  1. Megan-The cake is super cute. And the pics turned out great! How much did they charge you for the chuppah? What company did Baja use?
  2. We are going to use the ipod and portable speaker for our wedding and are using his dad 60th Birthday party to see how it goes.
  3. Thanks Megan for the review. I hired Natalie the office manager from Baja Weddings for our WC. I think I am going to have her put it in writing that she will be in charge the day of the wedding. That would really piss me off if I had been planning with her for a year and then had someone else. Thanks for the heads up!
  4. This is something I probably would have forgot if it wasn't mentioned! I guess I will add that to my list.....
  5. I have been bad about posting my excerise/diet but I don't have the time lately. I did workout 3 times at the gym this past week and yesterday I went on a 13 mile bike ride! It was awesome. Today I am headed to the gym after work. I am going to do 45 minutes of cardio and arms. I have also been pretty good about my portions too.

She gave us a great price, but I am nervous about getting it in the mail....
  7. I never thought of buying a dress online but maybe I will look and see what is out there. Sounds like a bunch of you have found some great buys.

Nabumbah recommended some great sites and since I'm an ebay freak I found this pretty cool dressmaker who looks like she makes some pretty good knockoffs. If you search for a specific dress on ebay (I searched for Priscilla of Boston) you might get the link to her ebay store. Here is the Priscilla of Boston gown I love (2902), it's like $5000+ Here is the knockoff ($650) Hey Sarah that knock off looks pretty good, how much is she asking?

My fiance's family is huge, so it's a great opportunity for everyone to meet and hang out before the actual wedding. I feel the same as you. We are in the same boat as far as family spending time together and people traveling to be at the wedding. Plus I figure $21. a person for 30 people is not that bad. And my FI family is paying for the RD.
  10. I will just wait until you guys figure it all out and go from there. hee hee

    hi

hello and welcome! there is a ton of great advice on this forum!
  13. Sarah- I LOVE the first dress. I think the color is very pretty and feminine. I also love the sash, it gives it a different look.
  14. Here is the one we decided on http://www.trewtungsten.com/collection.html its is the Original Beveled Edge Inlaid with Platinum 7mm.
  15. Thanks! By the way I have so much respect for the work you do. Just watching the nurses work at the jail and all the work they do, they need a raise!
  16. K, yesterday i ate pretty good and did 30 minutes on stairmaster and 15 minutes running on the treadmill. My knee felt screwy yesterday so i didnt lift weights at all. today bfast-oatmeal and coffee lunch smartones meal for better portions (i tend to eat too much at work because its always super busy) snack-sugar free jello protein shake pre-work out dinner-chicken and probably salad tonight cardio 45minutes and hopefully weights
  17. Thanks for the tips, I figured he probably knows a few places to go my WC just wanted to know if I had any specific spots. Maybe I should do them the day before, so i dont have to worry about them the day after.
  18. Karla- Who is your wedding planner? Where did she say she was getting the flowers from? It does seem kind of high for the bridemaids, since there are not that many flowers in them.
  19. I am having Manuel take day after wedding pics. I have seen a bunch of brides doing this on the knot. Does anyone know of good places to take pictures at? Maybe some historic or landmark places?
  20. I'm with you on that Jackie, Fiji looks awesome if $$ were no object.

  22. We are having a DW for a few reasons. Me and Kevin love to go places together we have never been. I have a HUGE loud, crazy mexican family and Kevin's mom side of the family is the same way. Besides we wanted private, intimate type of wedding with just the people we are closest to.

  24. Ladies, I took the last two days off my workout schedule because I have been soooooo tired from work. Sometimes I don't know how I work 12 hours a day!! Tomorrow I am running and lifting no matter how tired I am. Saturday i am going on a long bike ride in Santa Cruz with some friends.
