Gosh there are so many amazing resorts in Cabo. I was also had budget issues when I was getting married. I had a very small guest list (8 people) so I ended up staying at Villa Del Palmer and had my wedding / reception at the Sheraton. The Sheraton isn't AI, so it was pretty easy to plan a wedding there and have the guest come in for the day. Some of our guests stayed at RIU. With all that said, Tammy host (in the banner ontop of this site) specializes in Cabo, as a travel agent. If you don't have a TA yet, I would recommed that you contact her, I' am sure she can tell you what your options are, that fit within your budget. Sometimes working with someone that knows the vendors in that area give you a little extra advantage. Best of luck and I' am sure you'll find a great resort. ;-)

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your upcoming wedding. I love Riviera Maya and tulum area. I think the closer you get to the Tulum area, the nicer the water / beach is. I only mention this if you were thinking about doing a TTD. But regardless what you choose I' am sure it will be stunning, I heart Mexico. ;-)

Yes this is very true. WHen I was planning my cabo wedding I found that if you mention your wedding date (for me is was several months away) they won't even respond. They do everything like 2 months before (well except the big items, IE photographer, resort, etc) I ended up hiring a WC, because they know everyone there and can deal with all that stuff for you. But with all that said, like someone else mentioned we have so much information on the cabo area on the forum already, so hopefully those thread will help answer your questions.

Great siggy's ladies, keep them coming

Well it's that time again that we switch up our siggy. I was trying to think of something we can do that would be a fun way to represent the month of March, so of course I was thinking about St. Patricks day. So for this month, lets see photos of you out enjoying yourself in a true St. Patrick sort of way. :-) For those of you that don't drink, I have a solution for you as well. "Go Green" So either create a siggy with the color green or maybe even a photo that has green as the main color.

I would totally NOT tell them what you are doing. Many of the hotels won't let you have a session there if you tell them, or will let you do it but charge you MUCH more. Whenever I do a photo session, I just book the room and leave it at that. Another option is to get a few girls together to do your session, and have them split the cost of the room for the night.

I have had clients that did both, if they told him they would ask what styles he would like, IE pin up, typical or outside with a bike or car. (if he's into that) Maybe you can throw the idea around or show him some photos and see if it sparks some interest?

This resort is nothing short of amazing, I just returned from there and not only is the grounds beautiful, but the food was great as well. I stayed at the Palace, I didn't run into any vendors solicating me like you'll find at other destination wedding locations, that was actually a major plus for me, and it's only a short trolly ride to one of the other Barcelo resorts to do some decent amount of shopping or dining. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. :-)
