Wow Tasha! That's fantastic! Everything will be cool, don't worry. I can swoop in & drug some of your guests if you need some to "go away" hahah, just kidding. Are you home from your trip? I bet you got home to a ton of RSVP's! Although I didn't invite as many people as you, the same thing is happening with us...all of the sudden a bunch of peeps who said there was no way they could make the trip are booking. It's getting really exciting!!!

I wish I had taken a pic of the final product - I tied a sheer ribbon around the outside of the invite, it looked really nice. Of course I'm completely out of that ribbon, so I can't re-create it. Definitely a lesson learned: when you think you've bought more than enough supplies (adhesive, ribbon), buy one more, cuz it's never enough!!

Hahaha! I know, I love my mother through & through. And she is definitely not immune to a Dos Equis or boxed wine. She will drink champagne before the wedding because that's what I"ll give her! I like to think that I've adopted her handiness, toughness & practicality and added my own twist of femininity to the mix.

Thanks for posting this Janet. I remembered this from your review & had it noted as a possibility. Looks really fun!

undergarment question
A10CalGal replied to *JillD*'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
You are right Jill - my dress is strapless. You are probably right about it holding it all in & up...it's been so long since I got the damn thing!! I do remember when I would try it on I really felt like the dress kind of held it's own on my body - thanks for reminding me -

Ann, I think our mothers must be related! You totally just described my wonderful mother. Ride a horse, shovel shit, fix a broken water line, even make a wreath - but hair and makeup - fuggitaboutit!!! She will still be there with me - I'll just give her a glass of champagne to keep her busy

undergarment question
A10CalGal replied to *JillD*'s topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
OK, so I just ordered a pair of Spanx online - I got the "Slim Cognito Mid thigh shaper." I really got these for my rehearsal dinner dress that is body skimming. My ghetto bootie is just making the dress fit a bit too tight in that area, so I'm going to give these a try. My wedding dress will not require lower body control - thank goodness! However, I am getting a bit worried about my upper body situation. I'm a full C, small D - and I am planning on sewn in cups. I hope that is enough support & lift! -
Yes! Excellent idea! I only have a MOH, so I can't do this, but I love this idea - so practical & definitely still beautiful.

Did you put in a separate reply card or did you add a line to your regular RSVP? I love these invites! They are amazing! Thanks Kash, very sweet of you to say! I put these together with materials from cardsandpockets.com and some wonderful advice from Karla (she did similar invites), lots of trips to the craft store & a minor melt down recovered by some help from my mom. Honestly, I worked on them for a few hours for 4 consecutive weekends! I had a lot of learnings, so if you are interested, definitely pm me & I can save you some time & heart ache! Regarding my Welcome Dinner insert, I basically wrote where, when, basic directions & that my mom is hosting it. My RSVP card included a line for the welcome dinner & a line for the wedding day. It worked out really well.

I just wanted to share that I received my first 2 RSVP's yesterday!! And they were both YES responses! Yayay!! I've also gotten great feedback on the invites. Two of my friends called to ask me where I had them done. When I told them I did them myself they were AMAZED!! Yeah, it feels good to be done, but it's really fun to hear everyone's reaction to my hard work...I'm getting really excited.

Ann, I just checked that link & it looks like they've completely revamped their system since I last purchased anything. The whole circle thing is new. I would say just buy the basic 9.95 package & try that. If you love it you can always upgrade. That's how I started...eventually I needed a more challenging workout so I got the advanced dvd. Go for it!! Now I need to start doing it again

Definitely keep it simple & true to who you are. I would definitely let him know how excited/happy/?? you are to be starting a new life with your best friend and that you are blessed to have found such a complimentary partner. Yay, I'm so excited for you! I'm sure whatever you write will be special...the fact that you even thought to do this is special -
I highly recommend the Windsor pilates series! I used to do the 20 minute video a few times a week and it completely changed my body. You will love it!

Table Linens - HELP!

Trust me...once the day comes it will really not matter so don't stress too much! Remember that people will be looking at the view and not the tables, I promise! Janet, I was thinking the exact same thing! It's nice to have my thoughts validated by your actual experience!!! -

Hey Amber, I've been to Marbella (well, it was 2 years ago). It really is a gem, especially for the price. Everything Kash said is true, so definitely re-read her info. Marbella is on a basically private beach - I laid out on the beach one day there & the only people I saw were 2 hotel guests returning from a dive trip & the wonderful staff member that brought me a fresh fruit platter & a margarita (that I didn't ask for & didn't get charged for!) It would be a great place for an intimate event, and very affordable. Definitely check it out. My only concern was all of the stairs - there are a million of them & I was worried about my uncle who has a leg prosthesis & my older family members.
