  2. that's something i was also thinking about...my biggest fear with me wedding dress is that it will get stolen either in my room or when it goes to get steamed...ahhhhh!!!
  3. thanks for posting those pics...that is one of the main reasons why i would never get married on the beach is people in their bathing suits....unless it was a private beach i guess
  4. julie post them anywayz we love wedding pics
  5. Tammy also it isnt that expensive to make a custome ring..ive looked into prices and it will come out to be exactly the same...and yes we girls overthink everything dont worry bout that it just makes the process more fun and we love to drive ourselves insane anyways
  6. This is so hard because im in the same boat as you...i love the eternity one but have decided to go with half way around..these are my reasons why: a) eternity is uncomfortable to wear according to my mom id rather have something half way around and have bigger diamonds for more of a sparkle c) if you refer back to ann's thread where she is trying to decided on rings i posted my e-ring with an eternity band and it just doesn't look right...doesn't sit properly under d) Terry said he'd buy me an eternity for one of our anniversarys e) u can't get them resized f) if u get 3/4 of the way around still looks like an eternity and no one will know it isnt unless u wave..see janets heres is 3/4 of the way i thought it was all the way around...well its beautiful hope this helps..good luck

  8. I am originally going to get married in the DR but it was too hard for me to plan a wedding there well at least my hotel of choice...just bad communication, no one would ever get back to me so i got fed up and than found this site when it was cabo still...met tammy and saw her pics at of dreams and knew this was the exact place i wanted to pick....also since ive never been to cabo i wanted something new and exciting as i have been to the DR so many times and cuba, jamaica etc.... good luck with picking ur location...what have u narrowed it down 2?
  9. awwwwwwww that is so sweet...why would people be nasty this is suppsed to be one of the most exciting times in our lives, obviously if we can help in any way why wouldn't we some people need to get off their high horse and stop being a bridezilla well we're very happy to have you on here so if u need anything just ask

    New Cabo Bride

Linz, you will find this forum so helpful...excellent choice on Cabo...I am getting married at Dreams in May and also didnt want feet in the sand more of an elegant wedding so were getting married in a church and our reception will be at the Oceana terrace as for chapels i think the only hotels that have one are Sheraton pueblo bonita and One and Only which has an amazing chapel but it is a very expensive place to stay at but if u can afford it than id totally reccommend one and only
  13. Hang!!!! I think there are 2 brides on the forum getting married at dreams cancun I am sure they will introduce themselves to u....happy planning!!!

Of course there is always the pool so if it is so expensive at the DR we may end up doing it in Cabo too since there are so many wedding coordinators there that would make it a lot easier for me since my job is quite busy and I don't have much time to coordinate things. Which hotel did you choose in Cabo? And who is your wedding coordinator? Do you have a travel agent you can recommend? Once again thanks a million for your help. I am getting married at Dreams and the ocean is unswimable but I heard that the Hilton is just a 10 min walk and you can swim there...the DR has great prices I find them way more affordable than cabo but that's flying from Toronto...cabo might b cheaper if u live in the US...and yes it is a lot easier to plan a wedding in mexico than in the DR but it also depends on what you're looking for I am using the WC at dreams since i don not have a large group coming I didnt think i needed any extra help...how many people you expecting?? there are tons of threads on WC in cabo on this forum i can send them 2 u if u like...but i know the most popular WC in cabo amongst the girls on the forum is MAYE CORTINAS I did not use a travel agent i booked online through selloffvacations.com

  16. see that's a great thing...please dont worry cause its making me really sad...i promise it will all be beautiful and you'll be happy with holguin and costa rica can wait u 2 will go for ur honeymoon and that way u will b able to enjoy it more by yourselves than with friends and family there
  17. k here are a few pics tht i was able to find...i cant find my other folder that had pics of the gazebo and room at sunscape...sry if i find them i will post these first pics are from when terry and I stayed at Bavaro princess (punta cana) in september its about 1 hour walk to riu punta cana and majestic well more like 2 hours but some how we made it there these are from sunscape this is the area where the gazebo is but i cant find pics of it..i had a good one from my room this one is inside the gazebo..isnt the panting beautiful?

We have children and elderly in our party. I also saw that you would recommend Sunscape and Paradisus Palma Real and Majestic Colonial. Which would be the best you think of the three. Lastly is there a travel agent you would recommend? And wedding coordinators in Punta Cana? Thanks a lot for your help! Yes the water is safe in punta cana actually it is quite beautiful but it also depends on the day as anywhere else, if it's a beautiful sunny day than the water is calm also it depends which part of punta cana u stay in....the riu and majestic properties are actually very close to eashother and there are tons of hotels in tha area so the beach is a little bit more crowded sunscape beach is a little bit further away and if u walk along the beach its about 30 min till u reach another resort, so if ur looking for something a little bit more quite than i would go with sunscape also u would probably be able to a better eye out on children at this resort but that is just my opinion as for the paradisus i have never stayed there but just from pics it looks stunning and was looking at getting married there first when i got engaged...its more of a luxurious hotel and is a bit on the pricey side the reason i changed my wedding location from punta cana to cabo is that i found it very hard to get any info...the majestic was very unhelpful and took them weeks if not months to get back to me regarding weddings so i gave up and picked cabo which has more english speaking people and is a lot easier to gather info but anyone of those resorts you choose in punta cana they all have onsite wedding planners so i guess based on the demographic of the people travelling with you i would go with sunscape beach, but if you dont mind having a busy beach than majestic or riu punta cana are beautiful (i love riu properties i find them stunning and great prices)...ill post some pics for you, hotel and beach so u can get an idea of the water also hope this helps, sry for blabbing let me know if u need any other help
  19. O go with playa pesquero they have the cute gondola ride restaurant thingy there, that would be so romantic...also did u check out the pics on tripadvisor? the first ones are of a wedding

  21. punta cana is so beautiful i love it there....i actually stayed at sunscape the beach in dec 2005 let me know if u want 2 see pics and need any help...just to let u know i went when the resort first opened so im sure a lot of the things have improved since than The hotel itself is AMAZING!!!!! its stunning the rooms are nice ( we had a swim out room) they had an amazing japanese restaurant there the food was so yummy the beach was perfect, the pool was a lazy river that went throughout the entire resort...it was a great vacation overall
  22. well i just pm'd u asking if u decided on a location than i saw this thread...well congrats!!!! i think u will b so happy with holguin, it is a lot less travelled and the beaches are AMAZING!!!!!! my friend actually stayed at playa pesqu.....(lol sry dont remeber how to spell it) ill ask her again how it was she went 2 years ago.... have u looked into paradisus de oro at all

I totally see your point, and appreciate you sharing your point of view. But I will say, on a brides behalf, if she's contacting you and taking the time to ask you if you're flexible w/prices - she IS showing genuine interest in your work! And if her budget isn't flexible, she probably thinks she shouldn't waste your time (or hers) with a lot of questions and discussion. Does that make sense? I agree with you Ann on this one and I don't think u would be asking for a discount but more of maybe seeing if the photographer can cut their hours from say 6 down to 4 that might drop the price but if those prices are set in stone and maybe the photographer doesn't need the extra business than I understand why they have the prices they do
