  1. Hi, I have stayed at both Siesta Suites and Mar de Cortez in downtown Cabo . Both are very reasonable and very clean. I am actually suggestions these to my friends on budgets http://www.cabosiestasuites.com/ http://www.mardecortez.com/
  2. Natasha, No problem I totally understand. I will just inquire. Lisa
  3. That's good to know! I would rather have my blood test in the US. I am using Maye so I am going to check with her. Never thought to ask.. Thanks,Lisa
  4. hey Janet, Are you hanging lights/luminaries at the Cabo surf hotel for yoru reception or are they already part of the decor. On their web site it looks like they are part of the decor. Lisa
  5. wow. Cabo now has all the US amenities. I was there about 12 years ago and it was very unamericanized (if that's a word). Home depot will be very helpful. I was planning on having my FI do the same thing and I also like the tiki torch idea. Lisa
  6. Janet, Are you saying there is a home depot in Cabo
  7. The tequila tasting is a great idea. My family rented a house in the Pedregal and wanted to have a party one night and a tequilla tasting would be fun. I sent an email to a Tequila Store in Cabo asking if they did tastings or knew of anyone who did. Haven't hear back yet but will keep you posted. Lisa

    Cuba

Hi Janet, I did hear that the fines were big but I wonder what the chances are of getting caught. I don't think they stamp your passport going in to Cuba. Was your friend ever questioned coming back in to the US? Lisa
  9. This may be an adventure and a little more economical if you are not on a schedule. SuburCabos and InterBaja To and from San José, the more convenient and economical Suburcabos public bus service runs every 20 minutes and costs $2.50. Los Cabos does have a public transportation bus service. These busses that run between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo all day, every day of the week. They start running in San Jose at 5:00 AM and in Cabo they start at 5:20 AM, and run until 9:30 or 10:00 PM. There are official bus stops, with seats and shade, but the busses can be flagged down, from almost anywhere along the highway, by waving your arms. They will usually stop, if they see you in time. It is safer and easier to walk to the designated bus stops. The busses only run on the main highway and pass each stop (approximately) every twenty minutes. The fare is around 16 pesos (about $1.50 U.S.) between the two towns, less if your only going part of the way. It is a good idea to have changes for the fares. There are also express busses that won't stop for you (they must be boarded at a bus station), but wave any way, they all look alike around here.

  14. WOW. Great review. I am glad everything worked out so well. Not sure I would have handled it as gracefully. Do you have the name or email address of the cigar roller you used. If you don't mind prices too. I have tried to contact the roller on this site but I haven't heard back. thanks, Lisa
  15. Hi, I haven't hear anything either. Please email prices. Thanks Lisa
  16. Oh no, I will try again. It just kept "thinking" when I tried. But given my past blunders with websites it's probably ME
