  1. I voted "sure, why not," but that's kinda cheating because I know my FI is going to Charleston for the weekend with a few of his guy friends. His best man already assured me that they're too old for strip clubs. It doesn't really bother me though. I trust him. I just don't want to hear any questionable details.
  2. These are the last 3 files. These are documents and prices I used for planning my Hilton wedding. I hope the information proves helpful.... You can use the excel file to enter the number of people you'll have and manipulate a budget. Yes, I'm a spreadsheet nerd!
  3. These are documents and prices I used for planning my Hilton wedding. I hope the information proves helpful.... The first 5 of 8 files are posted in this message. I'll post the rest in a new message. Reducing files to fit the attachment parameters is tough. 02_Hlton_IxchelSpa_2006Prices.pdf 03_Hilton_2006EntertainmentPrices_MusicFireworksPhotography.pdf 04_Hilton_2006WeddingMenus_01_AmenitiesBrunch.doc 05_Hilton_2006WeddingMenus_02_PlatedDinner.doc 02_Hlton_IxchelSpa_2006Prices.pdf 03_Hilton_2006EntertainmentPrices_MusicFireworksPhotography.pdf 04_Hilton_2006WeddingMenus_01_AmenitiesBrunch.doc 05_Hilton_2006WeddingMenus_02_PlatedDinner.doc 02_Hlton_IxchelSpa_2006Prices.pdf 03_Hilton_2006EntertainmentPrices_MusicFireworksPhotography.pdf 04_Hilton_2006WeddingMenus_01_AmenitiesBrunch.doc 05_Hilton_2006WeddingMenus_02_PlatedDinner.doc
  4. These are hair styles I scanned in from magazines and found on the internet. I liked aspects of some styles (braids and/or twists), if not the whole style. Some included too many clips, etc. There are about 21 hair styles in the attached files. Anyway, I hope they're helpful. 5. what a crappy situation! it seems so careless of your feelings. i would definitely go with your brother and/or mother who realize how important this is and will support you no matter what!
  6. ok, thanks for the info. i'll pass this on to my FI. transportation is supposed to be his job. he's a procrastinator though...
  7. Was this from the airport? Were they on time? What was the condition of the vehicles? We're trying to hire day of wedding transportation for our guests from the hotel to church and back.
  8. that's a good idea - thank. i'm going to start hard core harassing him now too.
  9. cell 624-151-5529 good luck and let me know how it goes!
  10. We're doing our mass in English. My family is Mexican but my FI's family is not so they wouldn't understand anything in Spanish. I'll be sure to post pics of the church and the wedding!
  11. By word of mouth, I've let people know that they should be more dressy for the church part but can wear dressy flip flops or sandals at the reception should they choose. Shorts are not acceptable. You're right, it IS a wedding.
  12. i really like the "beach chic" answer. i think i'll use that!
  13. Welcome! I'm getting married at the same church next month. Isn't Padre Juve the best?
  14. Has anyone hired AVL Systems as their DJ? I've been in contact with David Flores since June. He says we're booked, but I still have yet to see a song list or feel confident he'll show up at my wedding next month. Any feedback? I'm wondering if I should go another route at this point...
  15. I'm using them to rent bowls for centerpieces (floating candles) and boxes (to fill with sand and starfish for seating). Their prices were reasonable - $10 for bowls & $7 for boxes plus 10% tax. Fatima was easy to work with.
  16. I'm paying $450 USD per hour for mine (Mariachi Internacional Los Cabos), but my Dad called in Spanish to book directly through them (no intermediaries or mark-up).
  17. My wedding is on October 28th. I want to have bridal portraits done next month, which is why I'm working on my alterations now. Also, the bridal salon where I bought my dress is in Houston while I live in Austin, so I've had to plan weekend trips to get the alterations done. You're probably fine waiting 2 months in advance.
  18. I totally understand your anxiety. I keep thinking something awful could happen to my dress. I'm such a worry wart! The coordinator at the hotel is on vacation this week, but I'll check with her next week. Thanks for the tip.
  19. I'm about to have my 2nd wedding gown fitting this weekend and a thought occurred to me. How did ya'll have your gown pressed/steamed upon arrival in Cabo? I don't want my dress to be horribly wrinkled on my wedding day. Any advice? Thanks.
