Yes, I was a little starfish and corset happy. I wanted everything to tie together. I ordered my starfish boquet jewel off e-bay and paid about $12 including shipping. I provided all of the ribbon to the florist and a picture of how I wanted the ribbon on my bouquet. My sister and I found the flower girl's dress together. My niece loves pink so she was over the moon about the pink corset ribbon and pink ballet shoes.

I ordered the starfish from US Shells (it's posted in another thread too) - white finger starfish, 3-4" http://store.usshell.com/whfist.html My bridesmaid Nancy and I glued magnets on the back. I cut the pink/yellow ribbon before I left and printed, cut, and hole-punched the name cards. The first night I arrived in Cabo Dave's sisters helped me tie the ribbon and the cards to the starfish. I didn't want anything to get squished on the plane. We rented the glass boxes from Fun & Motivation. I gave the starfish to Emeline (one zip-lock bag per letter of the alphabet). She filled the boxes with sand and then arranged the starfish in ABC order. It worked out as I had planned. When Katie got married at the Hilton in June, I believe her florist (Elena Damy) took care of everything for her regarding the starfish and boxes.

Pueblo Bonito Rose Review (MariaElena)

We ate at Mi Casa on Sunday night and enjoyed it. Monday - We went to Todos Santos so we didn't do Cabo. Tuesday - We took a glass bottom boat to Lover's beach / Land's end. We ate at the Sleepless Lobster (per your rec) and enjoyed it. We went to The Nowhere Bar, Giggling Marlin, and Cabo Wabo as well. I liked Giggling Marlin and Squid Roe better than Cabo Wabo Wednesday - We went to Playa Santa Maria (KM13 near Hotel Twin Dolphin) and enjoyed it. We ate dinner in SJD at Jazmin's and had a good Mexican meal. Thursday - we left. -
Pueblo Bonito Rose Review (MariaElena)

I couldn't agree more with the way you said it. It is hard to change hotels and compare them. I'll be around - don't worry! I want to hear about everyone else's big day too!!! -
We moved from the Hilton Los Cabo (tourist corridor) to the Pueblo Bonito Rose (in Cabo on Playa Medano) on Sunday afternoon. The Pueblo Bonito Rose is a very nice hotel. I would recommend it. Tammy (host) got us a great deal on the price. The hotel is indeed on a swimmable beach and a ten minute walk to town. A cab into town costs $6 if you’d rather not walk. While I really enjoyed the hotel, I admit that I liked the Hilton better. That’s sort of like comparing apples to oranges though since they’re in different locations and cater to a different crowd. I would say the PB Rose crowd is younger and includes more families. The Hilton crowd was a little older and more into relaxing than partying as much. The rooms at the PB rose have 2 double beds (no king beds) and the view was not as direct to the ocean. You could see the rock formations though and the water (at an angle). The pool is nice and large. The water seemed cooler than the ocean to me. The service at the pool was good. We got tickets for 4 welcome cocktails when we checked in. You can take a free shuttle to the other PB hotels during your stay. We were busy doing other things so we never did it. There is also more of a push for the timeshare presentations here. We avoided this. Time is our most precious resource. That’s just us though. The hotel has a nice deli where you can buy groceries and order deli sandwiches. We took advantage of this and bought milk for our cereal and juice that we already had. The rooms come with a large (almost full-size) refrigerator, dishes, silverware, pans, Tupperware, a microwave, stove, sink, soap, and dish towels. This was great for when we wanted to eat in and save money. The layout of this hotel isn’t quite as good as many hotels I’ve stayed at. You had a long walk to the elevator from our room. So, we usually took the stairs. We were on the 4th floor so this seemed not so fun at night when we were coming home tired (and possibly a little drunk) and had to climb the stairs up to our room. I can be a lazy bum though.

I probably won't be on the forum much until I get back from Cabo and post my review. I just wanted to say thanks for everyone's help and feedback. Also, I wanted to wish the following brides good luck and best wishes: 10/28 - Raina - Same date as me = YAY! 11/04 - Karla - I can't wait to see your pics and hear about your big day. Hopefully we'll run into each other at PB Rose! 11/11 - Janet & Meaghan - Good luck with everything! I can't wait to hear all about it. I should be on the forum before you leave, but this is just in case I miss telling you good luck! love, MariaElena

I like # 2 best since you used palm tress on your STDs. A helpful hint, the monograms with a lot of color work best on plain white paper items. I used colored/patterned paper for my reception and rehearsal menus and the palm tree (with so much color) did not look good. So, I would advise choosing one monogram with a white background if you're using any colored papers.

Not to scare you but not only did they show up with very little notice, but they also had nowhere to stay and expected us to house them. Which of course, were obligated to since they are family. Hispanic culture is very much like that, sorry to say! Luckily my mom told them that if they showed up to Cabo, they'd have to get hotel rooms... seriously, I wonder if without that warning they'd expect to stay with us?!? Just kidding! Oh... and if they do show up to the wedding, my advice to you is to have one person in charge of them arriving ON TIME. Are you used to "Hispanic time" yet? The whole family from California showed up to the church for my sister's wedding 30 mins late, and really thought they'd be "on time". They saw us walking out, they missed the whole thing! We had a family party for my FI and I this saturday at 6 PM.... EVERYBODY but my sister's inlaws showed up at 8:15 PM. I know this is probably nothing new to you.... but know what to expect to avoid the headaches! I've tried to break my parents out of the habit, and I have successfully reduced their tardiness to 30-60 mins. OMG that is a crazy story! I bullied my Mexican family into RSVPing. It was a pain, but it got done. Luckily, my brother got married in August so he already broke them in.
