  9. Yeah, well she was a couple years ago but I would assume she still would be. Give her a call. I'm sure it might depend on where you want to do the shoot. Some girls want a really nice, modern hotel, so that could cause the fee to be higher since you'll need to rent the room.
  10. Have you checked with Leigh Miller? She did a shoot for a few girls on here and was great.
  11. Yikes, I have heard off and on about people having this problem. Hopefully she works with you and you are able to keep your photographer. Good luck and keep us posted.
  12. Hi and welcome to the forum. We have so many forum members that are or did get married in Jamaica, so that should help in your planning process. Good luck and congrats on your engagment.

My husband and I have been in rescue for several years now and he's a certified dog trainer. BUT boy did Big Al put us to the test.. lol He required A LOT of work, and you really have to be very consistant with your training or else you'll never get anywhere. Also, I would suggest to neuter your dog, for many reason really, but they have an "Alpha" personality, and will continue to try to take that role from you. Big Al is now 4 years old and is a totally different dog then when my MIL moved in with us. If you ever have any questions, feel free to PM me.
  14. Christine, I have Roja in that contest as well. lol
  15. OK I have so much to say about getting a dog. BUT I'll keep it short. lol First and foremost, PLEASE do your research and if you choose to get a puppy from a breeder, please make sure they are from a QUALITY breeder, not a back yard breeder. Have you considered a rescue dog? Dachshund's are very stubborn, and hard to train because of it. Also you have to be extremly careful not to over feed the breed as it can cause alot of problems with their back. Also one bad trait is that they tend to be a barky dog. As far as crate training, yes thats a great idea. Puppy pads are not a bad thing, Dachaunds are big babies in the cold so maybe that's why the paper trained. Just slowly move the puppy pad to the door and eventually bring the pad outside. It should do the trick.
  16. Actually I don't think there is a way to search by location. I know when Sarah and I were planning our weddings, we posted about meetup, sadly I think we were the only ones. But if you wanted to get together with other brides that are planning a wedding, you could do a shout out. That would be my suggestion.
  17. I think their are a few bride to be's located in Michigan.. Hmm In fact I think a couple just joined the forum recently. For the longest time it was just Sarah and I, it's always nice to see more fellow MI people on the forum.
  18. Great location, when I got married in cabo we stayed at a resort next to yours. For me finding the location for the wedding was the hardest part, so now you have all the fun of planning the rest. Best of luck, we have so many Cabo brides that can help in your planning process.
  19. Well, I think you and your FI should sit down and try to at least narrow 3 places down to where you would like to get married. Once you have those locations, we can try to help with specific questions you may have. There are just so many beautiful locations in this world, that it's really a personal decision on where you feel is right for the both of you. Best of luck and congrats on your upcoming wedding

    Hello all

Welcome and congrats on your upcoming wedding. We have so much information about Jamaica on the forum that it should help in your planning process. Things to think about.. How many people you want at your wedding and do you want a AI resort. I think once you have the location down, the rest should be pretty easy.
  21. If your looking for someone to make your BD book, I would HIGHLY recommend Sarah. I have seen her work, both online and in person (she doesn't live too far from me) and they are AWESOME. Seriously the girl has so much talent. Sproullie Designs

Welcome to the forum Theresa, Have you narrowed down where in Mexico you want to get married? If not, we have a ton of information on the forum on several locations, just use the search field and you'll be on your way. Good luck and congrats on your engagement.
  23. Hi Lori, and congrats on your upcoming wedding. Ah a women after my own heart, we didn't elope but I swear it would have been easier in the planning process. I think just really aim for the location of your ceremony, once you have that down, you can do a private dinner on the beach or whatever you envision your wedding to be. I've seen several weddings where it was just the bride and groom, and they are all different, so just remember that it can be as extravagant or relaxed as you want it to be.

First Congrats on your very recent engagement. You sound like my hubby and I when we were planning our Destination wedding. We choose to get married in Cabo, for several reasons really. But there are SO many beautiful locations, that I'm sure you'll find the perfect spot for the two of you to share. Best of luck in your planning process. And a big shout out to a fellow Michigan BTB. :-)
