I did one of those spray on tans and they do rub off on your clothes, so IMO I wouldn't get it done if you fear it getting on your dress.

Yes Cain is ok with me still talking to my ex-inlaws.. However he doesn't like that when he sees my ex-MIL that she always says that she wishes I was marrying into her family again. But I know she means no harm by it, it just puts Cain in a weird spot. which I also understand. My ex,, well he doesn't have great luck with women,, lol however he is dating someone now that we (his Mom and I) are hoping turns into something special.. He's never been the type to have the girl meet his family until "she's the one" so my ex-MIL is waiting for the phone call to say "lets do lunch" or something.

I say do whatever you can afford. It's the thought that counts not the amount of money that you spend. I'm in a similar situation, I have cain's aunt's wedding in May, and all our money is going towards our wedding right now.. So I'm doing a gift for them as a personal gift versus what they registered for. Besides the only reason the registered is to replace stuff that they don't need.. So I figured it would be ok if I wanted to get creative..

I feel bad, because I know how bad my ex-inlaws loved me (still does) but at the same time I know it's hard for them to see me getting married again. I think they always hoped that my ex and I would get back together once my ex worked out all his problems. I think it will be even harder on them when and if I ever have a baby. I know they are happy for me, shoot they even offered to throw me a shower.

OMG our divorce was very friendly, even the day of our divorce, we went to court and then went out to dinner and went to the casino. He's a nice guy, just had some personal issues he needed to deal with and we got married WAY to young so he was always more of a friend then anything else. I love his parents, and I still stay in contact with them and my ex. When I asked my ex-MIL for a picture she replied "are you trying to make me cry, that was such a happy time in my life". She said she will always consider me as her only daughter.... She's had a lot of rough times over the years, shoot even to this day it seems like a black cloud is alwasy over her head. But we were always able to make each other laugh, which I think is the reason why we were so close..

Janet, I'm trying to see if I can have my ex-MIL or ex-husband scan one in for me. I gave them all the wedding pictures.

Christine, I'm a little disappointed you didn't keep your Mom's dress as well, would have been a great photo of you in it to share with us.. :-)

That's why I saved mine for all those years as well. When I was in third grade our house burnt down two days after Christmas, so I wanted to donate my dress to a fire victim that was a couple that was planning on getting married. Well, as the years went by, and the dress got older and older I realized who in their right mind would want to wear such a dated dress.. that's when I decided to just donate it and be done with it. BTW, what day in November did you get married?

ROFL.. Your wedding dress looks SOOO much like mine did then.. OMG... how funny.. Do you have a good pic of the back of your dress?? I actually still had my old wedding dress up until a couple of years ago, I ended up donating it to the salvation army..

OK Ann what did you do.. Talk about being a tease we can't see your pics.. OMG this is torture.... BTW, you won't believe this,, but my first marriage I was married in November as well, 11-12-93 to be exact...

Our wedding colors are ivory, olive green and a touch of blue.. Cain's wedding shirt is ivory, the pash's that Glenda found are olive green, I have green C. Orchids and ivory roses in my bouquet. Pretty much everything is either ivory or green. The blue will be our cake (Cain's idea, don't get me started in it :-)

Well I know what "not" to wear.. A thong.. I was so embarssed getting help changing with my whiter then white @$$ showing for them to see. I should have wore boy shorts.. But I wore a normal bra.. when you actually order your dress you want to make sure you have all your stuff before you first dress fitting.

how sad.. Christa I'm sorry for you and your Mom.. But at least he is no longer in pain..

Well good, be sure to write up a review on VDP when you get back.. That why I know more about it.. :-) You know what, I haven't assigned Cain any tasks for the wedding. Hmmm what can I give him to do that I won't try to control.. Hmmm have to think of something..
