I bought several packs from Bed Bath and Beyond, wrapped the packs in bubble wrap and put in checked luggage. I did not have ANY problems with TSA. Since they were protected by bubble wrap, the original packaging from BB&B, and some clothing, they were fine.

I'm so glad to see you girls sharing information about Sunset Da Mona Lisa. It was difficult for me to find much info when we were planning our wedding. Feel free to e-mail me or post a Private Message for me, anytime you need info. Our wedding had 40 people total and having the reception at the salon was adequately private enough. If you have the budget, renting out the place would be cool, otherwise, the salon should do it. One piece of advice is to definitely try to get the salon, and not do the reception at the palapa. The palapa is NOT private at all, please don't let them convince you that it is. All regular restaurant patrons will have to walk right through your wedding reception in the palapa to get to the terraces. Also, the advice I gave to Jessica regarding the construction is really important. We were promised verbally that the construction would stop during the wedding. Weird... we still heard jackhammering during the wedding... so put it in the contract!!

Wow, I actually still had the pic of the girl's hair with the #1 orchids. By the way, I got the single gardenia the first time I ordered from this website and it was very small. I have a really small head, so take that into consideration. Are you still coming to Raleigh often? If so, I would be more than happy to meet up with you and show you my flowers so you can try them.

I almost missed this post! Ann, you're right, that's where I bought my hair flowers. I got #3, the gardenia, but I got the "set" that comes with 2 flowers. These flowers are of really high quality. Everybody thought they were real. I highly recommend going the fake flower route. It's a lot simpler and you don't have to worry about wilting/dying. I found the website originally because a girl on theknot had the 3 orchids. Once I was doing all my stuff, I decided on the gardenia set. Let me go see if I can find the picture of the 3 orchids and post.

I think Christa and I used to b%*$ about this ALL the time! The kicker was the friends that had JUST gotten married, so they had JUST been through the same crap, and would tell me that they've been "too busy" to RSVP. Baffled me! Honestly, I think almost everybody goes through this RSVP crap. My advice is to just count the people that have said Yes FOR SURE, and don't waste your $$ on the other slackers. I'm sure adding people later won't be as big of a deal as the vendors are making you think. Good luck, and relax... the wedding is so much fun regardless of all the pre-wedding stress

Christa, I kid you not.... I logged on specifically to see how your wedding was!! You look gorgeous! Wow, can you believe it's over?!? I still keep hoping I can do it all over again! Congratulations!!!

We stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Rose with all our guests and moved to The Marquis the day after the wedding. We still managed to meet up with everybody 2 of the days, but that's our fault. Just make sure you setup boundaries with your family and friends! Overall, I really think that if you want a honeymoon, it is best to remove yourself from everybody else. And the further away, the better!

Oh yeah, the famous Ceci invites. These ones are my sister's invites: Ceci - Collections - Wedding - Ceci Classic - Ana Luisa & Baudouin She actually suggested I get mine from there.... Tim and I laughed and laughed and laughed... then I made my own. They were really high quality and gorgeous... but wow, it has expensive written all over them! I honestly never even asked her how much $$ they cost her.

Welcome Lili! I live in Raleigh and got married in Cabo this past November. So far I think we're the only Raleigh people on here!
