  1. Hey Morgan, can you do me a favor and hold the 16x20 next to you so I can get an idea of how large it is? Long story short, I ordered DH a gift for his birthday and it's that size.

  3. IMO I would book two hours. I'd rather have too much time to get even more shots, then not enough time and feeling rushed and not getting as many shots.
  4. Oh have you thought about contacting Sarah on our forum? She does AWESOME work and I'm sure she could come up with a great custom design that you'll love.
  5. I think you got some really good advise so far. First set your budget, and then just contact the photographers that you are interested in. You'll find one that works for all your needs. I know it gets over whelming at times, but in the end it will be worth. Good luck and have fun. :-)
  6. Hi Debbie and welcome to the forum. We have a wonderful group of people here that can assist in your planning. Congrats on your upcoming wedding.
  7. Thank you to all the ladies that have entered the contest so far, we have so many wonderful stories, it's going to be tough picking a winner. Contest ends on Sunday, so if you haven't submitted your entry yet, you only have a few days left. Good luck ladies. :-)

For example, I like the 'Moving moments into memories' (sorry if that isn't the exact wording) tagline, however, if your target is a younger demographic it might not work for them, KWIM? Also, do you think you'd like to keep your tagline "forever" or change it up every now and again? Do you have a logo? If so, would the tagline work visually with your logo? Sorry for the random questions but I teach Marketing & PR classes every now and again and I was trying to think of everything I'd ask my students in the same situation. Good luck My logo is my name so that won't really say much. :-) And right now I'm enjoying doing all sorts of photography, I used to aim more towards pets, but the economy just isn't where it was a few years ago, so now I'm having fun with all different sorts of photos. I think the "unexpected" moments are what I tend to get. if that makes since, so I would like to use that word in my tag line. Somehow, or a version of that word.
  9. Hello and welcome to the forum. We have a ton of information on here that will help answer your questions, just use that search field and you'll be on your way. I think the first step is finding the location, because costs of say flowers will depend on the location and what's in season at that time. Good luck and happy planning.

    Hi!

Hi Abby and welcome to the forum. We have a great group of people here that should be able to assist you in your planning. Congrats on your upcoming wedding.
  11. How about "Capturing the unexpected moments that last forever" ?
  12. Welcome to the forum Nina. I think you'll find that this is a great place to be when planning a wedding. It was a life savor for me. Good luck and happy planning.
  13. I totally agree with Nathaniel. If you don't want your photos on her website then you need to be clear about that in the contract. Also as far as owning images, IMO think about what you are going to do with the photos, would you want to hang one on your wall, or is it only for a book for your FI? If all you wanted to do is get a book, then I say go for it. It seems like a decent price, if it includes the hotel room.

I'm actually traveling to CA in May to visit Jess and Rebecca and take photos of their babies. I can't wait, plus they are dear friends of mine. :-)
  17. It's funny Morgan, I have been thinking of Tag lines for a few weeks now and then I seen Jasmine's post and it really made me realize I need to get one narrowed down. I like the moments between the shots the most. the ones that your aren't expecting.. KWIM?
  18. Happy Birthday Julie, how you have a fab. day.
  19. Hello my fellow BDW ladies and gents. :-) We have so many fun and creative people on this forum, so I thought I would ask you for your help. When I was creating my photography website, I completely over looked the idea of adding a tag line to my business name. So over the past couple weeks I have been trying to come up with one, well I hit a brick wall. I've seen some awesome tag lines from other photographers, one of my favs that I have seen is "Lifestyle photography for Fabulous People". I was wondering if you guys would help me come up with a tag line for my website? Please? Pretty Please, with suger on top? :-)
  20. I totally think you should do it. Even more so since it's your first child. I think having photos of when you are pregnant on the babies room is something you'll charish forever. I'm sure there are photographers in your area that would do a great job. :-)

    Hello!

I feel your pain, I remember when my hubby and I thought "oh is should be so much easier planning a DW" well I quickly learned that wasn't the case, you have a totally different type of stress. BUT the good thing is that you found this forum, and it was a life savor for me, as I assume it will be for you as well. Good luck and congrats on your upcoming wedding.
  22. I did not invite the officiant to our reception, only because the ceremony was like 15 minutes long and I really didn't see the point. My WC was at my reception.
  23. Congrats on your upcoming wedding. We have a wonderful group of people on the forum that can assist in your planning. Good luck. :-)
