OMG, maybe you are the one other person that the nail salon was talking about. My hands are super dry as well. Maybe I'll do a trial of fake nails to see if it will take.

Hmm It's been awhile since I looked at it, but from what I remember it's a true blue.. kind of "ocean" blue. It's really cute. I'll take a picture of it when I get home (if I remember to) and post it. It comes on a long stem so that you can stick it in your bouquet. Jess, no need to send me money for it, really it's not big deal.. Remind me before I leave for cabo (just in case I forget) so that I remember to give it to Maye..

The baker in Cabo (Sweet dreams) makes the candies. She does a varity of white chocolate seashells. I was just going to bring the orchids.

Yeah,, I just wonder if one flower would look to bare on the top... what about a pretty starfish candy laying up against the side of the cake and then the flower on the top?

I want to do acrylics, however my fingers (where my nails are) looks like they were ran over by a car because they are flat, so I don't think the acrylics would "stick" to them. unless they use a filler. Seriously girls my nails are so ugly, I had a guy in highschool (ok it was highschool but still) that wouldn't date me because he didn't like my hands, and when I got married (granted YEARS ago) the nail tech said she only seen one other girl with nails like mine.. :-((((( I want those pretty hand shots but I'm so afraid that they will look horrible, plus I crack my knuckles so I have their big.. Ohh I know,, Glenda since your crashing my wedding anyway,, do you want to by my "hand" model.. :-) Or Jess maybe you can arrive in cabo a little early and be my hand model..

Ok girls,, I have the worst nails ever. They are thin, brittle and I can't grow them too long or else they start growing wierd. My cuticals also need some work. SO my questions is,,,, how long do you think it will take me to get my nails in good shape for the wedding? OR how many trips to the salon will I need to make?

I've been totally avoiding this thread... I haven't worked out in so long.. I have 3 1/2 months until my wedding.. I seriously need to find the time or is it stop finding excuses.... :-)

Nope, their actually individual cakes. either a single layer or one tier. I really like the look of the one tier but they are 25.00 each, so I'm more then likely going to go with the single layer. They are about 5-6 inches round and about 3 inches high (from what I remember when I seen them)

Not at all. I think it's nice of you, but with that said, just make sure you talk to them first. Maybe planning something for you would be a good way for them to not think about their own home stuff that is going on.

Ok, I think I have changed my mind about a million times on my cake. I'm still doing individual cakes, but because I'm trying to cut back on my budget I'm thinking of ways to save where ever I can. SO I purchased some fake P. (something) orcids, (they look awesome and real) SO I was going to put one on each cake. (I think) so I was wondering, would you just leave it at one P. Orchid on each cake or add a starfish candy to the top as well? I still haven't decided if I want the cake white or choc. I just wish I knew someone who could draw up a picture of many different designs so that I could see what it looked like..

Awesome, My wedding band just came in yesterday and I must have put in one about a dozen times.. LOL... Cain won't let me show him how it looks together finished (it was a costom band) until his puts in on my finger on our wedding day..... lol

LOL,, Ok Jen I'll tell my story.. However please know everyone that If you have a ring like this (and I don't recall if anyone does) please don't be offended to what I'm about to say. Cain's aunt got engaged about 3 months prior to me, she thinks her ring is the best thing ever created. Now for her I'm happy that she's happy... But fast forward 3 months to when Cain and I got engaged, she seen my ring for the first time and said "I like my better".. I had to fight keeping my claws in and not saying something to her.... Her E-ring is a right hand ring, it has 4 quarter carat diamonds that make up the top stone, and because of the setting it "looks" bigger then it actually is. Plus her ring size if a 3 1/2 so the thing looks huge on her... But the ring only cost them $1700.00. Now again I'm glad she likes her ring, but who is she to tell others that their ring isn't as nice when in all actually my ring is worth much more then hers. (see told you it would sound like I was a b*tch) I love my ring, and I know there will always be people out there with less expense ones and people with more expense ones. WHO CARES.. What's important is that the person who is wearing the ring likes it. Shoot when I got engaged the first time (when I was 19) I was proposed to with a 1/4 carat ring on a plain band. I was married for 5 years before it was upgraded, but that's all he could afford and I wore it with pride. Some people are so flippin competitive that they try to make you feel less of a person if you don't have something like thiers.... Ok,, sorry didn't mean to make this a rant,
