  1. IMO, if it's important to your FI that you have a wedding band, then at the very least I would get a very thin, plain one so that it doesn't distract from your E-ring. I bet you could get one for around $100.00.
  2. I had a crazy ex as well. But IMO if you want to do an announcement, then do one. Don't live your life wondering "what if" Hopefully since it's been awhile now since you had contact with him, that he had time to get over you.
  3. Well I have no idea why you are required to have the papers translated. But with that in mind you should be able to find a translation office in your area that can translate and certify the divorce papers. I had to do that, because I had a hard time changing my last name because our wedding papers were in spanish. Maybe ask your WC if that would be ok.
  4. Who is your WC? I got married in Cabo (legal wedding) and was married before and she didn't need the divorce papers in spanish.
  5. Kate you made my day. Their are not too many people in this world who would have stopped what they were doing to make sure the stray dog ended up safe, not only that but you found the owners. You truely did a wonderful thing, THANK YOU.. BTW, I keep dog treats in my car at all times, along with a spare slip leash. Their was this one time when we were driving home for lunch and we seen two dogs running stray together, you could tell one was older and really tired but trying to keep up with the younger one. The younger one was barking and growling at us if we tried to approach him. But the poor old guy just wanted a nice warm place to rest, so I opened up our car door and he jumped right in and layed down. The younger one jumped right in after him and was fine from that point on. You stayed calm, and proved to the dog that you weren't their to harm him, that was the best thing you could have done.
  6. We seen the article, and it's great to see the forum listed in there. Welcome to the forum

I really hope there's a breeze that day. Do a search on the forum, their used to be a link to a website that tells you around the time the sunset will be on any certain day.
  9. I got married on June 5th of last year, and it was fine. We had a 6:00 ceremony on the beach and we did an 1.5 hour before wedding photos outside, honestly with the breeze off the ocean it was fine. in fact some nights it was cold, so luckly I ordered a pash and I wore that.
  10. Looks great Morgan. What is the picture from with you in that long white dress?
  11. Happy Birthday Jessica. Hope you have a happy, fun filled day.
  12. Thanks Jess.. :-) I think most if not all my cards have been open for awhile now. So when does too much credit effect your score? So say I have 50k in open credit but I make say 60k a year, wouldn't that be bad for your credit report?
  13. So what is considered a "long standing account"?
  14. So if I have 10 cards 8 of them having a zero balance and the other two with a small balance, it's best to keep them all open? I thought it could hurt you to have too much potential debt to income?
  15. So DH and I were talking today, and I'm trying to figure how which way is better for us. So I was hoping someone knows and can offer some advise. So say DH and I have several credit cards most of them with a zero balance but say if we were to max them all out we could charge say 50k. Would it be better for your credit report if you just closed those zero balance credit cards, or keep them opened? I know their is a point where what you "could" spend can hurt you and I just want to make sure if we decide to by another house or something down the road that our credit is the way they want to see it. Does any of that make since?
  16. I think from what I have seen, is that most women it takes a few cycles before their regular again, however with that said my DR told me that your more likely to get pregnant when you first stop taking the pill. Also for you girls that are going to start TTC in the next couple of months, be sure to start taking Folic acid, for at least 2-3 months before you TTC.
  17. Good for you Leigh, 20lbs is allot to loose. Great to see you on the forum again, we missed you around here.
  18. What is it that you don't like about it? If you can't return it, maybe post it for sale on preowned wedding dresses website, or use it as TTD if your doing that
  19. Congrats, you picked a great location and an awesome photographer.
  20. DH knows names pretty well now from the forum. Or if it's a new person I say "so and so form the forum" and he gets it..
  21. Becky those turned out really well. Congrats. Elizabeth, great job.
  22. Glenda what exactly did you buy for your hands? I'm the exact same way, I put lotion on my hands about 10x's a day and they are still dry (inbetween my fingers)
