  3. HI TammyM. Once I knew I wanted to get married in Cabo, I just started asking people at work if they had ever been. Two of my co-workers had been and suggested PB Sunset Beach. They both have timeshares at PB Sunset beach and said they have seen a few weddings that were just beatiful. This is coming from two guys, so I figured it must have been good. They said the service is great, food is good and the people are very friendly. Also it is away from downtown and is relaxing. The resort has a shuttle that takes you to the sister resort downtown for free. They said from there all the nightlife is within walking distance. Instead of researching endless hours, I just decided to pick that resort and be done with it. I know myself and if given too many options I would have taken FOREVER to pick a place. Thats also why we are not doing a pre-wedding visit. Too many options. Although my brother just recently stayed at the Hilton and loved it.
  4. The house is very pretty. I think I might have to sell my first born just to get a house that doesnt cost a million dollars in santa cruz!

I also like the fact that the companies owners are from so cal, and live between cabo and ca, so I know I could get in touch with them right away if there are problems. I didnt think i would get much done since my wedding is not until next october, but she has been good at responding to emails and all the questions I have. To date I have confirmed the location, reception site, person conducting the ceremony, blood work and photographer. I also like that she does not try to "sell" me on certain items. For example I told her that we are going to use an ipod for recpetion music and did not need a dj or speaker system she just ok. She actually said it works out pretty good with a small wedding (30 guests). Hopefully this is all a good sign for future planning!
  6. Congrads to MariaElena & Raina!! Can't wait to hear your reviews and see some awesome pics!

First since it is the strongest metal out there, if you get hurt with the ring on THEY CAN NOT CUT IT OFF! IT would be stuck on there forever or you have to cut off the finger! That is really scary to me! But the lady also told me that her husband got his hand caught in a electric saw and the ring saved his finger! i guess it hit the ring instead of the finger! oh and there wasn't a scratch on the ring! Crazy! I guess I never thought of that! That is a little scary, I need to ask the lady about that before I buy it.
  8. I just used theknot.com since most people have heard of it before. I think if I had a different website it might be too complicated for some to find!
  9. I talked to my dad tonight about the arch and he said no problem. We are going to build one here for practice and then just buy what we need from HD in Cabo. I told my dad we can save $350.00 He said $350.00 can buy a lot of drinks!

I've added the pics to my style gallery page: Jenetta's (jpmo) style The arch looks great. I saw a very pretty arch on Juan C's website, I am going to see if my dad can make one when we get to Cabo. He owns his own construction company so I figure he can make an arch from bamboo.
  11. Tammy- Can you send me your info for travel arrangements, I want include this as an option for my friends to make reservations.
  12. We are sending out STD's and formal invites. Eventhough we pretty much know who is coming we are still sending both. Just cause I want to.

FYI- When I was trying to get a price for my flowers, they initially quoted me an outrageous price. They were using imported callas. You can also get national callas, which are a bit smaller, and it would be about 1/2 the price. So make sure to ask! Thanks for the tips on the callas lillies. That could make a huge price difference.
  14. We are getting married at PB Sunset beach as well. We just hired Manuel Burgoin. I have heard nothing but great things about him. There is a thread on this forum about his services. I can't wait for a full review when you return!
  15. janet-Hey if your FI doesn't want the spa treatment, the more $ to spend on yourself! My FI is totally into being pampered, he thinks all the treatments and products are worth the money. We just went to The Hotel Mandaly Bay in June and got massages and facials, it was the best!
  16. Manuel is our photographer too. I can't wait to see your pics after your wedding.
  17. I am happy to hear that the weather turned out good for you wedding. I am getting married on October 12, 2007 and was watching the weather all that week.
  18. Good question Christa. Anyone have any advice?
  19. Thanks girls, I wanted something sexy and flirty. Needless to say mine is going to be something v-neck, we are sticking with the sexy attire for us girls. My mom said "Natalie, thats not what brides are suppose to wear!" Wait til she sees the BM dresses!
  20. Thanks ladies for all the advice on the shower. She is my very close friend and is in my wedding. I think I will get her a gift off the registry and some honeymoon gear! I am not really into showers either but we were in a sorority so you know how that goes, any reason to have one too many girls in a room.
  21. I hope you enjoy this forum, all the girls are very helpful!
  22. Yes she is, but I thought the bridal shower was for sexy night wear. I guess these days its for both.
