Welcome aboard! Yes, you'll get information overload for the first couple of days, but this site is wonderful as is everybody on it. Congrats!
  5. We did do the Save The Dates as soon as we set the date and confirmed stuff with the hotel. Mostly everybody who is coming has made their reservations. We are leaning towards invites for those who are coming and then a nicer announcement for everybody else. Thanks for all the advice girls.
  6. Very pretty, and I'm sure that the girls will are excited to wear something that they can wear again..
  7. My mom wants me to pick out what she will wear for the wedding - OK, that's cool, I'm glad she wants my opinion. Here's my problem, I have no idea where to start. Mom is a full figured woman, and not real "girlie", I can't remember the last time I saw her in a dress - 1990 maybe? And I know she wants it to be special, not just a normal dress, more of a mother of the bride type of thing. Everything I look at just doesn't say "my mom" to me. What did your mom's wear or what are they wearing? Should I suggest that she wear pants? She might be more comfy that way
  8. Tanya, Welcome and Congrats on your upcoming wedding.
  9. OMG! I just had my first wedding dream - or nightmare... Our wedding is supposed to be on the beach, but for some reason they shipped us to this house that kind of looked like a gingerbread house, and the wedding was inside. When we got there, it was mass chaos, and I actually had to walk down the aisle 3 times. The mariachi band was high school kids - my little brothers friends - all dressed in street clothes... And we all sat at a big "board room" table for the wedding - where everybody talked the entire time..... I woke up before the I got see what the judge was like. Just remember too that the photographer never showed up. It's funny now, but 10 minutes ago, my heart was pounding like crazy it seemed so real.
  10. You have to remember that I'm in Charlotte, it's not so expensive here. That's the only downfall if we move to Charleston, it's SO expensive there that we'll have to downgrade a lot... Sarah ~ cute place.... Can't tell for sure but the door looks red - I love a red door...

  12. This is the one thing that we did not check out this past June was the spa - has anybody heard anything about it? In our "package" we both are to get massages, and then I get something else, but I can't remember what. www.renovaspa.com
  13. Happy Birthday Girls! I hope you both have a wonderful day.

Are you doing the beach reception? I think it would be beautiful and so much fun! Yes, we are doing the beach reception. Or at least that is the plan as of now. I just actually got the confirmation yesterday that it was available, so they are holding it for us.
  15. I found some more information on this photobook (Storybook).... I did download the software and "built" a fake one last night. It was very easy. As soon as I get a chance, I'll try to figure out how to put it up here. Once this page opens, click on Learn More - it's a PDF file. I tried to upload it, but it's too large. http://www.creativememories.com/Land...?folder=Promo3
  16. Hey RIU Brides! I just received the menu for if you want to have the beach location for the reception at the RIU. Again, not sure if it might change, but I just received this tonight. Only a 2 day turn around on reponses to email this time. Adriana ROCKS!

  18. Great ideas everybody - esp. loving the "ladies that lunch"... Will keep that in mind.
  19. Sounds good to me. I've been trying to think of something, but nothing is coming to mind.
