  1. OK so I wanted to add a couple more comments.. So I ordered a few prints that were the same pictures as Juan sent me, I did this for two reasons ok three.. 1. To test how the black and whites printed since I wasn't totally happy with the Pictage ones in B&W 2. To compare the color on the color ones 3. Because I just accidently ordered the same ones.. lol So after comparing picture to picture, I would say hands down the black and white ones are by are better with MPix. Now the color ones are about 50/50. I think it would just depend of how you want to see the picture. Ok that doesn't really make since.. Hmmm, Ok the color of Pictage is richer, where on Mpix it's crisper... I hope that better expains it. On some pictures I could see how "richser or crisper would look better" So over all if your ordering color prints I really don't think you would tell much of a difference unless you are looking at them side by side. Mpix tends to blend more "white" in their pictures to give that crisp look were as Pictage blends more darker hues for a darker tone. (OK I think I'm just repeating myself now.. lol) SO my finial thoughts... For Black and white, definitly Mpix. For color, if you want a real "Rich" looking picture then spend the extra money on Pictage. I Do feel that Mpix are more true to color then Pictage, but sometimes a richer looking picture would show better in a garden view picture.
  2. I thought to write up a quick review of these two photo printing companies. Pictage; B Juan uses for his printing of proofs, when I got them in the color was very good and over all I would say I'm pleased with the result of the pictures, however my only complient is that on the black and white ones where Juan took pictures where my face was 1/2 shadowed (black) the black part of the pictures were spotty. I wasn't sure if it was the way the picture turned out of the printing.. On the color prints the colors tend to be ture colors but a darker hues of colors. (if that makes since) MPix; A+ LOVE LOVE LOVE, the way they turned out.. Very true color, crisp looking not one problem with any of the pictures.. I will be definitly using this company for all my enlargements and printing in the future. Best part a 4x6 is only 29cents versus pictages charges $7.00 for the same 4x6. So to sum it up girls, save your cash and use Mpix, much cheaper you won't be disappointed.. I promise you
  3. Awesome deal.. Can't wait for you to get it and post pictures of it on..
  4. Do you want me to change this thread to a sticky? and title change it to "post your center piece ideas"
  5. Very cute, my BF would love those, she is just now starting to plan her wedding for next summer. You should totally do your own invites, yes it's alot of work but I think they turn out really well.

  7. A weekend Birthday is always the best ones. Have a great birthday..
  8. I think the people who hired someone to take the TTD pictures had their photographer for 1.5 - 2 hours.
  9. Amazing pictures as always Leigh. I have to admit, I've never been a big fan of wedding dresses in a different color but I have to say that bride really pulled it off and she looked stunning.

Right now I have been e-mailing with Coleen at bajawedding so we are just waiting for prices and food options before we pick a location and date. Thanks again for all the warm welcomes! I stayed at Villa Del Palmar and the Sheraton for our wedding (the full week at VDP and two night at the Sheraton for our wedding) So let me know if you have any questions about either resort
  11. You know what I almost did? Get an accent color purse, IE say if your wedding colors are blue and white, get a purse in blue instead of the traditional white. I loved my purse but I still kindof wish I would have gotten the green one I found, I think it would have been fun in pictures.
  12. You know I can't remember, but I think I did take my Marriage license and birth certificate with me. I never changed my name back to my maiden name so I had to prove who I was. Even more of an issue when I had to change my DL over to my married name, they wanted proof I was married, then divorced then married again..
  13. I loved shopping for dresses, I think once you are actually out there trying them on it gets even more fun.. And if you totally hate it, just for the fun of it try on dresses you HATE and would never see yourself in, that way you get a good laugh or maybe you'll find the dress of your dreams that way.
  14. Yeap I think almost all the brides I've talked to had second thoughts at one point or another before they wedding came along. Some people actually ended up getting a second or third dress, while most others ended up wearing their first choice and LOVED it. I had 2nd thoughts as well, but in the end I totally loved my dress and glad I stuck with it.
  15. Tammy, you are going to loose all that baby weight very fast, shoot doesn't most women gain the most weight in their last month? Jackson is going to be here before you know it, and like back in the day when you were waiting on Juans pictures and just wanted them to "come in already" but once you got them you were thrilled and forgot all about how long it took. That will be the same with Jackson, once he's here you won't care about all this stuff and won't be able to keep your eyes off him. :-)
  16. 9 WORDS WOMEN USE 1. Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. 2. Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a 1/2 hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. 3. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine. 4. Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It! 5. Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.) 6. That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. 7. Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. 8. Whatever: Is a women's way of saying F**k YOU! 9. Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?" For the woman's response refer to #3.
  17. We already have at least one other thread on hair.. Check it out, maybe you'll have some luck. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...your-hair.html
  18. Let me know if you need help. I can always add a poll to a thread after you create it.
  19. I got married at the Sheraton, but we had our ceremony on the beach in front of De Cortez and ate at De Cortez. However with that said, during my site visit we did eat at Pitahayas, and it was really good, we also took some pictures by the rocks on the beach in front of Pitahayas. If you look under my sig pic I have a link to our wedding slideshow. Let me know if you have any questions.
  20. How did you find out about their special? I can't see anything about it online.
  21. How are you feeling now that your down to the wire? Jackson should be here soon.
  22. *** UPDATE *** OK so I went online to the place my sister ordered our wedding album from, and I just found out that the album only holds 120 4x6 images or 60 5x7 images. OK so Juan sent me 167 proofs and I ordered over 100 more. SO now their is no way I can do all my proofs in one album.. Should I use the album to showcase our wedding ceremony and such and then do a coffee table book of just Cain and I? Or do you guys have another suggestion?
  23. Congrats on your wedding, have a great time and enjoy every minute of it.
