wants to drink starbucks he will make coffee at home and put $4.00 in a jar. I know it will be hard for him but you guys inspired him thanks!! We are also going to limit eating out to once a week. Depending on what he's drinking, he might lose some weight too (I suppose this is a good thing only if he needs to lose weight)! Since most people seem to want to lose a few pounds before the wedding cutting down on the Starbucks would probably help! Added bonus

  23. The beauty of a DW is that you can do whatever you want. Remember that your location is gorgeous in and of itself, and therefore little or no embellishment is really necessary. That being said, we have seen brides do the whole spectrum of decor. There have been girls that shipped tons of stuff, had huge amounts of favors, stuff for OOT bags, candle holders, place holders, etc. And we have had others that did minimal decor, or worked with what was available down there. Janet1111's wedding was beautiful and she used limes for centerpieces which she purchased down there, as well as arranged her own flowers which she bought wholesale from the Flower Cart, a local Cabo vendor. Many of the wedding coordinators have a ton of resources at their disposal, so you might find they can help you get what you want for pretty much how much it would cost you to buy it and transport it down there. Do you plan to have a WC? I am not, and so am at the mercy of my own creativity and what Dreams has on hand! However, if you look at the pics from Tammy (Host) who had her wedding at Dreams, she had minimal decor and it was gorgeous- I think that's the look I'll end up going for, understated elegance!
