  1. I work in a small office of 5 staff members & 3 partners & I didn't invite any one of them. I made it very clear early on that this was an intimate event. I would honestly have loved to invite my boss & the owners, but it just wouldn't work for us to all be out of the office at once. so I just didn't even invite any of them...I don't think they were offended.
  2. I have not used dieters tea...but I drink peppermint tea all the time. For any of you that have water retention/bloating problems, this stuff completely rids me of all excess water, quick! It's a great alternative to diuretics.
  3. How fun Christine! You have good bridesmaids!!

My FI went to Walmart (bless his soul) and bought a brand new printer for $39 that got me through all of my printing projects. It's really stupid that it's cheaper to buy a new printer than replace ink cartridges, isn't it??
  5. The embossing is amazing! Seriously Sarah, you are DIY outta control! I am so impressed with everthing you've managed to turn out in the last few days! Question I've been meaning to ask you _ what font is that??
  6. You are completely insane! Just kidding...they look perfect. You really did a great job carrying your theme thru all of your paper projects.
  7. Sarah!! OMG, those look fantastic! I love the brad detailing on all of the pieces. I'm so glad my templates helped you...lets also thank Karla who originally shared hers w/me. Great job girl!
  8. How wonderful Lindsay! Everything looks gorgeous...can't wait to see/hear more!
  9. I'm pretty sure if you give the ties to your WC, they will take care of it.

  11. I'm sure it will work out...as they say "it takes a village" I guess my issue is that I would prefer it if my FI was dealing with this issue instead of me. I did leave him a vent-y voicemail earlier...and I have a massage after work, so that should help.
  12. haha...funny you should say that about the car Jessalyn. He turns 16 in about a week. He has not even gotten his driving permit yet! In CA you have to go thru that whole process to get your DL at 16. He totally doesn't care about it right now. I told him when he turns 16 he's going to figure out how to get from point A to point B without us...we'll see how that turns out.
  13. Can you come spend about 9 days in Cali & take care of our 16 year old, the cat & the dog? Richard is pretty low maintenance...just needs a ride to school in the morning, to be picked up after track practice...make sure there is cereal & milk & pasta in the house & he's good to go!
  14. I'm going to try really hard to keep this as brief as possible. OK, so less than 2 weeks before we leave for Cabo. I feel like every time I answer the phone, or even call anyone I get some negative news that I can't do anything about but feel stressed over it. Example: just called my mom to say "hi" while I was out getting lunch. She is all stressed because her dog Shadow (my dog till I went away to college) is not doing well. He is an almost 14 years old laborador retreiver. He is the best, we all love him to death. Well, it was just discovered he has kidney stones as well a some sort of tumor growing inside him. Super sad So now of course she's worried about leaving him with someone else for a week while she's in Cabo. AND - she's telling me she can't be in charge of our 16 year old as has been the plan while we're on the honeymoon. She can't be hauling her dog back & forth from her house to our house. I understand, but FRICK! What do I do? Meanwhile R is busy working way too much...seriously every weekend & every night he's doing something on his computer work related. Its wearing on him, but he's not admitting it...but he's kinda being a butt head in the process. I just feel like right now I'm left alone to absorb all this stress for things I can't do anything about. I have this awful feeling in my gut & I can feel massive anxiety in my chest. I'm trying to do some yoga breathing to chill out a bit....seems like nothing is easy right now....
  15. Sarah - I think your text sounds great! It's catchy and fun. I think all you need to worry about is putting together the graphics & layout. I bet someone like Anny might be able to help you with that...
  16. Wow, that sounds complicated, but probably a good idea if you feel like you guest list is huge. I would imagine you prioritize each guest - A being most important can't live without guests; B being the guests you'd like to have but won't die without & C being the "courtesy" invites. Then you could send invites out in waves with early RSVP's for the A's & so on. Then you would only send out C invites if you have room in light of the prior RSVP's. Sounds hard to manage though - cuz a lot of ppl don't RSVP on time...
  17. Wonderful & informative review Sarah. I really appreciate hearing about the public bus since many of my guests are planning on relying on that option during their stay. You are so organized! And smart! What a load off of your mind to have all your decor & oot items already there. That is going to be a PITA for me And I agree, Hilton brides must have breathed a huge sigh of relief upon hearing about Emeline & her level of organization. YAY!
  18. FRICK!@!!! I am so pissed about this whole time issue...I just got an email from my photog. He went & scouted my location yesterday to see where the sun will/will not be during the time of our ceremony, which is scheduled for 5pm. I went to CSH yesterday for you and took these photos between 4:45 and 5:00 p.m. which should give you an idea of the sun coverage on the beach @ the time of your ceremony. From what I could tell the sun will be entirely gone from the beach @ 5:30 p.m. because it sets behind some hills at the back of CSH. Photography is all about natural light, the more light the better the photos, particularly at the beach. Have you considered having the ceremony a little earlier? I did this scouting yesterday because I want you to be totally aware. If we take the majority of the pics AFTER the ceremony I will be photographing in low light and will need to use a flash. I did a little more research & it looks like Mexico will not be changing their time until April (as mentioned in previous post). So now I need to try to adjust everything back an hour - hair/makeup, musicians, ceremony time, cocktail hour, dinner hour. DAMMIT!!!~
  19. Oh that sounds cool Natalie! How fun...
  20. I would honestly expect to receive more attention in the 3 to 4 weeks leading up to your day. However, you def should have gotten price quotes already! That would make me a little uncomfortable not to have quotes yet....you might need to raise a little bit of a stink.
  21. Oh, honey, I'm sorry - retail jewelers suck! I wish you could take back that "lifetime repair plan" you bought. I would def think about visiting a local JEWELER to see what they would charge you to give you what you want. Just FYI, when I had changes made to my ring when I first got it, it only took 2 or 3 days total...and I can walk in there any day of the week & have my ring cleaned & inspected at no cost.
