  2. Tlseege - are you asking me?? I posted a pic already of the dress.

She argued with me over this, insisting I order size 8 - I ordered a 6 & we still have to take in the top!
  4. That sounds pretty rediculous! Prongs should not bend that easily. And your jeweler should be bending over backwards to make this ring fit your lifestyle so you don't have to worry about losing the stone. It is also concerning that they keep sending it out for repair - you need to find a good jeweler that does his own work in house. That way you won't have such a wait time & REAL jewelers have a desire to do quality work & foster life long relationships w/their customers. I would never go back to that place again! I might recommend having the stone set a bit lower too. Mine started up high & I just knew it would be a problem for me, so I had them lower it about 30%. My jeweler used shorter, sturdier prongs because I told him how active I am - and I still want to be able to wear my ring. I've had my ring for just under a year now & never had a problem w/my setting.
  5. Welcome to the world of confusion over time changes...the big problem is that with the US bumping up DST to 3/11 this year, none of us are really sure if Mexico will follow suite. Lucky you= you have over a year to figure it out!
  6. I was gonna say the same thing - support! You need it, believe me! If it weren't for all of my great friends, I seriously may have marched out of my own shower because my grandma was being a total PITA...well, I think the margaritas helped too - but the support was a MUST!
  7. Hi ladies, I posted this along w/the pics from my fitting today, but thought I should post it properly too. Here's my MOH in her dress. The top still needs to be taken in, but you get the idea. It is such a pretty dress..I wish I could capture the softness & flowiness of the fabric in a picture, but Juan Carlos I am not! The dress is by Forever Yours style #76208 in aqua. We got it for less than $100 from Wedding Dresses, Prom Dresses, Wedding Accessories at BestBridalPrices.com
  8. Tammy - I don't think gifts are necessary at all. For some reason it's just what people do. I wanted to give R a momento from the day (well, other than me & his ring!). I also plan to sit down the morning of the wedding & write him a letter from my heart...I think that's really the best gift personally.
  9. Wow Tammy - look at all your stuff! I agree w/the other girls on the earrings...in the pic they don't really look like they work w/the necklace. You could just do like me & wait until the day you get married to decide which accessories to wear & which to nix...that's my plan
  10. So pretty Anny! I still can't believe you only paid 99 cents for that!
  11. OK, I totally missed this thread when it started. Glenda, dude, you are serious crackup! I love all your tshirt ideas. So today I purchase some rhinestone "Bride" shirts from Personalized T-Shirts, Personalized T-Shirt, Customized T-Shirts, Customized T-Shirt - CustomizedWorld.com they are like this, only I got 2 tanks - one white & one baby blue. I also got their customized panties to say "Rafael's Booty" on the back!! I think he'll like that
  12. Wow, Jessalyn, those are seriously AMAZING!!! They are so beautiful...I am in awe. Where did the pocket fold come from? Don't even tell me you hand crafted those! Wow....
  13. Well, in a way it keeps me from buying more things online if I troll around here all day! I have a lot of posting to catch up w/TammyM & her BAPW syndrome tee hee!
  14. Thanks Jill! yeah, I'm pretty much in that "I'm still here physically but totally on vacation mentally" stage. Have you noticed I've been on the forum like all day today? I'm just giddy & excited & WOOHOO!!!! I've been busy confirming stuff w/vendors & re-running the budget blah blah blah. I honestly have done maybe an hour of work today......oops
  15. I know, i know!! I'll try my darndest....I don't want FI to see all my cool new resort wear until we're there, so I'll have to go into stealth mode again LOL!
  16. I GOT MY STUFF TODAY!! MY VS STUFF - THE GREEN DRESS & THE MULTI-PRINT DRESS...I CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOME & TRY THEM ON.
  17. I know - I like to call him a horologist in public every once in a while! It's fun
  18. Ok, ok, we'll wait till after the wedding. I guess I'm a little busy right now to stage an intervention anyway. Seriously though, you have beautifully infused your own style & sense of creativity into these projects...sure you borrowed a general idea, but you so totally made it your own. I would say you have effectively branded your wedding! Ever consider getting into marketing?
  19. Hey Sarah, if you want a really nice watch for a really good price, check out the Invicta watch selection on shopnbc.com My FI is a watch enthusiast (mildly stated) and he has some bizarre degree in clock making (horology!!!) and he loves these watches - he says they are an amazing value. I've bought him like 2 or 3
  20. OK Sarah, you are seriously freaking me out! You are buying REAMS of metallic paper? There are 5 additional DIY projects you just mentioned.... Honey, do we need to stage a DIY Intervention?
  21. We are! I got him a very simple money clip from bluenile.com I had it engraved with our names & wedding date. Kinda cheesy, but I know he'll love it!
  22. Absolutely BEAUTIMOUS Sarah! You are so Martha...you have figured out so much DIY stuff...you should write a book!
  23. I swear, it's true. Either that or tanning has actually begun melting away my fat!
  24. You know, I normally use Neutrogena spray self tanner & it works really well, doesn't turn you orange - you should check it out.
