For the ceremony you could even just do the chairs that line the aisle & those on the outside.
  2. Well, I'm only getting them because Cabo Surf only has white & I wanted color. Plus I have so few guests...
  3. I was nervous about the colors at first, but if you scroll down to the end of the listing there is a picture of color swatches that is quite accurate based on the color I got (aqua 136). The color blocks in the body of the listing are stupid - I would ignore those! Here's a sample of the swatches I looked at to choose my color:
  4. Well, quite honestly, I'd be more than happy to give them away to any bride that could use them...maybe just for the cost of shipping. I only bought 25. I think I may use on of them as the ribbon around the stems of my bouquet.
  5. I ordered sheer organza chair ties in aqua from ebay vendor p-linens & they are perfect! They were $1.65 each + $0.10 each for shipping. Here's an example of what they look like.
  6. Hi Jamy - first of all, yay for you for getting your parents to help pay for anything at all! Yes, we are hosting a welcome dinner the Thursday night before the wedding. I don't know that its totallly necessary, but here are my reasons for doing it: 1. These people came all this way, paid for their airfare & accomodations to come to OUR WEDDING! They didn't have to do that...I think this is a nice way to show them how much we appreciate their effort. 2. I want our friends/family to have a chance to mingle & get to know each other before the wedding. 3. I want to acquaint people with the down town & beach area (most are staying in the cooridor) - how better than to start w/drinks &dinner on the beach & then go out afterward? 4. I want to set the tone for a fun, relaxing weekend.
  7. At work I snack on a handful of raw almonds - they are really good for you & don't give you that sugar crash that you would get from "bad snacks." I also try to bring an apple everyday for an afternoon snack.
  8. I would do something like: "The grooms parents, Mr. & Mrs. Groom, host a fiesta style rehearsal dinner at the Fantastic Napa Restaurant, such and such date & time. Please join us in the pre-wedding festivities."
  9. Great job Melissa! I'm impressed. I couldn't spend hundreds of dollars on a veil either, that is highway robbery!
  10. Thanks Natasha. OK, that gives me hope to know you were able to fit your dress in that size bag. My alterations lady did ask me to bring a king size white sheet with me when I pick up the dress. I may just wait until the day before we leave & take her a suitcase too - she'll know better how to pack it than I.
  11. Debs - you have 14 months till you get married! This is enough time to save the $$ you need for your wedding. Be realistic about what you can save & make that be your budget. Between now & your wedding date you will have the opportunity to get -2 tax refunds (hopefully!), 1-bonus from work, and you will have time to save something every month.
  12. Thank you for the feedback ladies. I actually think I may get the naughty monkey - it falls in a way better price range than the others. I will keep looking for a few days, but I do hear the monkey calling!
  13. Hi Mike! I know there was one bride that got married there & had negative feelings about the coordinator, but positive ratings about the other components of her wedding. I've PM'd you some info.

Christa...are you getting so excited. Your wedding is in 3 weeks. I am starting to get anxious and my wedding is 3 weeks after yours!!! I know! Yes, I am getting super excited...not so much anxious. I did go through a very brief bout of anxiety a few weeks ago when I realized "holy crap, this is ACTUALLY happening! I'm getting married! This is permanent!" Then I looked at my FI and realized that's exactly what I want & he is going to be a fantastic life partner...but yeah, I had a full on bodily reaction for a moment!
  15. Kelli - I am in the exact same boat! I had my dress hemmed for barefoot length. I followed Natasha's advice on this - she really wished she had hers hemmed barefoot. I don't think a 2" heel will be a big deal....I'll let you know though!
  16. Thank you for the post! I've been trying to figure out how to honor my grandpa who recently passed away....this just might do the trick.

Oh yeah, they have that "sanitary strip" glued into the bottoms...VS has really easy returns in my opinion.
  18. I guess Edyta & Karla aren't card holding members of the big booty club then? I have zero problem filling things out with my big booty!
  19. I found a few pairs I like on endless.com Endless.com:"Beverly Feldman Women's Bold Thong Sandal,Tan/Turquoise,6 M:Sandals" Endless.com:"Imagine Women's Reena Sandal,Gold,9.5 M:Sandals" Endless.com:"Naughty Monkey Women's Lucy Thong Sandal,Silver,7 M:Sandals"
  20. Thanks ladies for the great site referrals - I'd already scoured zappos & VS, but I will def look at these other. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
  21. No, not the ones shoved under the coffee table! My wedding day shoes! I am having a really hard time finding ones that I like that have a low enough heel. Here's what I'm looking for: Heel height: flat to 2" Style: some sort of open toe...sandal, peep toe, or thong type Color: I really want to have a fun colored shoe - preferable aqua/turquoise to go with my color scheme. Any inspirations or ideas ladies? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
