  1. Now that I've seen Karla's pictures (which are absolutely STUNNING!!!!!!!!) I think I'm going to go with both the veil and flowers. I think it looks beautiful, not too much at all!! I love the cathedral veil and you're right it does go well with the dress. I don't know if you're planning on putting your hair up or leaving it down. If it's up you could put the veil underneath the updo (like Karla) and when you take it out put flowers along the side. I think no matter what you choose it will look beautiful. I love your dress!!!!
  2. Welcome!!! You'll find this board very helpful. It's amazing how helpful people are and how quick the responses come.
  3. I don't know if you've made your decision yet. My friend has an eternity ring and just had a baby. She finds that when she picks up the baby she finds the inside of the rings gets hooked in clothes and can scratch and lately she hasn't been wearing her wedding band. Just a thought, because I've yet to decide and I'm a huge fan of eternity rings.
  4. What's everyone doing with regards to a veil. I have to wear my hair up due to humidity and texture of hair but I'm undecided on a veil. I would love to have flowers in my hair but I would also love to have a veil. I'm afraid both would be too much. Any suggestions? ETA: Ladies-this thread was created out of 7 different threads, some parts might seem out of place-however this is easier to have it all in one thread.
  5. I'm getting married at a private beach location in Ocho Rios. I'm using Almarie for Tropical Weddings Jamaica. She has been amazing. She has been very flexible, helpful and very quick with responses. I think I'd be so stressed trying to decide on everything myself!!!!
  6. I was sooo afraid of going with a cruise in case the ship has to miss port!!!! But everyone assures me that with the time of year and the port I've chosen it is very, very unlikely that it would ever happen. Just in case I have a planner in Miami who is willing to pull something together in a couple of days so I can have a beach wedding when the cruise returns to port in Miami, I just have to let her know all my preferances in advance............Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!!!!!!
  7. Thanks for the suggestion. Now that I have something to compare it to I'm definately going with the larger ones. I want something that guests will be able to use going to the beach and pool etc...
  8. Are you staying at a resort for your Honeymoon? After the cruise ports in Miami, we're going for a week on our honeymoon. We're looking to go back to Jamaica because I've never been and I won't get to see much our wedding day. The only problem I have now is picking a resort, there are so many to choose from.
  9. I'm trying to get my OOT bags together. Even though the wedding's not until May I want to get some things out of the way. What size have others used for their OOT bags. I have bags picked out and the size is 9X10, but I'm wondering are these too small to be useful or would a 12X3 be better?
  10. Hi all, After much research and discussion with FH and family we've decided to get married on May 3rd, 2007 in Ocho Rios Jamaica. We're going on a cruise and getting married in port on the 3rd. The location is a private beach setting in Ocho Rios.
