The good thing about DW is that anything goes, some people like to plan far in advance while others just nail down the details a few months before their wedding. I'd lock in the big items soon, IE resort, dress, photographer and wedding location. This forum has a ton of great advise, so you can even start there. Happy planning

When I got married we did "first look" photos before the ceremony, it was so great to actually be allowed to kiss and hug each other when we seen each other for the first time. And like someone else mentioned that would live you with more time after the ceremony to spend with your family and friends.

Hello Stephine, and welcome to the forum. When I first joined I wasn't engaged either, I just wanted to get a head start. ;-) We have many brides on here that are or was getting married in Jamaica, so I' am sure those threads will help in your planning process.

We have several photographers on the forum, most of which are actually from the states. What's nice about flying in your photographer, is that you usually get more bang for your buck. For example, when I got married I hired a local photographer and paid $400.00 an hour for him, where most photographers have one price and will shoot, a pre wedding event, all day wedding coverage and usually a TTD or day after shoot, all for one set price.

Hi Megan, have you thought about contacting one of our TA on the forum? We have one that actually specializes in Cabo. I got married at the Sheraton, stayed there two nights and the remaining vacation we stayed at Villa Del Palmar for a very reasonable price, plus it was really close to town so taking a cab was a breeze. I would still invite your friends and family, they will decide if it's too expensive for them, you might be surprised and how many people will go there for a family vacation.
