Great Review Erica, Dreams is such a wonderful resort to get married at. I can't wait to go there on vacation in June. :-) You looked beautiful and everything looks like it turned out fabulous. Congrats.

Hi Chelle, welcome to the forum and congrats on your upcoming wedding. The good thing is that in most cases DW's can be planned in a few short months. We have some great travel agents on the forum that can work with you on you and your families budget, once you have a location down, I'd book the vendors that book up quickly, IE resort and photographer. This is a great forum with a ton of useful information on it. I' am sure you'll love it here, I was a destination bride as well, and this forum was a huge help.

Honestly, this is pretty much how most photographers handle their business. As long as you have a signed contract, I wouldn't worry about not getting your images. I guess if you still wanted peace with it, you could check online to see if anyone has complained about not receiving their images in time. Just an FYI, it takes a very long time to edit weddings, I always tell my clients it can take as long as 3 months. Even though I usually have them done way before then.

I think it's a great idea. Are you doing a TTD session? You don't always have to go in the ocean for those, many couples choose to do shots as you mentioned instead, and they are always fabulous
