OMG! I was wondering what happened with this. That is completely a bull shit deal - it's a rigged severance package...designed so they don't have to give it to anyone. I would def consult an attorney on this. Any RIF I've been witness to has always involved a proper severance package commensurate with the length of service. I'm very sorry this has happened to you. I know it has got to be devastating...but I am confident you will find a new & better path

Honestly, this does not surprise me. I wouldn't freak out too much...but I would probably be working on booking my own photographer - that's the thing that you will run out of time on.

Wow, I've been following your thread. I am sorry this has happened to you. But like the others have mentioned, better before the marriage is official...although in a lot of states you would be considered common law spouses at this point. I think that he must be incredibly weak/scared...it just doesn't make sense to spend 10 years and make 2 babies with someone & not want to marry them. Sorry girl, but you totally deserve better.
