  1. Oh my gosh Tammy, thank you for posting that link! What a trip, as I read Dawn's bio, I realize that I have met her mentor Linda Tellington Jones!! I actually did a research project on telepathic communication with horses when I was in 7th or 8th grade. Awesome! I am scheduling an appt asap!
  2. Thank you Lauren! Taking notes now, heading to the pet store ASAP!!
  3. As I type she is laying next to me on the bed incessantly licking herself. It stresses me out rediculously! I get so pissed. "STOP IT!!" and then i have to make a loud noise or throw something at her to even get her attention> Ugh> I was thinking maybe living in this apartment is getting to her like it"s getting to the rest of us> (i don"t know what"s going on with my keyboard here)> In reality< i think she"s been doing this for a while< it"s just gotten worse> She has these horrbile scabs all around her neck & ears from scratching. And then she scratches the scabs. It's horrible. I did talk to the vet about her itchiness a while back & we changed her food which made a bit of a difference. The current behavior is just pure neurosis. I love my kitty, but lately I just really hate her behavior!!
  4. I have recently had some very unpure thoughts about my kitty. Brittany is 10 years old, I've had her since she was a 6 week old kitten. Lately I have caught myself saying things like "oh my god Brittany, I'm going to kill you" and "shut the f&%$ up." She has just become the most neurotic cat ever. She is constantly licking herelf, scratching herself, ripping her hair out or screaming at me (loud meow informing me she would like to eat). I am woken up in the middle of the night with her stomping all over my head & meowing or having a full on lick-fest on my chest. If I lock her out of our room she just does the yelling meow thing all night long. A few nights ago I actually thought to myself that she doesn't have much left in her lifespan...so maybe she'll go away soon. Isn't that awful? Any thoughts on making her chill out??
  5. OMG Carrie, that video is perfect!! -Honey, wanna come to bed? -I CAN'T! My night elf is mining. What?? Wow. And I thought my husband's space shuttle simulator game was retarded.
  6. Wow, this thread is educational. Too bad we didn't have this on going BEFORE WE MOVED TO WASHINGTON!! Being a native Cali girl, none of this makes any sense whatsoever. We've actually considered driving to the next state to buy liquor until I decided to investigate the situation. Yeah, both Idaho to our east & Oregon to our south are control states. I thought it was awesome in Arizona where they have drive thru liquor stores. So, you could buy liquor & smokes at a drive up window, all the while you can have 2 guns strapped to your leg. Apparently there are 18 states that participate in the "control" of alcohol. Here's a nice little blurb about why this is: The control jurisdictions represent 28% of the nation's population (1997) and account for 25% of its sales of distilled spirits. In the regulation of alcohol beverages, they are the alternative to the license states -- where wholesale and retail sales of distilled spirits and wine are wholly in the hands of private sellers. By the participating in the marketplace, the control jurisdictions are able to serve their citizens with a broader and more flexible range of policy options for promoting moderation in the consumption of alcohol beverages and for reducing alcohol abuse. By keeping liquor out of the private marketplace, no economic incentives are created to maximize sales, open more liquor stores or sell to underage persons. Instead, all policy incentives to promote moderation and to enforce existing liquor laws are enhanced.

Diana, Two things: a) You keep your fav drink recipe in your wallet - that is just fricking awesome in so many ways! that sounds super yummy & it's going on my list.

  9. I love Boboli for a quick home made pizza. However, I very much LOVE me a home made crust. My mom makes her own sourdough crust...she's all crafty & has a jar of sourdough starter in the fridge at all time. For those of us that still work, I think that the stuff in the freezer section is still pretty great. I also agree w/the pizza stone - that thing rocks big time!
  10. Jami - I know, I was totally shocked about the whole no liquor on Sunday thing. Actually, and this is funny, it took me a good 3 trips to Safeway before it dawned on me that you can't actually buy liquor at grocery stores. I kept thinking I had missed the liquor section. Odd that I would miss it because the entire rest of the store is arranged just like every other Safeway. GRRRR.. Yes, wine & beer are available, but no liquor. And then the thought translated to Costco...how can I not buy premium liquor in large quantities for a great price?? Yeah, well, gotta travel home to Cali for that one. One of my good friends in the OC has promised to send me a Costco sized bottle of Ketel One for my bday, but that's not till July!!!
  11. Some how I managedto miss this inital post - maybe because I was moving... anyway glad somebody bumped it. Nice cheesy Vegas wedding story! You are so beautiful & classy. I am super glad you guys did not fall for the chapel BS. Stunning couple!!
  12. OMG Maria, I was uber shocked to find that there are no liquor sales on Sunday! What the hell with that??
  13. Ugh, you guys are killing me here! It's only 3:30 here...and I'm totally down for a martini. This whole state controlled liquor store thing here in WA sucks though. Liquor costs way more here than I'm used to paying. A fifth of good vodka is at least $25
  14. Mmmmm, I love pomegranate martini's. I saw that on Oprah too. Although I am going to be honest & admitt that 1.5 cups of juice to 2 oz. of alcohol just doesn't work for me, so I reduce the juice quantity
  15. That's so awesome Catherine! How exciting! I wish we could see pics too
  16. You are so cute. I think it would be fun if you continued typing on the forum, just forget the Y's & T's. or, in your new language: ou are so cue. I hink i would be fun if you coninued ping on he forum, jus forge the 's & 's.
  17. Cats & their crap - always an ongoing battle in our house hold. Glad to know I'm not alone. The dog is awesome cuz she craps outside...the cat is absolutely driving us crazy right now for various reasons. She sure pees enough for like 5 cats. It's amazing. I would be afraid her ginormous pee clumps would break the machine. Fun fact: we live in a tiny apartment. When we moved here it was still fall, so it totally worked to have the dog & cat food as well as her litter box outside on the patio. Well, once it started getting cold that didn't work out. Now we have the cat box in our tiny laundry room that is connected to our tiny kitchen. If someone closes the door to the laundry (which you basically have to do to open the fridge), then we all get to wake up to the death cry meow in the middle of the night. Fun times. (and totally off topic - sorry)
  18. Jaime!! This sucks. I really hope that you get some answers & solutions soon. I know we've talked about this before because you & I have had similar issues w/the anxiety & the adrenal gland blowout...I definitely advocate finding a homeopathic doctor. I've had wonderful success with mine. It is not cheap, but I must say, for me it is worth it. Thinking warm gentle urinary thoughts for you
  19. I use Colorscience mineral powder foundation - it has an spf of 25. It's much like bare minerals. It's works well in Cabo because it's sweat proof.
  20. Do they have a Gamers Anonymous program or something? This reminds me of a South Park episode I saw recently. It was about Guitar Hero and they were all into it & it caused all these problems amongst friends & what not. Everytime they made a new record score, the audience on the game would cheer & the screen would say "You Rock" or something. Well, when they finally beat the whole game, the screen said "YOU ARE A FAG!"
  21. It's hard because as you plan this wedding you start to feel like EVERYTHING you put out there is a reflection of you & your relationship & you swear it's all being analyzed...but most likely it's not. Isn't this fun? So, I went simple and informal with "The honor of you company is requested as Christa xxXXX and Rafael xxxxxx Say I Do" blah blah blah
  22. Wow Tammy - interesting articles. OK Drea, so tell Erik to back it off or you will send him to S.Korea & pimp him out as an extreme gamer for $100K/year.
  23. Guess what else I got for Christmas?? A freaking bladder infection. UGH, it just hit me while I'm sitting here at my desk. Can I go home now?
