Well just to give you girls an update, I talked it over with Cain and were driving to Chicago on the 7th to get this sh*t taken care of. Since they can't say for certain that I'll have it back in time, we think this will be the best way to go, that way I have it in my hand and I can verify that it's correct. The part that sucks is that we will still have many family members still in town from Missy's wedding so we won't be able to spend as much time with them. But this is the only day we could squeeze it in.

Well, after being on hold with the passport company for over an hour. here are my choices.. 1. mail it back, put "urgant passport re-write", and they will do their best to get it back to me as soon as they can. 2. Drive to Chicago and have them process it. OMG,, I seriously need a drink I'am so stressed.. We have family coming in next week for Missy's weeding, I have appointments every day next week, and most of the following.. That leaves tomorrow or the Monday after Missys wedding to drive to Chicago and back in one day so that I'm home on Tuesday for another appointment.

did you go back and fourth with her in email today? They NEVER answer my emails..

What date and what time.. Look like we both may not have a choice..

I know Sarah I'm seriously so tired of all the problems. The only way they are helping me out now is that I tell them that since I'm getting married in Mexico they require copies a month in advance or order to process the legal paperwork. AND THANKGOD they expidited the passport to me the first time I talked to them because I wasn't suppose to get it until mid May, and it would have come in misspelled and wrong DOB... What a freaking PITA.. Let this be a lesson to EVERYONE getting married out of the country.. FILE EARLY.. at least 6 months that way you have plenty of time to take care of all these problems if they come up

I would think so.. I mean Maybe not if I wasn't getting married but they need it in Mexico..

I've tried to call the passport agency but the lines are busy and the recording hangs up on me... I've read online that they correct it with no fee. BUT I have to get ahold of them which is a HUGE PITA.. So you have to order a new passport for Paul and expidite it?

AGH.. I swear I have the worst luck.. SO after calling the passport company to a passport update and finding out they spelling my name wrong they said it would be corrected.. well I got it in today, yes my name is spelled correct.. BUT the have the F*in Date of birth wrong.. They transposed the numbers... I just tired calling them and they phone lines are hanging up on me because their too busy... OMG I'm seriously going to burst at the seams from being stressed out..

Your ring is so beautiful. About 5 years ago I was dating a different person and we walked by a store that had a yellow diamond in the window, I had to go see it up close, it was a 5 carat center stone with a one carat trinity cut white diamond on either side but OMG it was stunning. Yeah well that was a dream ring, we would be living out of our car to afford a ring that big.. lol.. but ever since then I LOVE yellow diamonds. your a lucky girl.

Welcome, I joined the forum before I was actually engaged as well. Have you thought about what type of wedding you guys want? Ie beach, AI resort, etc.

I agree with my sis Ann.. Cain and I choose a DW because we knew we wanted to be married on the beach, and we wanted it at a place that neither of us had been before and a place that was beautiful. Plus I had NO desire to get married in our local town, too much drama to deal with and it just wasn't something that Cain and I ever considered, if we couldn't afford a DW we would have gotten married in Vegas or at our local court house.

I was actually going to put tissue in my purse and have Missy hold onto it for me, or maybe have Cain put some in his pant pockets Knowing my luck if I put it down the front of my dress some would be hanging out in all of my pictures.. lol

lol.. that's ok Christa, hopefully I'll be having so much fun as well that I won't remember either afterwards. :-)
