  1. Here are some pictures: The room pictures, with the 2 double beds: Looking out from one of the rooms: View from room on the other side of the building. Note that most rooms have limited ocean views like this. All the rooms face the pools mostly. View from pool looking to the hotel rooms. View on the steps to Medano Beach outside the PBR: View of the grounds around the PBR: Pool view towards the hotel: Pool view towards the beach: Another pool view:
  2. Jenesis, I just ran into this posting. The Rose did not have King or Queen bed options, but they can put the beds together for you. I thought that the double beds were actually kind of small, so putting them together worked out great. They do not have a large bedspread, so you have to make do with bedding for double beds, but it was not bad. I'm going to post some pics.
  3. I would send the Save the Dates as soon as possible. Like all the girls said, you don't have to have all the plans set in stone before sending them. All your guests really need to know is the location and the date. Anything else can be updated as the time gets closer.
  4. If my dress had been really expensive and I could get a good percentage of the money back, then I would consider it. But since my dress was only about $600, I think that it would not be worth it. I really think I'd love to show it to my kids some day though. I wished I could have seen my mom's dress. I realistically do not think any of my future generations would wear it.
  5. Oh good, another succesfull November wedding! We don't have any December weddings, do we? What are we going to do without the reviews and pictures until the next one!? Same thing that happened to Rebecca regarding lighting, happened to me. We started the ceremony very late, around 4:45 PM, and we lost light FAST during the sunset. We took the wedding party down to the beach to take pics, etc... and by the time we got them in the pictures, it was almost dark. So I have about 5 pictures with our wedding party. My advice is to start the ceremony early and if necessary, do what Natasha did and just hang out and enjoy your guests until the light is right to take the rest of your pictures.
  6. Wow Natasha, your pics are so great! I had been waiting to see how everything went. And Tammy is right, you do look like a combination of Shania and Finola. She hit it right on the money with that comparison! You look so beautiful. We saw your fireworks the night of your wedding. We were at Las Ventanas having a drink when they went off. All the people at the Ventanas restaurant and bar got up to go see your fireworks. They were great!
  7. I just ran into several posts from when I was away on the wedding/honeymoon. We stayed a week at the Marquis, and I highly recommend this hotel. It was a beautiful property and the service was top notch. Here are some pictures. If anybody has any questions, please feel free to ask. The gorgeous Lobby: View from our room: The gorgeous infinity pool: More pool views: View from bar/restaurant area:
  8. I just saw my Honorary Member of the Month sign!! Thank you! That's so cool!
  9. Yeay Janet!!! I agree, you had the most succesfully stress free wedding. What an inspiration!
  10. Wow, there are tons of pics! Thank you so much for sharing all of them.... You look so gorgeous. I love the pics of you and your hubby sitting on the sand. I love the bridesmaid dresses. Those from JCrew? I was trying to convince my siters to get those, but they said they were too informal. I wished I had your pics to prove them wrong! I love them!!! Now my sisters are stuck with some stupid satiny dresses they can never wear again! The flower girls are adorable. Are those real flowers on their heads? Wow, 20 questions... sorry!
  11. We provided transportation the day of the wedding, but I think it was considered just something nice to do. I don't think guests *expected* it. We had people staying at other hotels and all we did was put pickup time and place at the PBR (The hotel we stayed at and recommended everybody to stay at.) We just left it up to the guests staying at other hotels to either get to the wedding by themselves, or come to the PBR to catch the shuttle for transportation.
  12. Thank you so much Edyta!! We're trying to figure out what song to put for our slideshow. Yeah, that Jack Johnson song is so perfect, but we also wanted to do something different. Thanks for giving us some ideas!
  13. Juan Carlos beat you to it! Everybody has been mentioning how gorgeous you are!

We were quoted $24pp for a fajita buffet which included one drink (water, soda, domestic beer, or margarita). It was A LOT of food. They had tostadas to start with and then chicken AND beef fajitas with spanish rice and beans. The margarita party was based on open bar with a minimum consumption price that you can arrange prior to getting there. We had negotiated a minimum consumption of $750 (originally they wanted $1k) when we had 60-70 people, we had 35 count later on and negotiated to $500 minimum consumption. It's all negotiable, just don't forget that! We did not have a fee to setup the bonfire. We also did not have the whole restaurant rented out since we had only 20-30 people there. But it was fine, they sectioned off half of the place for us.
  17. Great idea. I always like to see what other people do. I really do think that the best investment is to take care of your skin. I try to get monthly glycolic facials. I am fortunate and don't break out much, but if I maintain these facials, I have flawless skin. I also use a retin-A cream from my facial person from DermAware.

  19. I didn't mean to, I promise!! My hubby hijacks our office every night working and I don't want to disturb him. He has a HUGE deadline next week and has been working crazy hours (we're talking 1 AM/2 AM) since we came back from the wedding. Sucks...
  20. You guys are very welcome... sorry it took me so long to post. I saw you guys struggling with them, but I never had time to jump on the computer and post the template.
  21. We had 40 guests. We had budgeted for around 60, but the closer to the date, the more people backed out. It was actually a great number of people. I feel like I got to spend some QT with most of them.
  22. Ok, I finally got smart enough and copied all my wedding docs to my work computer... It was rare that I could go home and jump on the forum. We made luminarias for our margarita party. I have attached a template we used that prints 6 logos/pics per one sheet of vellum paper. (See pic for size alignment with paper.) We followed directions just like what Christa posted at the beginning. We bought the white bags at Michael's and used white vellum and spray adhesive. Make sure you allow time for the vellum to dry between each printing. If something touches the vellum, you will get ink all over. Let me know if you have any questions.
  23. Glad we know now to click away.... I should be making you at least 40 more cents in a bit!
