  4. Yay Ann!! I missed this earlier. Good job on the solo photo shoot - it's hard, huh? And, absolutely the alterations will make all the difference....swear!

  6. There is a thread on this already that may be helpful for you. Check it out: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t985
  7. Our reception was full of glass clinking! And the funny thing was that some people thought it meant "pay attention someone is going to do a toast" and others thought it meant we were supposed to kiss. It was very confusing! But we played along
  8. Lets see... New:my dress! Old/Borrowed: the baroque pearls necklace I wore that was handed down from my gma to my mom. Blue: my earrings
  9. Tammy - I think you could do so many different things with your hair that would be beautiful. I remember from a previous thread that you were thinking of a half-up style with sexy/beachy curls. I think you can do whatever you want with a hair flower - it's more about placement. I like the flower you posted, but think it would be better placed back behind your ear, closer to the nape of your neck....know what I mean??

  11. Yes, we were at Baja Cantina Beach for the dinner. And, believe me, we ended up having to get Isabel's husband to come into the women's bathroom cuz we just could not handle her. She was wearing a skirt, and at one point sat in her own puke. So her entire butt was covered with it, it was gross.

Yes, that is my friend Isabel, and she would probably absolutely kill me for sharing that pic! She full on passed out at our welcome dinner. Then she got pretty messy (barfed all over herself). So glad we did this on Thursday & not Friday.
  13. No prob! If you decide you like it, definitely check netbride.com and other sites like that!
  14. I just googled it, is this the dress? If so it runs $322.00 - 400.00.

  16. Well, I never meant that he's shy...just that I don't think he "got it" that girls think he's hot.
  17. I wish I had some better pics of the actual venue, but these are pretty fun anyway. Big up's for the koozies!! http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=i9q691l.5mgvz551&x=0&y=-t3pemn
  18. OK, these are totally non-pro pics, but I think some of them are hilarious. It also explains why chair ties are a lot of fun!!! http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=i9q691l.7y9sq9l1&x=0&y=1qjoks
  19. You are a mind reader! I feel the same way about my hair...same, same, same. I want to do something different, but I'm aprehensive... Anyway - I like you with highlights for spring/summer! And, Courtney - I think you were referring to Low Lights!
  20. Rachelle - you are a very complicated girl! I rarely go to Starbucks, but when I do there is alway one of those bizzarro orders & I have no idea what the mean! I am a very simple coffee w/soymilk & splenda girl. We're out of coffee at home though, so I've been unleaded the last few days. GRRRR!!! We need to learn how to grocery shop again...
  21. Melissa! That was beautiful. OK, I'm sitting here at my desk almost crying and I've got goose bumps - so much for my freshly shaven legs!!
  22. Welcome & congrats! I have heard of Amy Abbott of Earth,Sea,Sky...I can't really recall whether it was positive or negative. I think you'll do just great on your scouting trip - it sounds like you are pretty on top of it. Do you have a list of potential venues you are going to visit?
  23. I considered doing postcards for RSVP's, but my FI insisted it was tacky & that his sisters would surely comment on it. Funny how none of them actually RSVP's anyway! I did pocket fold invites, so I was just going to make my RSVP insert into a postcard by addressing the reverse side & sticking a stamp on it. Make sure you meet the US Postal requirements if you do this: You may think that your mailpiece is a "card," because it is a single sheet of paper. But to qualify for mailing at First-Class Mail card rates, a card must be: Rectangular At least 3-½ inches high x 5 inches long x .007 inch thick No more than 4-¼ inches high x 6 inches long x .016 inches thick
