I'm in a similar situation- all that "happy weight" I guess! It's a great group of girls here to help keep eachother on goal! lol, well I think I've violated every DW norm (is there such a thing?) with my veil. It's beaded and cathedral length and goes awesome with my dress so I couldn't pass it up. I'm kinda wishing I hadn't bought it now, because I think I'd rather just do flowers, but I love my veil. I haven't put it on since I bought my dress, but I'm trying to figure out how I can wear the veil for the ceremony and some pictures, then take it off and put flowers in for the reception. And, what kind of hairdo for all this? No clue... Here's the veil...you don' think it overpowers my dress do you?

Wow Ali! Thanks for sharing- I can't wait to see the rest. Everything looks so beautiful there. Ann, you must be soooooo excited!

Glenda, I would just tell all the girls who were previously planning to be bridesmaids that your wedding party duties are on hold until you find out exactly how big your wedding is going to be in Cabo. That way, you are still kinda putting off those that you don't want in the wedding, but can "unofficially" include the new BM. It's scary picking BM so far in advance, because you never know what will happen in your relationships over the next year. My MOH is someone I've only known for a year, but it seriously feels like we have been friends forever- sounds cheesy, but true. She even moved to another state and we are still close. So, just try to hold off as much as you can. Your FI can still post pics of the groomsmen if he wants, but due to the nature of your relationship with some of the BM, I think you may want to sit that one out for a while!

back from our wedding and working on a review :)
Sarah replied to JENGONDA9's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
Welcome home to the newest Mrs! Jen, we're glad you're back and can't wait to hear all about it! Congratulations! -
Yay! Lenita, I'm glad you are joining us- we'll have so much fun! I also will share any of the pics that are "appropriate", but probably only by special invitation to the webpage, or maybe by PM since I just really don't think I want provocative photos of myself on the forum...I'm not really a paranoid person, but there are some wierdos and this forum is getting HUGE!

Not today, because I'm just finishing up 3 nights in a row at work (too tired!). But, i did yesterday and my body still hurts!

Welcome Leeann! It's great to have you on the forum:) Happy planning!

I found out in June 2006 that I have Lyme Disease so it has been an interesting year to say the least. I was just looking at Victoria's Secret online and they have some cute things right now. I really like this: Victoria's Secret - Flyaway satin babydoll and a pic like that would be cute for this session (nothing too over the edge and just an idea). omg Amy- Lyme disease? That's crazy! I hope you get better soon and can get rid of your Picc line! By the way, I love that Vic. Secret babydoll, I plan to go there this week...

OK, so who is in? Who got the email from Leigh? Ann, I know you're in with me. How do you want to do this? Do you want to do it all together and take turns with different backdrops, or do you want to be alone at different times? I'm very self-conscious about my weight right now (and that pesky cellulite that just seems to get worse the more weight I lose!) but I can "suck it up" and take pics with everyone else...

I reaaalllly hope that is fake. If so, it's pretty funny. If not, that is one scary crazy chick!

It would be kind of fun the morning of the wedding, but then you have to bring them to Mexico (or where ever). We already have lived together for almost 2 years, and we'll be staying together the week before the wedding, so the current plan is for me to stay with my brother & SIL (or him to stay with his dad) the night before the wedding and we won't see eachother until when I walk down the aisle. I will have one of my BM's deliver it to him with a note so he can look at it privately. I will probably make another photobook like I did with my engagement pics, just have to look into if there are any "explicit content" restrictions or anything like that. Not sure that my pics will necessarily be that "explicit", but you know what I'm getting at.

I hope you feel better soon...you aren't getting married until next year so you have plenty of time. You never know, Leigh may have to come this way for other things later this year or next year, or there are always other photographers...

Private Reception at an AI
Sarah replied to MagsieMexico's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
Glenda, don't you have a digital camera? You need to get with the times girlfriend- I was counting on you to take candids at my wedding (since you'll be there, of course)! We want a pic of you, I don't care if you weigh 600 pounds and have purple hair! -

Welcome to the forum Salsabride #2!

I honestly don't think I would be having a DW without this forum. I was just getting to the overwhelmed and frustrated point when I found this forum (well actually the old Cabo one!). I agree that I feel like I'm friends with so many of the girls on here. It's so fun to meet people from other places, share something in common and get to know more about eachother. I will admit that this forum has made me laugh (often), cry (I know, i'm a sap!) and has also challenged my long-held opinions about tradition and even other issues. I'm so happy to have all you girls...
