  2. I found my wedding shoes at DSW. I also love shopping for shoes at Zappos (as Janet suggested). The free shipping both ways makes it virtually risk free. Amazon.com also has great prices on shoes these days. Anyway, here is a similar pic of mine. Mine have ankle straps instead of slingback. The heel is a little shorter (about 1.5 in) and are called Caparros Glow in white shimmer.
  3. We choose Cabo because we wanted to get married at the beach. We wanted a "different" kind of wedding, something that would be unique and memorable. We've both never been to Cabo, so we're thinking of it as an adventure. When we were choosing a location, hurricane's in Cancun and such stuck out in our minds as well which is why we avoided that side of Mexico. Our family is spread out all over the US, so we figured if everyone had to fly anyway we might as well go to the beach. Go CABO!
  4. We're glad to help! What's not to like? It's simple and pretty....
  5. We got my FI a black Calvin Klein suit & a yellow tie from Brooks Brothers. The groomsman & ushers will wear black suits and green ties from Brooks Brothers. The groom and groomsman will wear green lien Tommy Bahama shirts at the reception. The ushers will wear the same shirt in yellow. GroomGM.pdf GroomGM.pdf

  7. We're doing tropical pink & yellow for our colors with starfish as the theme. Accent colors are palm tree green and ocean blue. The bridesmaid dresses are bright pink. The flower girl dress is white with pink corset ribbons on the sides (coordinates with the corset style on my dress). The ring bearer is wearing a white shirt, dark pants, and yellow tie. The groom is wearing a black suite, white shirt, and yellow tie to church. The groomsmen all have green ties. For the reception, the guys will wear linen shirts from Tommy Bahama. I'm really trying to allow the beauty of Cabo & the ocean be the focal point for my decor (read: minimal decor). Here's my monogram that I will be using on invites & other paper stuff, I use it to keep me focused when I'm deciding on other things involving color: GREAT monogram!

He found a place that will charge us $10 per person (including gratruity), which is the cheapest we've found. We were being quoted as much as $22 per person when we started. Anyway, the ocntact info may help... 15. Ok, here's my invitation. I loved the texture of the shells on the paper. We used 2 fonts to make it easier to read. My invitations were a family affair. My sister did the calligraphy. My brother designed the map. I designed the information card. My best friend and I created the rehearsal dinner inviitations and stuffed envelopes. It was a group effort to get all 100 invitations out the door. WeddingInvitation_MurilloEick_ElectronicVersion_FinalReduced.pdf WeddingInvitation_MurilloEick_ElectronicVersion_FinalReduced.pdf
  16. KarlaV, those are both SO pretty, but look very expensive. Tammy, I loved your whole personalized theme - very cute!
  17. You just reminded me. Some of my family is staying in Cabo at a timeshare place after the wedding. I better make sure it's not PB Rose. I love them, but don't want to spend my honeymoon with them!
  18. The Bungalows looks great, but we're looking for someplace on the beach. Thanks Janet!
  19. I got a bunch of lingerie and regular gifts at my shower. Here are just a few of the items i got... I have 2 sets of the panties. One says "I Do." The other says "bride."
  20. i like the single layer mini cake with green - very cute!

The only thing that may not be good for the honeymoon is that all rooms are double beds only. I believe that you can get the beds made into one big bed, but you may want to call the hotel to make sure. Also I believe the Blanco next door to the Rose is supposed to be a bit more quiet and intimate. But the room configurations are the same. If you decide to stay at either one, definitely let's plan to meet up and say hello! We will be at the Rose Nov 1st through the 5th. I would love to meet you!! Yes, I finally took honeymoon matters into my own hands. I'm too much of a control freak. Anyway, thanks for the tips Karla - very helpful. I think we're going to go ahead and book PB Rose. We leave Thursday, 11/02 - early afternoon. Maybe we CAN meet up. It would be nice to meet you too!
  22. We're staying in Cabo for 4 days after the wedding for our honeymoon. We're staying at Hilton in the Corridor for the wedding, so I want to move into Cabo for the honeymoon for a change of scenery. Anyone know anything good about Pueblo Bonito Rose? Or, can you strongly suggest any other hotels in Cabo that are within walking distance of the action? I looked at Melia also, but it seems like too much of a party atmosphere for us.
