  1. OH CRAP.. I just went to weather dot com and it said the sunset time for June 5th 2007 is 7:03... My ceremony is at 6:30, Juan told me it should be around 8:00.... Is this right?
  2. hmmmm wonder if he will do just an hour....
  3. Yeah easy for you, you have over 10k in the bank.. lol..
  4. Sarah, I know I feel like everything is an uphill battle. Hmm going to vegas and getting married is looking more and more like something I would like.. lol..
  5. I have a question for the ones that did the legal ceremony in Cabo. I received the Judge's questioner and it asks to list both the B & G's parents. Cain has no idea who his Father is nor does ANYONE talk about it in their family (don't know why but it's a BIG no, no) I asked the WC if it would be a problem to list the father as "unknown" but I'm still waiting in her response (she tends not to answer me if she has to THINK about something or research it) AND because I'm going to the site visit with Cain's MA and I can't bring it up. Do you guys happen to know if we will run into a problem? If we do then we'll be forced to get married in the states first.

Welcome Jennifer, can't wait to hear more details of your wedding.
  7. For those of you who did a site visit, how long did you give each vendor? I'm trying to make the most of my time but I dont' know how many hours to put down for each.. Any advise?
  8. Tammy, neither do I.. I'm still hoping that they pull through in the end. But I'm loosing hope.. Maybe things will change once I do the site visit.
  9. Were having a legal wedding in Cabo, since our wedding is so small we wanted it to be the actual thing.
  10. Welcome, feel free to ask questions this board will help you a lot with planning your DW wedding.
  11. I received this hotel information from Kashmire, for the Sharaton and Melia San Lucas. Were doing our site visit in Cabo on Nov. 14 -16, were also going to visit Villa Del Palmar because were staying there for our wedding. 12. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. I'm like you, I don't like to fight with people, BUT I'm sure my FMIL will be ticking me off and I'll be in the mood for an arguement,, lol.. Plus her and I are alot alike so but the difference is that she doesn't have a problem telling peopl what she things.. so maybe she will tell her off for me.. :-)
  13. I actually already said something to her that I know of some other brides that are having a legal ceremony and are allowed to say their own vows. All she said is "It has to be exactly as the judge says it for a legal wedding" I just think she's too lazy to look into it more. Hmmm Maybe when I'm there for our site visit I'll press the issue.. Hmm maybe we should have a bet to see if I leave their without smacking her around. lol
  14. Shoot, I guess my plan of not playing much and still thinking I'm going to win isn't going to work out.. I raise you your three tickets, to 5.. lol
  15. Awesome advise Natasha, THANKS.. Please pass on any other information you can think of. I would LOVE for Cain to go, but since Marty is getting free airline tickets (she has to be one of the travelers) then I'm pretty much stuck with her. We tired to get 3 tickets so that Cain could go, and just enjoy his time off work and surf, but FMIL could only get two tickets, so he'll be stuck home watching the dogs. I was planning on visiting the resorts located around Villa Del Palmar and Melia San Lucas to check on dinner pricing (only about 10 guests coming to Cabo) I'm really looking for a romantic yet fun place to have our dinner, and of course a place with good food. Question: Since we are having a small wedding, we weren't planning on limiting what our guests choice of meals would be, do you think I can still negotiate the rate?
  16. Not sure if anyone posted more pics of the this place, but since we'll be there for two days I'll get some shots and post after our site visit.
  17. I'm kindof upset I heard that for a legal wedding the judge allows you to write in your own vows, but our WC said no. UGH.. I'm sure she said no because she doesn't want to spend an extra 5 minutes at the ceremony. So I will write can a note for him to read before he heads off to the ceremony.
  18. Yeah funny..... Let see if we both make it back alive.. lol
  19. Omg I'm the same way,, I'm like well I'll loose points and I don't want to waste them.. Ummm yeah, what I'm I really going to buy with my points.. LOL
  20. I think we'll check out the resort spa and maybe a couple activites if we have the time. Cain's not coming with.. :-((( We need someone at home taking care of the 4 dogs.. Plus his Ma can only get two tickets and Cain said he doesn't want to meet with all the vendors in fear that he might make a bad decision.. lol.. Smart man.. lol..
  21. lol, at this rate your going to be richer then Tammy soon.. :-)
  22. Good tip on the stylist/spa Janet. I'll have to check that part out, it would relieve a TON of stress if I knew I liked what they did. Plus Cain's Ma speaks spanish so there will be no language barrier. I was hoping I would catch a wedding while I'm there but I know it was a stretch.. :-) WHy don't you postpone your wedding for a couple of days.. lol.. J/K
  23. WOW, ok so if were not big drinkers then that saves us some money their, but WOW I didn't expect the meals to be that much. Karla I'm with you, time to stess out the FI..
  24. Hi everyone, I think I'm going to do a site visit next month. Cain's Ma has a good chance on getting free airfare tickets (she's a corporate TA and gets two tickets a year and never used hers this year) She was also making some calls yesterday and got a killer rate on the Sheraton for two nights, (cheaper then staying at a resort in downtown) The only catch, she has to travel with me,, UGH and if anyone has heard all my stories about the trouble with her lately you can see why it's a bit stressful. BUT I'm going to have to bite me tongue and deal with it because I think it would really help me in finalizing our vendors. SO, I'm now in a panic mode of trying to list out all the vendors I want to talk to in the very short amount of time we will be there. Flower cart & other flower vendors (pricing on flowers and canopy rental) Wedding coordinator (I may just smack her around a little in hopes she starts working for me) :-) Melia San Lucas (check out site and secure our dinner reservations and wedding night suite) Villa Del Palmar (check out hotel and grounds) Pedregal Beach (view with WC on where the ceremony will be held) I'm going to be checking the previous site visit thread in hopes to get a good list of questions for each of my vendors, but if anyone can think of some things for me I would appreciate it. BTW do you think I should set up a meeting with Juan our photographer? We talked on the phone and over email, and he's great so I don't know if I need to meet him or should we just meet up to actually meet face to face before the wedding?
