  1. If they want to invite them, I would just say something like "thanks for offering to throw the party, but I'll just find another place, I want this to be a joyful day. It's your day, and don't do anything you won't feel comfortable doing.
  2. Hi Linda, congrats on your engagement and welcome to the forum. You'll love it here, we have such a wonderful group of people that will help in your planning process.
  3. what was the title of the thread, and I can see if I can find it for you.
  4. I would think that since you both have different vendor accounts, you would need to pay accordingly.
  5. Great review and thank you for sharing. I was also married at the Sheraton, had Maye as my WC and used Sweet Dreams for our cake vendor. And I totally agree with all your comments there. Congrats and wishing you a long, happy marriage.
  6. If your looking for a TA, I would highly recommend contacting "Tammy Host" on our forum. She is awesome and several girls on the forum has used her. Best of luck and Happy planning
  7. Hi Tiffany and congrats on your engagement and upcoming wedding. The forum is a great resourse for planning a wedding, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Best of luck to you and your FI.
  8. Has your mom seen photos of TTD? I say if it's something you really want to do, then do it. Maybe once she sees how beautiful they are, she will be more open to the idea. Plus it's not really "Trashing" the dress, it will clean up just like new, so maybe explain that to her as well. Best of luck to you.
  9. Hi Karina and welcome to the forum. I love Maui, such a beautiful location for a wedding. Congrats and let us know if you have any questions.

Hi Nancy and welcome to the forum. If you have any questions, were here to help.
  11. Hello and welcome to the forum. Wow your not kidding, your getting married in less then a month. Best of luck to you and congrats on your fast approaching wedding. :-)
  12. I would have LOVED to do TTD pictures, I just love the "feel" of them. However it just wasn't in our budget. I to this day wish I would have skipped something else and done them, but whats done is done. As long as you stay true to yourself, then I think you'll be happy. If you really don't think it's something you want to do, then don't. :-)
  13. Jaime you going to have a beautiful wedding, and I can't beleive after all this time, it's almost here. :-) I'm a little confused by your thread title, are you looking for feedback on photographer's? Or just experiences with the one you hired?
  14. Hi Karla, I think the packages will very depending on the photographer. For example some may charge 8-10K, while others may only charge slightly above cost of travel. The advantage of bringing your own photographer would be that you usually get more for your money. Most DW photographers will stay for 2-3 days so they are there for pre wedding activities, all day wedding coverage as well as a TTD session the day after. With local photographers, you usually pay for packages. so it's usually a certain number of hours of coverage and such. I' am not familiar with the local photographer at your location, but that doesn't mean they won't give you great photos. Tt's really a personal choice. Best of luck, and happy planning. I'd suggest that you send the photographers an email that you are interested in.
  15. I agree with Trish. I think it really depends on your personal style, I have seen some amazing photos from both studio and hotel location. Yes lighting is perfect (in most cases) in a studio, but you are limited to what you can do, but that doesn't mean you still can't walk away with some great photos. With a hotel you have a little more varity in your photos, but that doesn't mean one way is better then the other. It's all a personal choice and I'm sure they will turn out beautiful regardless which one you choose.
  16. Hello and welcome to the forum. You shouldn't have any problems getting everything booked within the next 3 months. I know there are a few things you might need to secure really soon, since your getting married during the popular wedding season. Best of luck and let us know how we can help.
  17. Hmm, I can't really think of a BD photographer in your area. You might want to consider contacting some local photographer's that you like and inquire if they do BD sessions. Most photographers don't advertise that they do BD. So it might be worth checking into, I'm sure if they do, they can send you some sample photos or direct you to a location were you can view some past photos.
  18. Hello Tisha and welcome to the forum. First congrats on your recent engagement. A DW wedding can be done at a very reasonable price, I think you just have to start by coming up with a budget and then seeing what you can do for that. If you have any specific questions, let us know and we'll try to help. Happy planning
