I did ask her about it, she said she'll email us with options and pricing. I just can't decide if I want to undertake the task of making a book again, or just pay her to do it. Did you see the album she had there? It was awesome. The problem is that I would want one like that and I think she said it was like $700 or something. Gulp. I know why they are that expensive though, because they are sooooo time consuming! I'm just a wierdo and like to look at my pictures over and over, and play around with them, and edit them, and make things out of them. The only way I can do that is to buy the digital files. Although, i guess these pictures can't exactly become Christmas cards! I can see it now- the "I'll pick something up with my butt" pic on my parents refrigerator with "Happy Holidays" scribbled next to it... I don't know- I'll wait and see how they come out and see what Leigh suggests. Seriously, Ann, don't worry about your pics. I saw enough really good ones of yours to know that you will have several to make a great book out of. Those window shots of yours were awesome!

Yup, although I didn't wear that I did enjoy her tall boots, and the sluttiest red heels I've ever seen! lol- went great with my naughty nurse outfit! omg Ann, I don't know how I'll survive until I see the pics...Then I have to decide what to do with them. Do you know what you're going to get?

Wait and see how you feel as you get farther along. My friend said that she really didn't want to and her husband talked her into it. But now she's sooo happy that she did it. And seriously, the pictures are gorgeous. Some are very revealing, but yet very elegant. Then you can get back in shape and do a boudoir session for Steve for your anniversary or something. There was another girl with us today, a photographer friend of Leigh's from a photography forum, and she had been married for 4 years and always wanted to do these pics. She was the most daring of all of us. In fact, all three of us BDW girls were borrowing her clothes and shoes because she had such sexy stuff- see post above about Ann and the boots! lol

I didn't lose any weight this week, but I suppose I deserve it since I went way over my points! Even worse, I got home from our Boudoir photo session tonight and ate a whole package of cookies! lol Back on the wedding diet tomorrow.

They are probably some of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. There are some on display in their bedroom at their house, and the others are kept private because she went totally nude for some. But, they are truly breathtaking and a once in a lifetime opportunity. You should totally do it- you know, Leigh lives in Cali! lol

Now that I've met you in person Ann, I can make a more educated decision! I think #6 would look awsome on you. But, I really like #1 too. I think it depends on what kind of look you're going for. #1 is more partyish, #6 is more elegant. I still really like your original one though.

So for all you girls that thought about doing this and wimped out, you missed a great time! Ann, Lenita, and I had so much fun, and the pictures look AWESOME! Leigh let us look at some of them on her digital camera and she did a fantastic job. She said some preview pics will be up on her blog next week, for those of you who are interested. I would highly recommend this type of session for you brides to be. I haven't even seen all the pictures yet, but know I will love them. Leigh totally put us at ease, and all of our worries about looking and feeling silly were gone after a few pictures. We were even out in the hall of the building getting some shots while the other girls took turns being on the lookout for people! It was a blast, wouldn't you say, Ann & Lenita?

Very pretty Danielle! I agree with the other girls and love the pics of you in your dress on the bed. I had to laugh- what are you guys doing in the bathroom? Looks like you had a great time!

Oh, and I'm really really really really hoping the makeup artist can cover the HUGE black bruise on my knee from the snowmobile accident. It actually extends all the way around to the back of my thigh. It looks worse every day...

I decided to have my hair and makeup done, that way it takes the stress off me. I just don't want to worry all the way down there about having a bad hair day- I'll let them worry about that!

Yay! I went to VS on Tuesday and bought a bunch of stuff, so I'm just bringing everything I can think of and we'll go from there! I think I'm just going to bring one pair of black heels and I'm a 7 1/2 so if they work for you Ann, you're welcome to wear them. I just realized that Chicago is one hour behind Lansing (duh!), so I guess now I can leave at 6:30 (my time) instead of 5:30 - yay! I'm planning to try to arrive at 9:30 for hair and makeup (Leigh wants me there by 10). I definitely hear you about the needing restful sleep. I got madated to stay at work overtime this morning since we were so busy so I worked from 7pm Wed night until noon today (17 hours straight). I slept for 3 hours this afternoon and now am trying to get stuff ready for tomorrow. I'm planning to get in bed at about 9 tonight! I look like hell right now because of the big bags under my eyes- gotta sleep them off tonight!

I think this was already mentioned in another thread, but Burlington Coat Factory has flower girl dresses for super cheap! Some of them are pretty cheesy, but I found three great dresses for under $25 each. Here is the one we decided on, modeled by my adorable niece Ava who is my flower girl.

I say no way. It's such a special moment when you walk down the aisle towards him that I wouldn't want to ruin that surprise. I also didn't have BM's close, but took 2 work friends with me. It was still fun, and they were people whose opinions I valued. On a side note, be careful how detailed you get if you ask him opinions before you go shopping. It turned out that exactly the type of dress that he was saying he didn't like (sheath style or trumpet style) actually looks really good on me, but I still steered away for that reason. I probably would have bought a different dress if it wasn't for how adamant he was about not liking that style. Afterwards, I told him that I avoided some dresses because of his opinion and he was like "I told you I didn't want to tell you because I knew this would happen!". Point taken...

I agree with Natalie that buying the diamond separate can often yield great savings. I don't know exactly what Jeff spent, but I have a pretty good idea. My band is Tacori platinum with pave and was around 2K. The diamond is 1.5 carats and although I don't know exactly what he paid, I think he got it for close to half what it is appraised for when mounted in the band. This is because the diamond itself is not the most perfect diamond, but ideal cut and the flaws are covered by the prongs. He said he made 4 different trips to the jewelry store to look at 1.5 carat ideal cut diamonds until he found the best one for the best price. So, if you're not worried about having a flawless diamond (I couldn't care less- I just didn't want to see large flaws, but my diamond is "eye clean" when mounted. People can't believe what the actual stats are on my diamond when I tell them (it's G color, ideal cut, 1.51 carats, SI1) because the flaws are hidden and the ideal cut + color make it look really good.

I'm down 2.2lbs this week! Woohoo! This finally brings me back to where I was before Christmas according to the scale. But, I know I'm really down "more" than that because of how much muscle I've gained. Yay- I was starting to feel like that scale was NEVER going to move!
