  1. I'm looking for some help finding a laptop. I must first warn you that I'm totally computer stupid. I just know what I need the thing to do or if it's working the way I want it to. So I'm looking for a laptop, mainly for editing software, and a good lcd resolution, I also need it to have a decent amount of ram. I'm also on a budget and would like to spend less then $1000.00 if at all possible. *What is "Maximum screen resolution" and more importantly can you really tell the difference between a 1280 x 800 to say compared to a 1600 x 900? *Video memory, is it only important for playing video games or viewing video's? Or does it have other advantages? Some laptops say 358MB versus 1530MB. Not sure if that is an important thing to look at. *I read that you should get anything that has "shared video memory" why is that? Also is their an specfic laptop brand that you would say "stay away from" due to problems with the manufacture?
  2. I don't think they usually do wedding cakes. How many quests are you having? You might want to contact Deena at Sweet Dreams, she did our cakes and they were AWESOME.. The problem with most of the vendors in cabo, well anywhere for that matter, is once you say it's a wedding they just see dollar signs. Maybe if you are working with a WC she can help you out.
  3. ha ha Erin I do the same thing.. Luckly DH drives every where (we even work together) So I'm off thinking of letters.. This morning I came up with a couple of ideas for "B" but it's really going to determine if I can get the right camera angle. But I love this challenge.. **BTW** What is everyone's thoughts about maybe doing 2 letters a week? I thought about it this morning and figured at this rate it will take us forever to finish. I don't care either way. Just throwing it out there.
  4. Lenny was a stray dog and was pulled from a kill shelter, this is normal for his situation. By the time Lenny is adopted the problem will be gone. Most puppies get worms because they eat each others poo, again common with puppies, they tend to spread it to each.
  5. ***BUMP*** Today starts "B", I have an idea of what i'm going to do.. not sure if I'll have a chance to take pic's today since I have a house to clean and a logo to make. But I may take a break and try to capture some.

  7. ROFL I can one up you on that Andrea.. Not dog related.. Several years ago my older cousin broke his leg and had a cast on his leg up to his knee. Well he went to the DR and complained about itching, asking if they can take off his case because it itched so bad. So the DR took of the case, couldn't see why it was itching.. So he continued to check his leg and noticed a sore inbetween two of his toes. Apperently, somehow maggots got in there and were crawling around UNDER his skin. I swear to God that is a true story.. For the record, my cousin wasn't big on showers/baths so who knows what type of crusted stuff was forming there.. Anyway your story reminded me of it so I had to tell you.. :-)

Ran the washer with the bedding in it, on another cycle with color safe bleach. The second I get home I'm going to finish vacuuming the house, couch, and I'm going to bleach the floor in the kitchen and bathrooms. I'm also going to wash every single do bed, (we have 3 in the house, one for each floor) all the dog blankets, and anything else I can think of that he may have come across.. Shoot I may wash all the dog toys too.. ROFL... Amy you think you have OCD, this is going to put a new meaning to that word... lol Quote: Originally Posted by KACENGG Tammy, I'm so sorry about the worms. Yes, its gross and nasty but easy to fix. Cain is going to keep him in the garage with him this evening, he is going to stay off the carpet. We were told the meds they will give him will take 24 hours to kill whats inside him and then he'll have a recheck in 2 weeks for another round in case the eggs hatch.. (eeew that's what I'm pictures, eggs hatching and worms everywhere in my house..) Me on the other hand.. Not sure I'll be able to sleep in that bed tonight.. or ever again .. lol
  9. I have no clue.. I'm asking everyone right now that has/had pets to see if they can tell me.. I've read some nasty sh*t online and it's making me feel like I want to throw up.. I seriously have issues with obsessing over stuff to much.. lol
  10. OMG you guys I'm totally freaking out and obsessing. Disclaimer: If you haven't ate breakfast yet, you might not want to read this.. If your pregnant and feeling nauseas, you might not want to read this.. So you all know I foster dogs... Currently we are fostering a senior dog (8-10 yrs old) great dog, friendly, will make someone really happy one day. A couple days ago we notice he (Lenny) had worms in his poo, so we called the vet and made an appointment (today actually is his appointment,,,, THANK GOD) to get him up to date on his shots and be put on a de-wormer med. Ok no dig deal right? **WRONG** So last night Cain was being lazy and didn't want to put Lenny in his crate for bed, you see Lenny jumped on the bed and wanted to sleep at our feet, Cain thought it was cute, and since Lenny is house trained he figured "why not" So me being the loving wife that I' am I said "fine, but if he jumps out of the bed at night, your getting up and putting him in his crate" Well all was fine through out the night.. Dum dum dum.... UNTIL I went to make the bed this morning... I noticed at least 30, what appeared to be "rice" all over the foot of our bed onto of my comforter.. I yell for Cain (who just stepped out of the shower) and said "what the hell is that" They rice wasn't moving so that put me a little at ease.. Then I said "are those his worms?" Cain said "I don't know, their not moving" SO at that very second I took all the bedding off my bed and threw them in the washer, and I fully plan on washing them at least 2 more times...... So as I start to obsess over it, I start to think that "I need to vacuum the house", "I need to shampoo all the carpet", and "I need to vacuum and shampoo our sofa" All I can picture is rice all over my house where he played, where he laid down on the couch, thinking about every where he has been over since we picked him up.... Well of course today isn't the weekend and I have to go to work, so I'm sitting here, reading everything that can be read on the internet,, now I'm not only freaking out about rice all over my house, but I'm also thinking about "what if my boys (dogs and cat) ate the rice and now they are infected" I seriously want to go home and clean my house from top to bottom, but then what do I do with Lenny afterwards? I mean what if he drips out this rice more? ........I feel dirty........ Do I keep him crated until they are dead? but that is mean, how can I do that to him..... I have had many fosters in my house, I have had them puke, pee, they have had explosive diarrhea in my house, yet this is by far the worst thing I had to deal with.. I'm totally grossed out.... Oh and to top it off, guess what I was going to have for lunch today? Left over Thai food.. Yeah that isn't going to happen now..
  11. WOW awesome pictures. They really did turn out so good, and it look so pretty there.. I need a vacation..
  12. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I totally agree, take a vacation and enjoy yourself. You deserve it.
  13. I really don't collect anything, I do have a few Boston Terrier stuff, like a cute kissing salt and pepper shacker, but not really a collection. Cain collects a few things. Snowboards and Starbucks coffee mugs of places he/we have been to.
  14. Happy Birthday Glenda, hope you have a fantistic day.. Hmm maybe even take a trip to the spa. :-) Love ya chic
  15. AJ adorable... And wow I thought for a second we might see a butt shot from you hicking up that dress so high.. lol Very fun and flirty. Love it.. congrats again
  16. OMG I thought it was my work computer.. I was thinking about getting sick and going home, just to actually read a thread.. lol
  17. AJ I was totally stalking your wedding website, just last week looking to see if your wedding pictures were up. They turned out great, and I love that you included a picture of your BT on your bouquet, such a cute idea. Congrats, and we'll have to plan another BT play date sometime soon.
  18. I'm still waiting on Jason and the few others to post their A... Where are you guys at?
  19. I had already taken a picture of a "B" however I'm not too happy with it so I'm going to try to keep looking. B is really hard, even more so if you use a capital B.
  20. I live in Wolverine Lake, about 10 mintues from 12 oaks mall. "Sarah" another mod on this forum lives in lansing. I believe there are a couple others but my mind is drawing a blank.
  21. MY wedding band looks just like that, except there is bars inbetween the diamonds instead of prong set.
